The back is folded over the front and sewn to make an edging. Overall it is in quite good condition for its age. I counted about 4 places on the quilt that had a small amount of wear or damage. I showed two of these areas in pictures 8 and 9. So this quilt is NOT IN PERFECT CONDITION and I am selling it in as is condition. The quilt is quite heavy weighing just under 5 pounds alone. I will always combine shipping whenever possible to make sure you spend the least amount. I use the least expensive way of shipping I can which is usually the slowest method. If you need the package sent more quickly please let me know so that I can calculate the cost and send you an updated bill. I add a 1.00 handling fee to cover shipping supplies. Here is a vintage quilt top piece. Started long ago and never finished! This piece measures approx. 24" x 27" It was made with 2" squares all hand sewn together. The center has solid pink and pink gingham. Then it has a multitude of other colors, solids and prints. There are black and blue daisies. This early primitive quilt has been turned into a 60" round tablecloth. It has the look for sure! Would also make a great Christmas tree skirt. Fabulous colors of indigo blue. The colors are much nicer in person with a white background. I put the quilt on my double bed so you can see how far it hangs over on the sides. This has so much detailed quilting in the center. I want to make sure you can get a good look at it! I had this for years and I got it along with two other quilts that had won ribbons in a New York fair. Vintage~Yo-Yo Quilt Block~108 Yo Yo's!!~Nice Size~No Reserve!!
Here is a vintage. Handmade quilt block! This block started as a piece of gold fabric, then 108 hand-sewn yo-yo's were stitched in a circle design. The gold fabric measures 19" square. The circle itself measures approx. 15" x 16" There is one red yo yo in the center. Then rows of blue, a purple print. Green, a shiny yellow/gold, solid purple then navy or black print. The yo-yo's measure anywhere from from 1 inch to 1.5 inches across. They all have a tiny yellow center stitched in place. I have shown the back. I think just clipping a few of the hand stitches will release this piece from the back/gold fabric. The piece is very old and has been stored folded for years. I have not attempted to wash it, some of the yo-yo's have some staining or are dirty. Look at the tiny diamond pieces that she used between the flowers. This quilt has a white background and a golden yellow accent color. The flowers are made of feedsack and prints of the era. Some of which had probably lived a long life before hitting the quilt scrap pile. The hexagon pieces measure just 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" It is hand quilted at 8-9 stitches per inch. It has quilted flowers and a quilted double chain pattern around the border. It is hand bound. It measures 73 1/2" W x 85" L This quilt is in good. Not perfect condition and displays beautifully. Freshly hand laundered. There is fading in some of the flowers. There ... moreare 17 flowers with popping ranging from very little wear, to alot of popping, there is one seam opening on the binding, some light binding wear, and a couple tiny spots ranging from pin dot to rice size. See photos. There are also a couple very light spots ranging from pea size to a little bigger than silver dollar size, all of which were too light to photograph. Sweet and clean. It is thin and has no batting. It is hand stitched. It is hand sewn together. It measures 81 1/2" x 69" This piece is in good antique condition. But far from perfect. There is missing and loose embroidery throughout, there are a few areas on the front with shredding, most of it is light, there are a couple pinholes, a couple light tiny, spots pin dot to rice size, there is also a couple areas of shredding on the back, and there is a 7 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece missing from a corner on the back. 1890s Blue & White Quilt Victorian Embroidery Children & Pets All Handmade
Dating from the Victorian period. This blue and white block quilt has each white block embroidered with very interesting subjects and some are even bizarre especially the"Candy Kid" and the spring block showing a girl using a boy to harness the plow for the fields. Size is 56" by 80" and the only damage I can see is the 2 small black marks on one of the off white blocks. The embroidery is light so have to look closely to see the images. Antique mostly cotton CRAZY QUILT 78 X 92, IN BLOCKS, DARK BROWN PRINT BACKING
This warm and comfortable late 19th century crazy quilt was originally bought in New Jersey. It is 78" x 92" Hand pieced. Binding added. 1/4" wide. Five by six blocks. Each about 15 1/2" square. Notice the two actual pieced blocks. The backing is a single dark. Dark brown arrow print with tiny red dots on a machine ground. Quilted on the diagonals every 3 1/2 inches. There are a couple of small patches of probably wool or silk that are disintegrating- see photos. The binding is worn. But otherwise this thick quilt is in good condition. Some stains show on the back. But not on the front. I describe the items to the best of my ability, but I may miss some details which a collector or expert would look for. Items are as described. Set of embroidered quilt blocks from 1928. 11 are finished and 4 are here with the pattern and fabric to finish. These were collected from the Enquirer and Evening News in 1928. The smallest of these is 8 x 8 1/2 and the larger is closer to 9 inches square. All need to be square up and trimmed. The 4 that are not done have the newspaper piece to trace the pattern and a little info on the bird for which you will be stitching. VINTAGE 30-40s Flower Garden QUILT TOP + Extra Pieces 83x77" Click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge c1930-40. The flowers in the piece are outlined by very light cream colored pieces. There is a flower missing from the top and from the bottom but this quilt top does some with 6 extra flowers. Five of which are attached to each other. It is hand pieced. It measures 83" x 77" Very good condition. There is the flower missing from the top and the one missing from the bottom. There are a few spot throughout ranging from pin dot to about pea size, two seam openings, two flowers have some light fading, and there is one flower with a couple seam openings/loose pieces as shown in the photos. There is also some light age tanning that was too light to photograph. 1.6 lbs A8114-5. Vintige 1800s Turkey Red, White and Navy Blue Antique Quilt Top
In this 58 length and 47 wide quilt top we are able to look back to the perfect art of quilting history in excellent condition. Machine stitched top with muslin background and pieces of lovely feedsack prints and plaids for the quilted squares. The age is determined by the feedsack materials and it is incredible the preservation done to save this quilt by someone who loved it. A true collectors' quilt top 200 years old!

Primitive Repurposed Wool Crazy Quilt Mini Pillow/Tuck Pinkeep/Pincushion This item is made from repurposed wool clothing that has been taken apart and the wool felted. I then hand dye it to achieve the colors I want. This particular piece is made from part of an old Air Force wool blanket(the blue part) It is hand stitched until I have to put the backing on. Then I stuffed it with wool scraps to give it a heavy. Firm feel. This is a great piece to display with any Patriotic items You can use it on a shelf. In a basket or bowl, or use it as a pincushion. Primitive Americana Pin Cushion Made From Antique Tin Measure Cup and Old Quilt Alrighty– I am slowly working my way to the last of the antique dealer auction items. So I did some power shopping yesterday to replenish the shelves… and did I get lucky! I have some fabulous early primitives to list this week, antique and vintage folk art, early tools, beautiful Victorian items– there’s something for everyone– you won’t be disappointed! Holy Moly. This one would charm the whiskers off of a kitten! It's a hand made pin cushion, made from an antique tin measure and a very old hand stitched quilt piece. Now, I don't know when it was made, I don't think it was a newly made item, but I can tell you that it sounds and feels like the cushion is stuffed with foam rubber-but old and dried, because you can hear it when you push on it. It wall ... moreworks for this oldee, though- it is fabulous and a one of a kind for sure. The old measure measures(I've been waiting to say that! 6" tall to the top of the pin cushion 4 3/4" wide handle to end and 3" diameter at the bottom. It weighs 1/2 lb. It is in excellent solid and sturdy condtion. The tin is sound, with an age darkened patina and a handful of teeenie dings to the bottom and body. There's some dings and two teeenie cracks to the edge of the handle- one on either side right at the rim and in the same spot- see photo 8. They are small and there's no movement there. The handle has a repair solder at the bottom and it looks like there may be a repair to the top too- all part of its story and all keeping it strong. There's a solder repair at a spot on the bottom, I'm assuming from when the cup was used to measure. There are very light isolated spots of surface rust, surface only. One a little thicker on the bottom, but still it's only on the surface. The quilt colors are faded red, faded white and faded blue. There's spots of wear to the material- round spots where you can see fraying of the top of the quile, but it holds strong to
