It measures ... more82” by 80” The quilt is in good shape for its age. It does have some wear to the edges that could be rebound and three flower octagon blocks have some wear/damage. The backside is all white. It has a few dark browning spots. Some yellowing at one edge and one small hole that does not go through to the front. I did not try to clean or treat the quilt so the spots might be able to be taken out. This is a super nice quilt and very old. It is fresh from a local estate. But this belonged to my great-grandmother who was born in 1867 but I don't know when she made it or acquired it. Approximate Measurements: 92" x 70" The pillow cover measures 15" by 15" This is a beautiful vintage handstitched quilt with a hexagon honeycomb pattern. This handmade folk art quilt has over 6000 multi-colored hexagon pieces. The variety in the different flowers is amazing. So many different flower patterns and colors expertly put together. This beautiful piece has to be seen to get the true appearance much better than pictures show due to lighting conditions. It features a lovely collection of vintage fabrics. Some feed sack I think. The cotton batting is light weight and evenly distributed. Each hexagon measures 1 inch wide. The hexagons on the pillow are 3/4 inches wide. There are about 260 hexagons on the pillow case. The quality is very good with very light wear. The edge around the quilt has frayed. I showed the most extreme fraying in a picture. There are also two light purple pen marks, one of which bled through, also shown in pictures but hard to find when you are just looking at the quilt as a whole.

With mem'ries written'twixt youth& age. From the old song Patchwork Beautiful old quilt made around the Turn of the Century by Nellie Marie Moreland(1892-1986) of Harrison county Ohio. Near Tappan Lake. This quilt has been well-preserved through the years. the colors are still very vibrant except for a light faded fold mark that you can see in the lower corner of the quilt. There are no other fade marks, only one very, very light stain in picture#11. There are no rips, tears, holes or fraying. ... moreThis quilt has a very striking geometrical design with the triangles criss crossing& interesecting each other. All are made from those wonderful old fabrics in cinnamon, indigo blue, cranberry, black& white prints, and earthtone fabrics that actually date back prior to the Civil War. T he heart with homely tasks content. Gorgeous Turkey Red antique quilt made around the Turn of the Century. The quilt is signed PIG ~ a piece of fabric sewn in one of the corners written in old fountain ink. This pattern is a variation of a pattern known as Young Man's Fancy. This quilter added pieces by piecing another small Nine Patch in the center of each block instead of using one square only. It looks fantastic! Each 16" block is made up of ... more87 pieces ~ all pieced completely by hand. There are several other names for this pattern depending upon which reference book you use: Goose in the Pond. Unique Nine Patch, Patchwork Fantasy, Geometric Garden, Scrap Bag, Mrs. Wolf's Red Beauty, Bachelor's Puzzle, Missouri Puzzle. The quilt measures 76" x 74" is in very good condition. The turkey red is as vibrant as the day the quilt was made(pieced to a very light beige backing) There is one dirt mark& 2 old water stains with a small wear spot in the border(see last 2 pictures) What I believe happened causing that wear spot was that there was probably a little stain there& someone tried treating the wrong way& wore through the fabric. Then letting that area dry on it's own causing the water marks. I will be glad to offer a remedy for this to the buyer. The quilting is extremely nice! Very tiny& even stitches(10 spi) were used to make a small 1/2" grid design in the rectangular white blocks& double diagonal lines through the patterned blocks. The borders were quilted using a double twisted rope design. The red blocks are quilted in an elaborate sunflower design. Gorgeous quilt! Displ

I bought several of her quilts& will be listing all of them this week. Many of her quilts were exhibited in the Delaware(Ohio) Art Museum in 1974. This quilt has never been laundered& certainly does not need to be now. It's crisp& clean ~ you can still see the pencil trace lines. You might recognize this quilt pattern as"Robbing Peter to Pay Paul" but it is actually called"Dolly Madison's Work Box" the difference being that the blocks alternate in color. It only makes sense that Mrs. Evans made this quilt. Dolly Madison was born in Philadelphia, Pa. into the Quaker faith. The quilt measures 82" x 67" is in extremely good condition, museum quality, with no rips, tears or holes, no fraying. You will only find one pin point-sized stain& one other small very light one(pictures 13& 14) The quilting is amazing with 11 spi. The borders are quilted in a long rainbow design and a very unique diamond design. The blue blocks are quilted with diagonal lines that cross in the centers forming a grid design while the white blocks are quited with a grid

Rare Antique Gorgeous 1920 Crazy Quilt
Beautiful Crazy quilt from 1920 Rich Velvet mixed with satin-like material. Hand stitched. Embroidered with makers names some wear and tear in some areas but all in all for a piece of work done from the early 1900's this is still in excellent condition. Has a few spots where satin has worn away and can see the backing quilted. Back has some stain and a tiny burn-like hole I am not a quilter but couldn't resist this beautiful piece of history at a local Ky auction. Antique Vintage 1 DRESDEN PLATE Quilt Block originally from Lancaster County. Pa. c.1930-1940. This beautiful quilt block is approx. 14 inches across and is ALL Hand-Pieced. It is also basted around the center hole and outside edges very neatly. The 17 petals are a mixture of Apron and dress cotton fabrics of the day. Each petal measures 5.25" long and 2.25" wide. The colors are typical 1930's-40's purple. Pinks, blue, with white, etc. This block lies flat. Excellent/Mint condition and project ready. Clean. Strong and sturdy, no spots or stains or loose seams. A highly collected pattern created to look like needlework. It is filled with pretty yellow flowers with green leaves on a white and purple background. Each piece measures just 1" x 1" Hand quilted at 6-7 stitches per inch. There is a 1" grid and braiding throughout the quilting. Hand bound and pieced. Filled with a thin cotton batting. Very crisp. From an estate. This is an old flour sack that someone opened, piped in red, and turned into a small tablecloth. It measures about 44 by 35" and is in excellent condition, no holes, stains or tears. Vintage 28 Feedsack Quilt Pieces Fans or Dresden? These fans or dresden quilt pieces have been machine sewn. The pink quarter circles and the outside edges have been sewn by hand. The outside edges have been turned over and hemmed with a wide stitch 4 stitches per inch and the same with the pink pieces in the center. Those haven't been turned over just stitched on to the other pieces in the fan. From the very tip of the pink quarter circles to the outside tip edge is 9 1/2 inches and from the widest parts across 12 inches. In one of the last pictures I put four of them together to show the possibilities of these pieces. There were a couple of these that did have some light spots but I think once this has been made into a complete quilt you can wash it and possibly they may come out. These pieces are in good condition and just waiting ... moreto be put to good use. These have been previously owned. We have other vintage linens in our store. ~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~ A lovely antique French Provencal quilt! Wonderful aged. Timeworn textile ~ This piece began its life as an 18th century quilt, with the pale blue first layer! Then was added to later c1830 with the wonderful printed cotton yellow ground fabric. The back side, the pale faded floral side dates from the late 1800's ~ as often was the case, these textiles were simply covered when the fabrics began to show wear or were outdated! This textile is 100% hand stitched. The yellow printed side is block printed using a beautiful floral bouquet! tiny little picotage decorate the bottom of the bouquet ~ this textile has a dense cotton batting. A gorgeous decorative textile! ~*~ This is a complete textile, and each side is hand stitched closed ~ This piece is ideal for reworking, collecting, reproduction, wall ... morehanging, unpicking etc! ~ etc ~( please see condition details below) ~ ~*~( piece 502) MEASUREMENTS: This piece measures approx. 57 inches by 47 inches ~ ~ CONDITION: This piece is in original. As found, unwashed condition with marks on each side! ~ this piece has many small holes on the yellow side exposing the batting and the 18th century blue layer beneath~ it's best to view the photographs using the zoom feature to see the condition clearly. This textile should not be water washed as the yellow printed cotton may deteriorate when laundered. Cute Antique / Vintage Handmade Alphabet Nursery Quilt
Here is a very sweet hand quilted nursery quilt. Each embroidered letter has a correlating object with a name that begins with said letter. There are a couple of oxidation or storage marks.
