I am back from a monster shopping trip to the World’s Longest Yard ... moreSale– we shop Ohio every year and then stop at some of my favorite spots in Indiana to buy from. Spent 2 whole days taking photos and still not done– I have a LOT and I’ll be listing for weeks. There’s something for everyone- primitive antiques, ephemera, military, railroad, industrial, farm finds– you name it, I have it and it’s all unique– you’ll want to keep checking, as I will list every day. Enjoy! Wow. Is this one cool. It's a very old antique water bucket that is small barrel in shape, that I purchased at a farm sale in Ohio. This bucket is rustic to look at as it is(and veryveryvery barn fresh dirty) but let me tell you- it's as sturdy as the oak that it is made from. The bucket weighs a hefty 4 lbs, and that's a lot for its size- it measures 7 3/4" tall at the top, 7 3/16' diameter across the top and 6 3/16" diameter across the bottom. It has its three original iron bands, and they are well in place, as are the wood staves- there's no wiggle or jiggle with this one at all. If you look in photo 5, you can see an iron loop that's on one side- and there's another in the same spot on the opposite side. That's where the iron wire handle used to be- it's long gone, and you could replace it with your own if you wanted to, but I think it's just fine the way it is. On the center band, you can also see two holes in the iron, punched holes, one on one side of that band, and the other in the same spot on the other side(just like the handle loops) They are not beneath the handle loops, they are about 1" from them. They were made, so clearly had a purpose, I just have no idea what it was. I stuck the end of a paperclip inside, and it appears as if the two holes are in the iron band only- the paperclip stopped at the wood. Antique Woodenware Primitive Pine Cutlery Silverware Tray Open Box Heart Handle
Up for sale is a vintage antique pine wood divided cutlery silverware tote or tray recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good used condition and measures approximately 10 1/2" x 6 3/48 x 2 1/8" in size. There is a nice finger hold, with a heart shaped handle. It features the patina and staining one would expect from such a piece. Often used for cutlery or silverware, these are very useful and can be repurposed for many different ideas. My favorite is to house remotes for the TV or stereo. The only condition issue to discuss is that the bottom board is a bit wrapped and there are a few minor splits by the nails. This large piece was once a mattress cover and dates c1850, or perhaps that little bit earlier! This piece is enormous and is a woven linen ticking ~ red stripes, with cream and that gorgeous faded flax! I ADORE this piece. This fabric is a heavy weight, with wonderful body and texture. It has many many hand stitched darns, small holes, marks and there is a hand stitched seam that runs near the middle of this lovely large piece. 3 Hand Wrought Large Antique 17th 18th C Primitive Iron Skeleton Lock Keys
3 1/8" 4 1/8" 4 1/8" 3 nice individual examples of hand forged keys dating from the mid to late 18th century. Circa 1740-1780. Each key has been expertly formed by a period smith with some nice variation to each. Making all examples slightly unique in there own. Large format keys such as this were commonly paired with large door and gate locks. Many associate them with the large box locks used on heavy scale jailer locks of the period. As mentioned there is some slight variation of the design of each(see photographs) Some slight rust from age but overall each is solid. This over sized examples make for perfect items for the iron or key collector. The trio is offered for a period of one week with no reserve. Please see all the images for condition and specifics. This is a vintage pottery flower frog. Quite primitive with chips and dings all over it. Embossed with the words MADE IN JAPAN on the underside. It looks like it was never actually used for it's intentional purpose. No doubt they thought it was a pen holder as this was what was sticking out of it at the estate liquidation and marked Pen Holder(the person holding the sale was not, how do we say it, the sharpest blade on the knife rack) The flower frog measures 3 1/2 inches across the bottom and 1 1/4 inches in height with 11 stem holes in it. Primitive Antique Heavy Brass Door Knocker I had the wonderful opportunity to meet and shop with another ebayer seller from out of town recently- a real catfish moment. Because we’ve talked for years, but never met! No surprises, just all fun and did we shop until we dropped! I have lots of very cool items for you that I will be listing all week. Enjoy! Oh. This one has character to share! The person that I purchased it from told me it was thought to date back to the 1800s and by the looks of it, I don't doubt that. It's a solid brass door knocker that is oh-so-wonderfully primitive. You wouldn't know it's brass except for some very small peaks, and I did make a small scratch on the back side to check. You can see that the knocker has had several generations(lots peeling and chipping) of paint- I see(or think I do, it's ... morehard to tell for sure) brown, black, green(hard to tell if that's old paint, or oxidation- see what you think in my photos) and silver- that you can clearly see from the backside. At first, I though because of the weight that it might be bronze- it weighs 1 1/4 lbs, but I see a brass, not a copper color in the scratch that I made. It measures 6" by 4 1/4" by 1 1/4" deep and is in excellent solid and sturdy condition. There hardware attaching the knocker is rusty, so you have to push just a little to make it knock(not a lot, just a little) and the knocker is very dirty and needs a good bath. Mid 19th Century primitive South East Pennsylvania spongeware bowl measuring 5 7/8" dia x 3 1/4" ht. There is an old 1 1/2" tight line on the inside of the bowl. However it does not show on the outside surface of the bowl( see last two pics) Some small wear specks on the inside basin but that's it. A real nice hand painted band of stems-flower pattern surrounding the reddish sponge design, on this early surviving pottery bowl, found in the same Lancaster, Pa estate which I have been listing items from for over 1 year!

The box is in excellent solid and sturdy condition. You can see that it has a white white painted finish that is shabby and worn- mostly on the edges and high relief where you can see it's worn down to the wood. The back of the box is not painted, as it would have been butting up to the back of the dresser. You can see that the paint shows dirt- especially on the top, where there's multiple grey spots of it- I have not tried to clean it in any way- they are light. What else can I tell you? Antique Primitive Painted Round Wood Pantry Box
This is an antique original painted pantry box. It looks to have mustard paint over green. It has square nails around rim and base. It measures 6 1/2" in dia. and is 2 5/8" tall and has some weight to it. I had just oiled it with some of my other pantry boxes that's why the bottom and inside look so bright. My house is very dry in the winter so I like to keep my primitives oiled for their protection. It is in very nice condition. There is one line crack 1/4" down from the rim running vertical so it isn't seen under the lid. It isn't really noticeable with the lid off but felt I should mention it. A very nice primitive for any primitive collection. Please see my other items as I have just acquired some nice primitives such as 2 early pastry boards. This is an unmarked Colonial Williamsburg early vintage manufacture reproduction Slipware Combed Pottery Trencher Dish imitating the folk pottery made in the18th c for use in the buttery. Pantry, early fireplace kitchen area in countryside where carriages and commerce did not bring refined tablewares to homes in the Rev War days. I bought it along with similar matching articles and can only surmise this early piece failed to receive the oval backstamp after production when quality control didn't matter, and I would not insinuate or connect this origin, unless I was really sure. Please study the pictures taken ouside innatural sunlight to see folky primitive details of this hand thrown piece. Trencher with scooped sides measures 5.5" x 7.5" with inner glaze a rich mustard color and combware brown graining like ... morea Napolean dessert cake! Edges are half glazed coggle crimped. And rear has been darkened with dry overglaze not shiny. A pool of slip(liquid clay) has formed in firing at the bottom of this piece resulting in a darkened area that looks like maple syrup! Just charming, folky, quirky, hand made, very realistic.nothing in the 18th c for utilitarian use, was quite perfect, given rudimentary process involved. It measures 12" long x 6-3/4" wide x 7-1/4" tall. It features the typical poplar wood color variations. Half moon cut-out legs that are mortised through the top, traces of green and red paint, construction with square and round nails, and double 1-1/2" deep aprons. This old stool shows wear in all the right places including missing slivers of wood and tight separations. But remains in very good structural condition.
