Hello Friends, I just finished this sweet Prim Pin Cushion Pinkeep/Needlekeep for your consideration. The bird and its tuffet are made of 100% Vintage Wool. The bird is tan with accents wings. Of herringbone wine colored wool with hand stitching all around. Violet bead eyes are attached. With tan DMC thread. The Tuffet is coordinated with the bird's wings-the wool herringbone. In wine color. It is"scalloped" with DMC thread. Tightly secured and antique buttons(top and bottom. Of tuffet) create the indented area for the bird to"nest" in and for the tuffet to sit flat. ANTIQUE 19TH CENTURY HEAVY FORGED STEEL & COPPER HERB CHOPPER PRIMITIVE SCRAPER
Here we have a really wonderful 19th Century forged steel& copper herb or food chopper with a rich patina. This primitive chopper measures 6 1/2" tall. The handle is 4 7/16" wide and the blade is 5 1/2" wide. It weighs 1 pound and 2 ounces. It was probably Artisan or blacksmith made and retains its original rich deep patina. This 19th Century chopper was hand crafted from one piece of forged steel and two pieces of heavy copper. The forged blade runs the length of the chopper with the copper being wrought and riveted into the handle. There is age appropriate evidence of use and some tool marks on the end where another utensil made contact with this chopper. Great for that Farmhouse Kitchen or Pantry! I upcycled this Vintage 1/2 rolling pin wall decor by adding some black and tan ticking with a prim label. It was printed directly on muslin and then tea dyed and primmed to perfection. I used small cross stitches in black for a nice contrast. The handles have been painted black ... moreand then distressed. There is a saw tooth hanger in the back and a small hole in each handle. You could hang it either way. You could also add cup hooks to the handles and hang your prim towel.Utensils or other goodies from them. Lots of possibilities! It is 18" long and 2.5" wide. ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE 5 DRAWER APOTHECARY/ FILE/ SPICE CABINET* Up for auction is adorable little 5 drawer spice cabinet/ set of drawers. It's a nice soft Primitive item. The drawers have little porcelain drawer pulls that are white. The pulls are chipped and cracked as you can see in the pictures. The screws that hold the knobs are a little rusty too. The cabinet is a cute size and measures 13.25" W x 5.25" D" w/o knobs) x 7.75" H and it weighs 6.25 lbs. We're not sure of the age of this cabinet or what kind of wood it is. It looks like all original to us. It has some chips. Cracks, scratches, edge wear, warps and nicks as is expected for an item of this age. There's some leftover paint here and there and the back left corner is warped and lifting up as you can see in one of the last pictures(in other words the ... moretop is warped and it doesn't show that well in the pictures) It's a very interesting piece and just the way we like it! The drawers are all about 1.25" H inside. The top drawer is 11" W x 4.25" D x 1.25" H. The smaller drawers are 3" W x 4.25" D x 1.25" H. Measuring 13" long x 9-3/4" wide x 4-1/4" tall to the top of the center handle. This old box features two compartments, nice lap joints at the corners, slanted sides and a thick base. And I’m going to sneak out to a barn sale today- so wish me luck, I’m sure it will be a cccchhhilllling experience at minimum! I’ve got lots of primitives this week for you- antique and charming, as well as advertising, artwork, material- there’s something for everyone! O.K. I was attracted to the gorgeous worn mustard yellow finish on this old wood tool- was told a name for it.and was half listening, as I was totally caught up in admiring this old piece. I know it had to do with an organ- and a kind ebayer helped me out to email me that it's a stopper to an old wood organ pipe- see his comments below at the bottom of the listing. It is made of solid wood, with a handle, and a rectangular wood piece on the other end ... morewhich is covered with a very soft, but very worn, and in some spots very dirty, tan kidskin. It measures 6 1/2" tall in total, with the rectangular end being 4" by 3" It weighs just under 1/2 lb. The patina is killer- worn down to the wood in some spots, and black at the very top of the handle. The kidskin is very worn- see my photos- especially on the sides- more so than the flat end. You can see soil to almost black on the sides too. It's in excellent solid and sturdy condition, though- the handle is very strong. Actually, I really didn't and don't care what it is.because it has the LOOK and the age, and I bet you don't have one! Please ask if you have any questions. It was filled with old spools of thread. sturdy- well made- no breaks or crushes in the basket itself the leather clasp is broken- other than that it is in good condition The size is: 11" from base to handle 10" long without flaps open 8" wide If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask!

Early primitive cast iron hog boiler with#9 and casting mark on bottom. No other marks. If some one can identify this I would love the help. No cracks chips or warps excellent shape. These were used on fires for hog butchering cooking and rendering lard. I have only found two hog boilers in all these years and never a footed one. Handles 11Dx13.5Wx27.5L Rounded bottom. Useable for outside cooking over fire. Also would make a great kindle holder for wood for the cookstove or fireplace. thanks for looking.
