I am re-listing this piece as the winning bidder wished to string it on a necklace for her to wear. Please be advised that when the piece was made the ... moresuspension holes were placed midways down the back(as can be seen in the pic) therefore it will NOT hang down vertically. This piece needs to be displayed for what it is, an outstanding piece of Pre-Columbian art. Not the biggest, but one of the most colorful Pre-Columbian Mixtec culture penates I have encountered. A really beautiful pale blue/green jade that I have seen some Olmec pieces also made of. This penate measures just under 1& 3/8" and is ex. Arte Primitivo and guaranteed 100% authentic. Pre-Columbian Mexico AZTEC ALIEN-LIKE Clay Figure Head !
SquareTrade © AP6.0 Here's a very odd Pre-Columbian AZTEC TEOTIHUACAN"ALIEN-LIKE" HUMAN? FIGURE HEAD(ca. 700-1100 AD) from near the famous Teotihuacan Pyramids in Mexico's Central Highlands. It's 1 5/8 in. 4.2cm) high. 1 5/8 in. 4.2cm) wide and 3/4 in. 2.0cm) thick. It has oddly defined features which look much like those of the alien creatures often associated with the so-called flying saucer crash in"Area 51" in Nevada many years ago. Is it possible aliens from another world visited the Aztecs many years ago? Not likely, but I must admit this is one of the strangest clay figure heads I've handled in the past 60 years! I'll let the buyer be the judge. These heads were once on full human clay figures but were broken off and cast into the fields to ensure crop fertility. It's made of fired reddish/tan ... moreclay and in fair condition. My Feedback Profile and eBay preferred seller reputation attest to my integrity and honesty. The authenticity of my artifacts and relics is guaranteed for life, OR YOUR MONEY BACK! Buyer pays $3.00 S/H. Shipping charges to foreign buyers may be greater. No reserve. Good luck!

Mayan Circle of Friends Clay Candle Holder, 4 Pre-Columbian Friends
The Item pictured is the one you will receive Figure is roughly 7 inches wide and 7 inches tall This Clay figure of"Circle of Friends" has 4 Mayan figures arm in arm in a circle around a base for a candle. This very rustic and primitive Mexican pottery suitable for indoors and outdoors. The shade of the clay can vary from piece to piece. With muted shades of tan, brown, green, blue, and all combinations thereof. These Circle of Friends are hand made and formed from Clay in a very primitive way in Mexico. This is an art form that is considered to be Pre-Colombian. The"Friends" the figures have an Aztec Indian type look, that dates back to before the Spanish came to what is now South America. Each of the Circle of Friends are wrapped arm in arm in a circle. In the middle of them is a place for a candle to be inserted and ... morelit. The Indian Legend says that at then end of the evening, friends would gather around the fire and share their hearts. They would each speak of the good qualities of others. It was said that if they shared memories while the embers faded, their friendship was sealed, bringing them closer together. As you sit with a candle in the middle of your Circle of Friends, it will surround and embrace all of those who sit with you and bring you all good luck"

Scarce Pre-World's Columbian Exposition Adv Booklet, Brownies (Merchant & Co.)
Scarce Pre-World's Columbian Exposition Adv Booklet. Brownies(Merchant& Co. Merchant and Company. Manufacturers of roofing materials, had this 40 page, illustrated booklet prepared in advance of the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893, at which it exhibited its products. It was used as a sales piece, aided by the Brownies and a cast of other characters, or visitors, from all over the workd, all dedicated to informing the reader about Merchant and Company. The amusing illustrations are found throughout the booklet, which begins with a greeting from the company, dated January 1, 1892. There are twenty-two full page illustrations. The theme throughout is business, the backdrops including scenes from the forthcoming expo. Since Merchant made roof tiles, a number of illustrations are on roofs, or show roofs. The company ... morealso made ventilators, and these are shown as well. Merchant also trades in metals, so, of course, these are integrated into some scenes, as are items made from various metals. An advertising marvel of the day. Condition: covers soiled, with stains, minor creases on front cover, more moderate creasing on back. Cloth back strip soiled. There are two pages that are marred by a child's scribblings, in ink(we shown one) Another page has three short lines in red pencil. The original sewn binding is a bit loose, noticeable by a 1/4" separation between pages just before and after the book's center. Here and there are smudges, minor soiling, minor stain spots. There i2 1/2"margin tears. Otherwise good throughout. 5 1/4" X 8" My Policies: NOTES: Import duties. Taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. Splendid Antique Pre-Columbian Stone Carved Sculpture of a Head
EUREKA ANTWERP ANTIQUES Beautiful antique pre-Columbian stone carved sculpture depicting the head of a man. Worrier. I don’t know very well how old the piece is because I do not know much or almost nothing about pre-Columbian art. What I know is what I found on the net. So I’m not a big specialist in this kind of pieces, but collectors will see what this is. This piece is coming from an old estate. This piece is in the condition as depicted. This sculpture is about almost 4 ¼” 11cm) tall. Take a look at the pictures these will tell much more than my description. I also do not know the value of this piece, so if my start is to low no problem it will go, if to high I will get reactions I hope. Important information to bidders! I have received more than one e-mail from eBay winners stating that the items which they have purchased from my ... moreauctions are much more beautiful in real life than depicted in the pictures. The set is complete with board, and comes in the original box which tells, on the cover, the discovery history of each piece. The set is an exact replica except that the originals in the museum were carved of serpentine and quartzite. It is hard to say what these are carved of. They are not plastic. Maybe resin. Someone suggested vegetable ivory which was then dyed. I don't know but it is solid and heavy. The chess board is only cardboard and has suffered a separation of the spine which ... morewas then taped over at the back. The box is somewhat bumped and bruised. Tape holding the corners together and a scattering of stains here and there. The chess pieces are complete and in excellent undamaged shape. Bottoms are felt covered. AUTHENTIC CHIMU STIRRUP VESSEL moche inca chavin nazca pre-Columbian pottery
This auction is for an authentic Chimu stirrup vessel from about 1400 AD. Measuring 5.5 inches wide x 8.5 inches tall. This vessel has a burnished surface and is in the form of two mated seabirds at rest with their bills laid aside one another. But with a slight gap between the two. It is truly a work of art. The vessel is in excellent condition without repair or restoration of any sort. The long bills would seem to function as levers multiplying any applied forces. But they appear to have survived intact. R&D documentation and a written lifetime guarantee of authenticity will be provided to the buyer. Item will be shipped by insured USPS priority mail to US locations only. Please feel free to get in touch with any questions and thanks for taking the time to look at my listing. The top of the canteen is painted black with rayed eyes and the neck has a chevron design. The lugs are intact. Although I regard this as Huari. There is a chance that this is very late Nazca. If you take a look at p 48 of Proulx's book, A Sourcebook of Nazca Iconography, you will find a description of late phase Nazca items that fits the designs and finish on this canteen. However, the shape of the canteen is unlike other Nazca canteens I have seen. Vintage Peruvian Chancay Burial Cloth Doll, Mother Baby, Pre-Columbian Textile
Vintage Peruvian Chancay Burial Doll w Pre-Columbian Textile Fragments Up for your consideration is this absolutely wonderful vintage Peruvian doll with Pre-Columbian textile fragments. There is a wonderful write up concerning these dolls at this website: This doll is large at 19" tall. It is a mother holding a child, she is wearing a variety of textile fabrics mostly striped, she has sewn features as does the baby, the core of the doll is possibly corn husk or dried vegetation in some fashion, she has two arms wrapped in red cotton yarn one is holding the baby and the other is hanging down the side, she has multiple layers of the cloth to form her skirt with the outer layer in stripe, the next layer is darker with a stripe and the under layer is a blue and white stripe(see pic 11 which shows the first layer lifted up and the second ... morelayer which had an opening to see the third) there is a layer on the top which has the appearance of an apron(see pic 12) and has a shape in the details, the baby has a beautiful blue and tan fabric, the heads of both are covered in fine gauze weave at the forehead to the back of the head, strands come down the sides in braids, she measures about 19" tall. I am uncertain of the age but from the website it seems she is probably from around the 1950's but the fabrics are very early and the website tells of the process of finding these fabric from ancients sites in Peru. They are truly wonderful. Sold As IS I will combine shipping!
