 Pre-Columbian Pendant/Old Trade Beads, Arizona
I am listing an ethnic design necklace that I created. Made with a Pre-Columbian pendant strung on old trade beads which I was told were collected by a miner in a southeast area of Arizona where an ancient Indian trade center once stood. Pendant is ceramic/terracotta. Was legally collected and sold, and I was told from the Nayarit/Jalisco/Western area of Mexican Pre-Columbian culture. Size: pendant 2" L, necklace 22 around" Sterling clasp. Please watch my site for other necklaces I will be listing. That I have designed with vintage, Pre-Columbian, gemstone, and trade beads, strung with ethnic and antique pendants, those of my own design and castings, old fishing lures, and other funky, fun and interesting things I find on my flea market adventures. Authentic Pre-columbian Lambayaque/Sican orangeware Lord vessel
Here is an impressive example of a Pre-Columbian Lambayaque/Sican culture of Peru orangeware lord vessel. This piece measures 8& 3/8" high. I will be out of town when the auction ends, and will mail out the package to the winning bidder on Monday July8th.
Superb Pre-Columbian Chorrera stamp seal/sello
This listing is for the best Pre-Columbian stamp seal I have ever owned. I obtained this one in a collection of a local collector who had a penchant for stamp seals. He had 10 in his Pre-Columbian collection and this was the best. This piece has a lot going for it. Most importantly the iconography. The stamp seal contains 3 panels, each showing a stylized pregnant female in the birthing position.very rare to find depictions like that. I could see this stamp being used for a Pre-Columbian version of our baby shower or birth celebration. Also quite unusual, the handle is a rattle too(not very loud today though) From the Chorrera culture of Ecuador, it is intact save a chip on top front. Also has correct patination, manganese deposits and remnants of ancient pigment, all great indicators of it's authenticity. Honestly, I kinda hate to see ... moreit go, it's really a great piece, if it doesn't sell it's going back in my collection. Thanks for looking, and check out my other auctions for more quality and authentic Pre-Columbian items. o`7.RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fuk%601d72f%2B6mwimiu%3Eo%607-13f91fdb815-0xf5-

A PRE-COLUMBIAN TAIRONA VASE 1000 - 1500 AD - Museum Quality
A Pre Columbian Tairona Pottery Vase 1000- 1500 AD An unusually large blackware vase. The black slip is nicely burnished Beautiful in its pure simplicity. Fine Patina- Museum Quality Condition: Very Good 10 1/2" height The Tairona ceramic chronologies range from 200 BCE to 1650 CE. And the Caribbean coast of Colombia has evidence of ceramics from at least 2500 BCE. Recent investigations in Chengue, Parque Tairona by the Colombian archaeologist Alejandro Dever show significant variations in the ceramic that allow for a chronological division of sequence into at least five phases. The first phase, called Nahuange 1, appears to start at around 200 BCE and ends at around 500 CE when there appears to be a peak in the population. A second phase spans from 500 CE to about 900 CE; it can be called Nehuange 2, and was called Buritaca after detailed ... moreexcavations by Jack Wynn in the 1970s. From c. 900 CE began what is commonly called the Tairona period, characterized by an impressive increase in the variation, size and number of ceramic forms, many conserving the styles from the Nehuange or Buritaca phases. The Tairona 1 through 3 phases, from 900 to 1650, show significant local variations. This was shown by numerous works done in the 1980s by Colombian archaeologists Augusto Oyuela, Carl Langebaek, Luisa Fernanda Herrera and Ana Maria Groot, and others. During the Tairona period, the evidence for exchange increases as does the population of the entire region. The causes for this population increase are not fully known but what is evident is the robust local exchange networks that emerge at this time. GOOD LUCK AT THE AUCTION! Ancient Pre-Columbian Figure Statue or Later Repro? Estate Auction Find
Recently acquired at a Bucks County PA estate auction is an interesting hand carved stone figure. The estate had other artifacts that appeared said to be made by North American Indian(probably eastern PA) Not certain as to its age or where it is from. My uneducated guess is that it is from central or South America. About 4 lbs and 7 1/4 inches long Figural carving is of a man that is holding cistern which has a similar man's face carved in it. Again I'm not certain what. If anything, that this signifies or not. Or to the dating of this item. So my opinion is that this is a later reproduction. You be the judge. Any educated/ qualifying opinion would be greatly appreciated. Posted with

pre columbian Chimu double head face trophy stirrup vessel with TL test!!!
Very rare stirrup vessel with two heads. The faces look similar, but not identical. Vessels always double press of the duality of two opposites or can be twins. The proportions of the facial features are not implemented here, of course. The craftsman wanted to pass on the information. Abnormalities were among the ancient cultures often beauty ideals, see also head deformities. Heads as grave goods are usually but trophy heads as a trophy was something very special. Pre Columbian Mexico Pre Classic Olmec Jade CELT
Pre Columbian Mexico Pre Classic Olmec Jade CELT Amazing large Pre Columbian celt This piece is unique since it has a very comfortable shape for the hand to grasp it. There is a rounded end and immediately below a depression that is perfectly ergonomic. An expert in Pre Columbian artifacts mentioned o us that he had never seen one that has the depression for the rope to attach this as an ax on a handle. I believe this depression is to fit comfortably onto a hand and prevent the tool from slipping off. The photos do not depict it clearly but it is smooth on the working end. The stone is light green possibly from the Guerrero area and may possibly be Mezcala. Shows age and mineral deposits. Plant forms, perhaps maize or pacae leaves lie around the neck. This piece was once thought to be a product of the Patavilca. However similar shaped vessels with designs of this type have been excavated in the Moche River Valley and are now known to date to the Middle Chimu period. The Chimú are perhaps best known for their distinctive black glazed pottery. Strongly influenced by their predecessors, the Moche. Celt/Scraper, Caddoan Indian, Pre Columbian Artifact, Very Rare Left Handed Find
Provenance: This beautiful deep blue celt. Was found by my 14 year old son about 1:00 pm on 6/14/13. I believe it to be a Caddoan Indian artifact, since we live in the Saline river valley, the middle fork, near Jessieville, Arkansas. This implement, is one of the finest examples of a weighted hide scraper thatI have ever seen, anywhere. It is also one of the sharpest, I have ever touched. The celt is eight& 7/8's inches long and weighs 13.5 ounces. A sharp and hefty tool for skinning whitetail deer. We have found many artifacts here, because the Saline river runs through our farm. ThisHardstone celt, fits perfectly in your left hand due to the offset twist you see in the main photo. The only flaw, is a one thumbnail sized chip out of theright side on the wide end. This is a museum quality piece, for cutting flesh. COA with purchase, ... moreFree insured shipping.

Classic Tapered Mayan Jade Celt Pre Columbian Jadeite Adze Nearly 8 Inches
Mayan Ceremonial Celt Classic Period: 550- 950 AD Dimension: 7 7/8" 19.9 cm) by 2 1/4" 5.5 cm) by 1 1/32" 2.6 cm) Material: Semi translucent light green aventurine Provenance: Tabasco. Mexico This is a very classic Mayan ceremonial celt of a quality seldom offered. Most celts of this size and material do not surface on the market unless at an upscale Gallery or high end Estate auction. This piece is fully polished overall. Except for the poll, which is classic Mayan style. There is one ancient chip on the corner of the bit, which has the same mineral deposits and age as the rest of the celt. It is made of a"social jade" aventurine, which glitters in the light like small diamonds. The stone is a very light, mint green, with a couple of darker green veins at the bit, all typical traits of aventurine. It is slightly ... moretranslucent at the bit. This celt very symmetrical and very well made. The choice of material and the workmanship both signify this was a very important celt during its time. And just as important today. It has a very pleasing gradual taper from the bit(2 1/4" to the poll(1 1/8" The polish is satin smooth to the touch. It is truly a great celt! If not for the ancient chip on the bit, this would easily be a $3000 artifact. As always, this piece is absolutely guaranteed(money back) to be ancient and authentic as described. Buyer pays shipping($15.00, which covers Medium Flat Rate US Priority Mail in the US and insurance. Actual shipping costs elsewhere.
