A beautiful authentic antique primitive set of Pantry Boxes for Dry grain measure. All three made in Wilton. New Hampshire. The largest measuring approx. 9" by 5-1/4" Marked by E.B. Frye Manufacturer& Sealer. Then the middle sized one measuring approx. 7-1/4" by 4-1/4" marked by Daniel Cragin Manufacturer& Sealer& the smallest one measuring approx. 6" by 3-1/2" marked by Daniel Cragin Manufacturer& Sealer. Daniel Cragin started the business in 1858 in 1878 he started making these measures. In 1909 he sold the mill to E.B. Frye and his son. Which is when they switched the name to theirs. Each piece is Shaker style solid oak. Which was bent amazingly into a full circle with a precise size for measuring accurately. Then with a portion of the wood edge overlapped it was tacked in place with a line of nails. Then a circular insert added in the bottom. They are amazing pieces of Art in my opinion. Beautiful authentic primitives with an original satin patina finish. See condition below. Being sold without reserve& a $9.99 start. Have fun bidding. Condition: They are in amazing condition for there age. The smallest has a small tight crack by one of the nails in the overlapping edge as well as a tiny split to the top edge corner at the outside edge where the top nail is. And a very tight split in the bottom piece. The other two have very small splits near the nail heads to the edge of the wood. Al are structurally sound and solid. 1950's Art Deco Kitchen Dish Cabinet, Pantry, Cubboard, No Reserve
You are bidding on an unusual 1950's what I call a dish cabinet. They went along with the white kitchen cabinets with the enamel tops that usually had red trim along the edge. These dish cabinets are more scarse than the painted kitchen cabinets. This one is a top of the line example. It is made better than most. It has paneled doors and lots of them don't. It has a bread drawer on the right side in the middle which I don't remember on most cabinets either. It has fancy glass on the top two doors to display your fire king dishes. It has two shelves and the bottom makes another shelf for glassware display. The thing that makes this cabinet most unusual is the chrome looking pieces on the top. Between the top two doors, and it is even on the edges of the shelves inside the cabinet. My husband says this trim looks like the stainless ... moresteel or chrome found on 1950's cars such as the 1957 chevy. It also has two small drawers on the left side middle for silverware, ect. and two blind doors on the bottom with very faint stencilling. There is coke-a-cola red trim on the bottom and in the back of the top of the glass part of the cabinet. This is a very versatile piece of furniture. It could naturally be used in the kitchen or dining room but it would be great in a bathroom as a linen closet. Antique Signed Tony Sarg Nantucket 7 5/8" Wooden Pantry Box Horse & Buggy Label
Fresh from a fabulous estate comes this 7 5/8" in diameter 3 1/2" tall signed Tony Sarg pantry box with original paper label on the back. Tony Sarg(1880-1942) is a noted late 19th early 20th century illustrator. Probably best known for his marionettes and for his cartoons in New York Life. His wife sold these lithographed pantry boxes in her gift shop on Nantucket Island. This piece depicts an a couple in a two-wheeled buggy. It does have some loss to the paper decoration on the lid as shown in the next to last photo. Also on the top of the lid there is some lifting and a tight tear with a small bit off loss seen just over the harness on the horse's back. The painted inside is more of an orange-red on the lid than the deeper red in the box. Priced accordingly. Just Google him and you'll see that these boxes go in the $300-$400 ... morerange. The door is made of solid heartpine and has 3 raised panels. Please note that heartpine is the non-living. Core of a pine tree, and not the soft, outer, living sap-wood. Since it takes 30 years for a pine tree just to develop just 1” of heart stock it is rarer. Harder, more durable, more insect& rot resistant, less susceptible to warping and twisting, and is much more valuable than the cheap, pine lumber that is commonly found at most hardware stores. Hardware: Although the photos show some hardware installed; the door doesn't come equipped with any hardware. However. This is a very early 19th century Shaker style oval pantry box in its original untouched brown stained finish surfaces. It is stamped on the top CC& Co STANDARD FIG. It has a single finger on the lid and another on the bottom. The fingers are nicely made held in with the original copper tacks. The inside is rough as is typical for these early boxes. It measures 2 1/8" wide by 3 1/2" long. The box has the original finish and nice patina. It has slight wear for its age and is in excellent condition. A nice addition to any growing collection! Vintage Large Original Soda Fountain Pop Pantry Coca Cola Sign Approx. 13 x 4 FT
Taken of the wall on 11-21-2013. This is actually 3 different signs put together to form one awsome one of a kind treasure. The 2 Coca Cola Signs measure 44x44 each and are factory painted with a durable enamel over a very thick metal. There is some screw holes and a few minor scratches on these(See Photographs) but they are stunning! The middle panel measures 66"x44" and the original sign has been painted over. The painter used the right paint cause their is no flaking. There are 4 screw holes in it and one spot along side slightly buckled but it is an easy fix and doesnt effect the integrity of the sign. I had to cut the top and bottom wood supports and seperate them to get these beauties home cause combined they were bigger than my car. I will deliver anywhere in the lower 48 States for.50 cents a mile one way. Thank you.

We have had a large amount of these models donated from a collector and so are unable to do an individual write up each individual piece, but all the models we have are in excellent condition, in their original packaging, with the larger pieces in shaped polystyrene protective packaging, and all with their deeds, signed by the artist who painted the piece. ANTIQUE ROUND SHAKER-STYLE WOODEN BOX This is a beautiful smallish example of what appears to be a genuine antique. It measures just over 6-1/2" wide& about 3" high. These boxes are being reproduced in modern versions. And often with excellent craft right down to the tapered edges on the fingers of the bentwood sides. But the old ones are different. For they are made of the Old Growth wood, which is a material that is virtually extinct. Those interested in old wooden artifacts admire first the wood that these lovely old things were handmade from. The old growth forests have virtually all been cleared. Logged off& destroyed. The trees that grew up in their wake have a very different character to the wood, the most obvious being the density of the growth rings. The old forests were dense and ancient, and the trees grew very ... moreslowly under the canopy of the giants that towered overhead. As a result the annular growth rings tend to be very close together. So one defining characteristic of wooden pieces that were made in the colonial era, or on the frontier, or in the early era of our region, is often the density and beauty of the tight growth rings in the wood. I count 46 growth rings in the bentwood side-hoop of this box. And that's in just over 2-1/2" Hardwoods(in this case looks like it might be ash) routinely grow several feet across, so one can imagine the tree that this was sliced from easily was 250-350 years old, and possibly older. The softwood bottom has about 72 growth rings in just under 5" The top& bottom look like white pine, which were the largest conifers in the Eastern Woodlands. This old growth pine could get to be 4' across and 400 years old. The towering white pine that this box was cut from could have predated Columbus. In any case it's a sweet little box. Gorgeous aged patina to it, and it was assembled the old fashioned way with what looks like fine pegs and hand-made tiny iron nails. Definitely a choice and useful, special artifact. Check it out.Here's a very uncommon 5 1/2" wide by 8 1/2" tall bi-fold dessert menu from the 1960s Era Selinsgrove. Pennsylvania based"Dutch Pantry" family restaurant chain-The cute little item features a couple cartoon images of the little Dutch Boy mascot on front& inside and has menu selections/ prices inside& history& info on back- The item is in great condition with very little wear and would display so nicely-How many of these survived? Here's some history on the restaurant chain: An outgrowth of Lottie Kemberling's farm fresh foods. She and her son Jess M. Kembering opened their first Dutch Pantry Restaurant in 1945 along U.S 11 near Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Kemberling said that the name of her restaurant was derived from the Pennsylvania Dutch region with its German descendants and ... moretheir unique culture. More directly, the name Dutch Pantry referred to the notion that every Pennsylvania Dutch home contained a large pantry stocked with good food! Kemberling and her son gradually expanded the chain during the 1950s and 1960s. They opened additional units in Pennsylvania and then in Florida. They soon caught the franchising bug which allowed steady growth by the end of the 1960s. A standard restaurant design was settled upon with an image that reflected the food and atmosphere of the Pennsylvania Dutch country. The buildings, said to simulate colorful Pennsylvania Dutch barns, were facadism at its best.
