The table is 57 inches long, 29.5 inches deep and 30 inches high. Look at the base with carved legs that are 9 inches thick. It has carvings of berries, fluted, rosette flowers all over the legs, corbels and skirts. The table is finished in a dark oak stain finish that appears to be original. It shows minor wear marks for an item that is over 130 years old. It is a stout and sturdy table. It would make a great computer table, dining table, or desk. Very good overall condition, This elegant oak monks chair was crafted in England around 1900. Which places it at the close of the Victorian period and the beginning of the Edwardian period. The oak remains very beautiful, with a lovely patina and a distinct grain. Intricate carvings adorn the front, while the armrests feature turned columns. The most unique feature of this chair is the folding backrest, which drops down and slides forward to make this chair into a two-tiered side table. The seat also opens to reveal a small storage space, making this chair as useful as it is charming. The right armrest has developed a small separation in the wood, which is part of the natural aging process, and there are a few scuffs characteristic of an antique piece, but otherwise this chair remains quite attractive and sturdy. Overall condition is therefore very good. The sides look great. Shown here is the other side. Shown here is the back. The seat opens to reveal a convenient storage space. The oak displays a distinct grain. This seat remains as sturdy as it is elegant. With intricate carvings along the front. Offered today is this very rare Hoosier Breakfast Set. Oak drop-leaf table and four matching chairs. This table and chair set is from the late 1920's to early 1930's. I found an ad that was dated 1931 in the book"Hoosier Cabinets" By Philip Kennedy that is very similar. This is a genuine Hoosier brand. See picture with label on bottom of chair. The dimensions of the table are: 23" x 37" with the leaves down. And 42" x 37" with the leaves extended. The chairs are complete with no missing rungs or stretchers. However. J2919 This is a quarter sawn oak open bookcase circa 1910. These are really hard to find. Overall it is 16 inches deep. 22 inches wide across the front, and 437inches tall. The shelves are 16 inches deep and 18 inches wide in clearance. The clearance height between the shelves is 10 1/2 inches for the lowest shelf and 9 inches for the balance. It would make a great entertainment center. It is constructed of solid white oak and has been lovingly refinished in a warm medium oak finish by our refinishing shop to provide many more years of enjoyment. Constructed from solid oak this is a well made quality bookcase. The top has has a carved crest backsplash and allows for extra space for display or books. The two doors on the upper section are frosted and etched glass. The fronts have a beautiful fan design fretwork. These doors open to reveal more storage space. Below the double doors is a single glass door that has the original wavy glass and original hardware on it. There are an additional three shelves inside that are removeable. ~ Bookcase Made Of The Oak From HMS Foudroyant- Lord Horatio Nelsons Flagship 1799-1801 ~ This oak open revolving bookcase. Was manufactured from the oak and copper from HMS Foudroyant, Nelson's flagship from the 6th of June 1799 until the end of June 1801. The bookcase was produced by Goodall of Manchester. And bears an inscribed copper plaque to top stating its source using salved materials. The bookcase has 3 shelves and rotates on a spindle. ~ Dimensions ~ The piece has a height 29 inches(73.5cm) And measures 20.5 inches by 20.5 inches(52cm) ~ Condition ~ There is a crack to the top of the piece. Some of the boards are slightly worn by age, it revolves with a bit of play but the piece appears to be in otherwise good condition. ~ HMS Foudroyant ~ HMS Foudroyant was an 80-gun third rate of the Royal Navy. And although she was not involved in any major fleet action, she did provide invaluable service to numerous admirals throughout her 17 years on active service. In her last years she was used as a boy's training vessel. In June 1897 she was towed to Blackpool. On 16 June 1897 during a violent storm. She parted a cable and dragging the remaining anchor, went ashore on Blackpool Sands, damaging Blackpool North Pier in the process. The Blackpool lifeboat was able to rescue all 27 of her crew. After vain attempts to refloat her. Her guns were removed and she was sold for ₤200. She finally broke up in the December gales. Wood (oak?) finial for furniture, post, architectural salvage
This is a great piece of decoration that will make that added finishing touch on a piece of furniture or post. Maybe you need one like this to match another. Whatever the case. I think this finial is oak(but I am no expert) This piece stands 6 1/2" high and is 3 3/4" in diameter at the base. Antique Oak Arched Entry Door W Yale Hardware Brass Knocker Hinges Quarter Sawn This door came from a recent estate that we bought. I found it in the loft of a barn. The best I came up with was it was taken out of the house when it was remodeled in the early 70's. and stored in the barn. The original house was over 100 years old, I don't think the door is that old. I will have about 20 more old doors from the same loft listed eventually. All I did with the door was clean it off with some Murphy's soap, nothing else. The lock is marked Yale on the jam side of the door. If your looking at this then you probably know more about it than I do. So if you have questions please ask. The door is not perfect. It's old and has some character, there are a few scratches, dents etc. that I am sure can be restored with no problem by someone ... morethat knows what they are doing. I did have someone that works with wood look at the door and he told me it was quarter sawn Oak. In the Pictures I showed the measurements the best I could so you would have an idea of what you are working with. 2" thick 80" Tall 40" wide The shipping was a challenge. We are not use to shipping large items. I contacted a company that would should it from here in Peoria, Illinois for $400.00. So, that is the price we set. Description This is a nice piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. It is made of 1/4 sawn oak and is unpainted. The shelf is curved and is supported by 5 simple corbels. There is a heavy 1/2 round molding that follows the firebox opening. It measures just 58 inches wide. By 51.75 tall and is 11.25 inches deep at the shelf. The opening is 42.5 wide by 39 tall. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. The matel is a bit wobbly but will be fine once mounted. It originally had mounting boards at the sides but they are missing. There are chips on the lip of the shelf. The molding across the front of the corbels is missing.
