Spent 2 whole days taking photos and still not done– I have a LOT and I’ll be listing for weeks. There’s something for everyone- primitive antiques, ephemera, military, railroad, industrial, farm finds– you name it, I have it and it’s all unique– you’ll want to keep checking, as I will list every day. Enjoy! Wow. Is this one cool. It's a very old antique water bucket that is small barrel in shape, that I purchased at a farm sale in Ohio. This bucket is rustic to look at as it is(and veryveryvery barn fresh dirty) but let me tell you- it's as sturdy as the oak that it is made from. The bucket weighs a hefty 4 lbs, and that's a lot for its size- it measures 7 3/4" tall at the top, 7 3/16' diameter across the top and 6 3/16" diameter across the bottom. It has its three original iron bands, and they are well in place, as are the wood staves- there's no wiggle or jiggle with this one at all. If you look in photo 5, you can see an iron loop that's on one side- and there's another in the same spot on the opposite side. That's where the iron wire handle used to be- it's long gone, and you could replace it with your own if you wanted to, but I think it's just fine the way it is. On the center band, you can also see two holes in the iron, punched holes, one on one side of that band, and the other in the same spot on the other side(just like the handle loops) They are not beneath the handle loops, they are about 1" from them. They were made, so clearly had a purpose, I just have no idea what it was. I stuck the end of a paperclip inside, and it appears as if the two holes are in the iron band only- the paperclip stopped at the wood. Circa 1900 Mahogany Green leather inlaid steps Sturdy and strong Minor surface wear, Here is a very hard to find set of antique library steps. These steps were made in England sometime around 1900 and we have recently imported them into our Atlanta. GA antique furniture store. Library steps like this were designed to allow someone to reach the top shelves of the bookcases in their libraries. Some are simple but others like this one are more decorative and add elegance as well as utility to the room they inhabit. The wood used is solid mahogany and the stairs themselves are covered in a green leather with gold tooling. A mahogany pole is central to the steps allowing one a place to use their left hand to keep balance while perusing books with the right. This pole is topped with a decorative brass cap. These antique library steps are in very good condition. The only wear is some superficial surface wear to the stairs as you can see in the photos. Structurally the steps are sound. At 180 pounds I am able to climb to the top stair and feel very stable. This is a very unusual find and would make a really interesting addition to any room with tall bookcases. These antique library steps are sturdy and beautiful. The four stairs spiral around the balance pole. Here you can see some of the minor surface wear to each step. The mahogany feet are quite sturdy. Each step is covered in gorgeous green leather. A beautiful and interesting addition to any home or office. The turned mahogany balance pole is capped with a brass top. Have Questions? VINTAGE ANTIQUE 1800S RED& WHITE OAK LEAF APPLIQUE QUILT ~ no reserve to start a new paragraph use- This red and white cotton quilt is done in what I think is an Oak Leaf pattern. Each design is hand appliqued. Using a tiny blind stitch, onto a 15" block. This is a summer quilt with no batting and minimal quilting. The quilting is done only around the outer edge of each block. Hand quilted at 7 stitches per inch. Binding was formed by folding front to back and hand stitching. Size is 64" x 76"+/ There are scattered small stains and wear along the edge. Up for auction is a RARE ANTIQUE OAK SALESMAN'S SAMPLE Miniature EASTLAKE MIRRORED BUREAU/ DRESSER Circa 1870-1885. Includes antique oak ornate Eastlake style mirrored dresser with candle holders and lift up compartment on bureau. Ornate applied molding at top of fancy scrolled mirror frame. Mirror can tilt. Grid lines on drawer fronts are typical of Eastlake style of the late 19th century. Regarding wood color, it is a medium oak color(looks a bit more red/orange in the photos) Any dark areas are shadows and white areas are reflections. As you can see this is a wonderful piece and could be used in many places in a home, whether as a miniature Salesman's Sample or a doll bureau for dolls. Condition is very good, sturdy and clean, ... moreno odors, ready to go into your home. As with most antiques, it has it's minor flaws, nothing to totally distract from it's beauty, or usability, aged wood has such character. It does have some chips, dings, and marks, and one missing drawer pull. I chose to sell this item with the original pulls and it is your choice to replace them with 6 other pulls if you wish, or find a matching plain black knob. Seems to be original finish but I am not sure. Could be improved with restoration but again that is your choice. Drawers work fair, no sticking. Mirror is in very good condition and has wide bevel, might be new, and is missing the wooden backing. One peg missing underneath mirror outer frame but other three hold it in place fine. Mirror frame is attached to bureau with pegs that just slip into holes in the bureau ledge, and more brackets in back. All in all a fabulous miniature! Hard to find miniature Eastlake style. The Weiss(or Weis) insignia on the front is barely legible. The outside dimensions are: 5 1/2" high. 6 3/4" wide, 8 3/8" deep and the wood is 1/4" thick. Antique Oak 3 Drawer Dresser with Unique Grape Leaf Handles 1800's
This is a stunning antique Oak dresser I bought about 30 years ago and have treasured ever since. Solid Oak. It has very unique grape and leaf handles which I had never seen before nor since. The drawers are held together with the most unique dowel type system using no nails. Please see the pictures as I have tried to show every detail. Has some markings which come from being well over a hundred years old but nothing to detract from it's beauty. One of the rails on the bottom drawer underneath needs some gluing which I have not attempted. Still opens and closes perfectly. It measures 30" wide. By 28.5" high, by 15 3/4" deep. A vintage. Refinished, oak machinist chest with seven drawer interior and fall-front working surface. 12 Photos) The chest. 20" wide by 13 1/2" high and 9" deep, has all of the original hardware. Lo cks and handle.the clip locks are Excelsior and the fall front lock is Corbi n with the original keys. All of the interior dra wers are lined with qualit y green felt. Which may be the original.the felt it is in good shape, bright and has some minor spots in some of the drawers that probably could be removed. The leather handle is original with some repair. But in good, stable condition. The corner mo unts and clips are nickel plated and some of the plating has break through. But mos tly takes a good shine. The case has a wonderful. Hand-rubbed finish with excellent color with lots of depth. There is an old crack on the right top ... moreedge as well as an old wood repair on the left side of the case.both were left as is because I don't think they detract from the look at all. The main lock on the cover is quite unique and locks down for a tight fit. I'm told that these cases have many uses today.jewelry. Collections, fine tools, etc. and could be used for any of those purposes. The chest came from a wonderful, old gentleman that had been a master tool maker and this was his case that held his best specialty tools.he was pleased that another generation would be able to appreciate it. Antique Leather Topped Oak Stool
This is an Antique Adjustable Leather Top Oak Stool. The stool has cast iron hardware that as found has a light patina of rust. The seat swivels freely in a circle. If you hold the swivel piece and turn the seat you height of the stool can be adjusted. My estimate is that the total height adjustment in no more than about 2 or 3 inches. With the stool adjusted to the minimum height it is about 32" to the top of the domed leather seat cover. The stool appears to be quite old. But there is no maker's identification. We purchased it as an estate item and we were not able to find out the age, the maker, or where it was made. Condition: PLEASE NOTE: I recently learned that the stool also had a circular foot rest that. As found, is missing. As found. The leather seat is split and cracked as seen. The leather cover appears not the be the ... moreoriginal cover. When viewed from the bottom through the wooden frame and metalwork you can see the remnants of what is probably the original caned seat. Also as found. It appears that a number of repairs were made to the attachments of the center cross bracing to the legs. There are several unused holes, several attachments appear to be via wood screws, while another has a crude repair with a nut and bolt protruding from the hole. Despite these repairs, the stool sits solidly and it in good usable condition. There are also some scuffs and scrapes on the finish on the legs in a number of places. This is a very nice looking old stool. It is being offered as found/ as described/ as seen with respect to the condition issues noted above. PLEASE NOTE: The stool is being offered for local sale only. We are not willing to ship this large heavy piece. We would welcome a purchase by a buyer in the Seattle/ King County/ Puget Sound area. This is a northern red oak newel post top or it could be used as a finial. It is 5-31/32” tall. The small ball shape at the top is 1-7/8” in diameter. The fat part of the onion shape in the middle is 2-7/8” in diameter. The ring shape at the bottom is the same diameter. There is a hole drilled in the bottom that can be used for mounting. Antique Solid (Painted) Oak Wash Stand With Swivel Mirror
I get most of my items at estate auctions and sell them in an"as found" condition. I do no repairs. Alterations and very little cleaning. This is done in the belief that most buyers prefer to receive them as original as possible. Because the items I sell can come from anywhere. I can't guarantee they all come from smoke free environments. DESCRIPTION: Although the swivel mirror has obviously been a part of the wash stand for a very long time. I don't think it was originally a part of the piece. I'm not sure about that but most wash stands I've seen of this type simply have a towel bar where the mirror is located. The existing towel bar is original but the mirror was simply added to make the stand more functional as a dresser. Except for that and the paint the piece appears to be completely original with all of it's ... morehardwar and it still has it's original porcelain casters. It is solid oak but will need to be stripped to be beautiful again. It is about 30" in length, 15 1/4" in depth and about 29" in height. It is about 63 1/4" in height to the top of the mirror.
