Take a look at this magnificent piece! It’s a tiger sawn. Quarter sawn table– and I mean ALL over it– including the trunk, the legs, the claw feet, the rolled skirt and the top. It dates from 1900, in refinished condition. It has a split pedestal base with humongous claw feet and legs much, much bigger than normal, on a multi-turned fluted oversized column that splits in the middle, just like a Hastings, although I couldn’t find any manufacturer’s marking on this table. The table top is 54 inches round, with a rolled skirt, which means it isn’t flat but is concave, and really dresses up the table. The selection of veneer used on the top is the secret of this table’s beauty. It’s hard to duplicate this with solid wood, which is why they used lots of veneer back in those days. The veneer on this table top is in really nice condition, and there is only one spot you can see where there was a nick in a corner, which has been all repaired and is now fine. This table is all nice, tight and sturdy and ready for another 100 years of use, after being stripped, sanded, stained in a beautiful dark oak color that brings out the gorgeous grains, and then had multiple hand-rubbed coats of satin sheen lacquer applied for a durable finish that will last for years. This is a very unique(and adjustable) lamp and has"Hubbell" on the switch(see ... morepicture) This item stands about 7" tall without the shade or bulb and around 10" with bulb and shade(came with a 25 watt bulb which is not included) and weighs a bit under two pounds. To my surprise this lamp is adjustable in heigh t. The metal base unscrews to make this lamp go from 7" up to about 9 1/2" 12 1/2" with shade and bulb) This piece shows great patina throughout and is being left to next buyer as to how much cleaning is to be done. The wiring on this lamp is definitely older and may need to be redone. As you can see from one of the pictures it does(or at least did) work when I carefully and cautiously tested it! I cannot guarantee that it will continue to work without rewiring. That being said I am including pictures to show the plug and socket wires. Some fraying of the cloth cover is evident at both ends. I would rather err on the side of being cautious but the rest of the cord seems to be in fairly good shape. No tape jobs or cuts. The"HUBBELL" switch seems to turn nicely and has great on/ off clicks. The shade(which is non metallic) sort of snaps around the bulb. Pictures will show this mechanism on the inside of the shade. I am not sure of the age of this lamp. But I knew it was something different and unique when I saw and obtained it. Hopefully you will too and give it a good home. Signed, dated, stamped or otherwise labeled. There is a small dark stain to the table top that measures approx 4inches by 2 inches. A darker spot next to that as well but not sure what that spot is. Both can be seen in the last picture. There are no major chips. Cracks or other issues to any part of the wood. It is possible this is a Louis F Nonnast table made between 1878-1888. I do not know much about this size. Style or age. If you have any information that may be helpful to identifying this piece. I would very much appreciate dropping me a line or two. Local Pick Up is best for this large. Beautiful and well taken care of item. It worries me to ship it as I have seen very few table such as this. However. The way this is constructed, it appears it can be taken apart ~ legs removed and lower shelf removed, for possible shipping. Because of its size and weight. Used custom made solid oak(not plywood) four unit studio rack mount cabinet in very good condition. It does have some light scratches on the top but you have to use the right light angle to see them. It does have two dings on the top front center and right side center that might be visable with rack mount gear installed. This was used in a non-smoking. No pets, home project recording studio. Maryland that dates to the 1890's- early 1900's. It advertises on the top for"High Grade Fruit Cake" which was made by the Cheasapeake Baking Company at 2350-2352-2354 Oak Street in Baltimore, MD. Circular container has nice gold printing on a black color painted tin. There is also a nice Eagle graphic on the top of the tin that reads, For Dessert It Always Fills the Bill" trademark logo on it. Tin is in excellent condition overall for its' age with just some light wear present. It is not all dented up like many of these old tin containers are. I believe this to be the best quartersawn oak office filing cabinet piece I have ever offered for sale. Manufactured by Yawman& Erbe the two piece unit consists of 24 drawers and six doors. All drawers have full sides and backs and are fully functional. The doors have raised panels-please note the fancy detail work along the top of the unit. Original manufactures label-all pulls are brass and/or metal-drawer pulls have the Y& E insignia. Pristine condition would not be an exaggeration for this piece-smooth and even finish. Some measurements: top interior door spaces are 21 wide. 14.5 deep, and 13 high. The bottom door spaces(adjustable shelves) are each 21 wide, 23 deep, and 23 high. The drawers with the alphabet letters(original) on them are 9 wide, 13.5 deep, and 3.25 high. for sale is a very large quartersawn oak hall tree or hall bench with a mirror big enough to be called a pier mirror. it has very nice quartersawn flake throughout the entire piece. mirror is original and is beveled and shows a tiny big of silver loss and some smokiness. it has nice carvings at various places that can be seen. it has neat arms and arm supports that are very thick. Shaped, and has molding cuts. it has a large storage area under the seat. it is a very large hall tree, 88 inches tall, 16.5 inches deep, and 42 inches wide. all the carving is tight and intact, no missing pieces as far as i can tell. it is very solid and sturdy. it has not loose parts or pieces. it has a very nice contoured crest with a cut out in the center. the arm and arm supports are pegged into the hall tree. i hope the pictures are good enough to add to the ... moredescription. hall trees this size are not too plentiful and don't come up for sale often. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense. if shipped i would recommend an antique mover due to the large mirror and large size. good luck.

Offered for auction is this solid oak church pew project. You have two mid supports. The seating area and the hymnal rack, plus the old screws to put it back together. There are no original sides, so what you see is what you get. I can imagine someone forming some scroll sides, refinishing the whole piece and having a great bench. I don't have that capability. This is a superb 19thc Black Forest oak carved pediment with a fine figure of a running stag with orig amber glass eye to top of pediment. A most unusual and very decorative piece. The attention to carved detail on this pediment is excellent with all carving done in relief. Beneath running stag the pediment is carved as a long branch with oak leaves decorating. Dimensions: some 14.5" max height x length of some 32.5" This Black Forest pediment is in excellent age commensurate condition. This is an early 1900's Bissell"cyco" ball bearings sweeper. The oak case also says Grand Rapids. This is a rare find! The wheels and rollers and sweeper work great. The wood color is a fantastic oak color that would go with most decor. NOTE- since the handle is long and awkward. I plan to likely ship the handle separately. The shipping shown is for both packages- sweeper and the handle. Antique Dietzgen Drafting Architect Table University of Illinois Cast Iron Oak
Very Large and all original antique Dietzen(king of drafting tables) drafting or architect table- cast iron still has original paint from the early 1900's. this has a very old university of illinois inventory stencil on it with a 4 digit serial number. the solid oak wood on the base is in amazing shape with no cracks or bad spots. the original top with all original hardware is birds eye maple with a few ink spots but no bad spots that need refinishing. I have not tried to clean this at all. a refinisher told me simple rubbing alcohol will take the ink off, i got this for my kid but it is way to large for his room with the top measuring 3 by 5 foot. it stands 42 inches tall and can be adjusted down with the turn of a wheel to 33 inches. it can also swivel to an almost vertical position for painting or art projects or storing somewhere ... morewhen not in use. i will definitely allow local pick up but i will ship, it will be the buyers responsibility to set up shipping. it is quite large and im sure usps or ups will not take it-i saw where greyhound bus lines does shipping but you have to pick it up at one of their terminals for a couple hundred bucks or uship is a great service and could probably be arranged for a couple hundred dollars. im very easy to work with and will make this as effortless as possible for the buyer. if shipped i will wrap with bubble wrap and blankets for the shipment. i can also deliver within a reasonable distance for a fee of dollar a mile. very cool steampunk antique item that will hold its value and most likely increase over time. you will likely not find one of these especially in this great shape that has not been refinished. being all original and this great i think the value of this with being from the university of illinois and from the early 1900's i think the value of this is triple the starting amount.good luck bidding and ask any questions. thank you. i will only be listing this once more before taking it to the auction-its taking up alot of room

Original Oak from HMS Victory Lord Admiral Nelson
This is“An ORIGINAL Piece of Oak taken from HMS VICTORY“ This piece of oak on the certificate is approx 4.5 cm x 2.0 cm and 1-2 mm thick. The small thin size of the oak piece makes this ideal for framing. The piece sent will be similar in size to that in the photo. The piece has a small hole through the wood at one end. See photo. The nice Certificate which the oak piece is on, is 17.5 cm x 12.5 cm and say’s: An ORIGINAL Piece of Oak taken from HMS VICTORY“ The Flagship of Admiral Horatio Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar 21 st October 1805” The back of the Certificate has a unique item piece number. 05496, and a very brief few line history of HMS Victory. ARTS& CRAFTS STYLE/ MISSION OAK/ KEYED TENON BOOKCASE Up for sale is a handsome. Hand crafted Arts& Crafts style Mission Oak bookcase in the Stickley tradition. The unit is made of quartersawn white oak with a warm dark stain and hand rubbed finish. It has a solid wood ship lapped back and keyed through tenons on the top and bottom shelves. It measures 55 inches tall, 40 inches wide and 12 inches deep. The shelves are 10 3/4 inches deep. This is a hand made piece done in the Craftsman design made popular during the Art Nouveau/Mission era. No assembly line or automation involved. All materials are new.
