Great piece of Arts and Crafts furniture by Shop of the Crafters. Has a large middle door and 2 small side doors. Signed with partial early paper label on back shown in picture 11. It is large measuring 88" tall. 43" wide and 17" at its largest depth. It does come with a key. Issues: 1. At one pont this bookcase had been painted white. It has been refinished but you can see in photos there is still some small white paint residue inside it and in the inlaid parts, please refer to photos. 2. The very top of the bookcase has warped a little and cracked some shown in pictures 7& 8. 3. The very bottom right of the large door has a crack in the wood shown in picture 9. 4. The 2 bale pulls for the small side doors are missing but the large middle door has its bale pull. 5. The top right square is missing its small glass piece ... morebut I'm having one cut for it so will have a glass piece their when picked up. 6. It comes with one original shelf but the rest are not original to the bookcase. They were cut to fit this bookcase though shown in the last picture. Has other normal wear from age as well. Awesome NOS Set of 8 Eastlake or Mission ? Pocket Door Handles
Cool estate cellar find. While cleaning out an old local New England estate. We came across an old workbench with a dozen boxes stored underneath. One box had these door handles. A few were sitting on top, but 5 were still wrapped in old paper. See the photos. 8 are matching with 5 of those just unwrapped. They measure 3 and1/8 inches tall and 1 and 3/4 wide. ANTIQUE ARTS CRAFTS ERA TUDOR MISSION IRON BRASS CHANDELIER PENDANT HALL LAMP
We are pleased to offer this wonderful antique. Arts and Crafts chandelier. This chandelier features ornate design in the Tudor/Gothic style. The frames are open and are gilt, hammered iron with brass bottom sections. There are 3 crowns/crests attached to the center band of the chandelier. The center downrods feature an incised pattern. The chandelier retains their original ceiling cover/canopies. The canopy is brass and features an embossed, repousse pattern which is quite ornate and which also repeats the crown/crest design. Very good, antique condition. There is some aged patina to the gilted iron and some age spots on the brass. There is a small ring on the bottom finial. This is a very nice old chandelier. Considering their age, their condition is very good. Their wiring is vintage but has been updated from the original and is is in ... morevery good condition. Chandelier measures 20" in height from bottom to top finial; 8" in diameter at the widest point. The hanging chain measures approximately 30" and the canopy measures 6" in length. We are pleased to offer this unusual carved wood hanging lamp! This antique to older vintage fixture is very large. It features 6 panels in a combination of carved wood and wrought iron. The six panels have large arched windows with ornate carving above and below the arched openings. The panels are further adorned with large. Dimensional, carved wood lion face onlays. The lion face accents are located both on the upper and lower section of each panel for a total of 12. The top and bottom of the fixture features ornately scrolled wrought iron. The iron is twisted and forms the frame for the wood panels. There are 6 twists that run in between each panel. Attached to them are six twists that exend outside the wooden frame. This is a beautiful old fixture with lots of character and wonderful details. It is in good antique condition with minor ... moresigns of age. The patina is beautiful with some minor spots of expected rust on the iron. There is no glass and I do not see any evidence that there ever was. The fixture has one light socket located on the upper section of the interior. The wiring is older but in okay condition. The pendant is quite large. It measures 33" from the bottom of the fixture to the top of the circular ringed finial. The fixture is 13" in diameter measuring from the outer wrought iron twists. In the 19th century, English, French, Italian and Spanish potters further ... moredeveloped the lustre glazes of the Italian Renaissance. I am following in the footsteps of William de Morgan, Clement Massier, Vilmos Zsolnay and Theodor Deck, while at the same time, elevating the technique to a new high standard of beauty for the 21st century. I am combining paste and flash reduction techniques to achieve a new lustre vocabulary. The essence of the lustre glaze technique is that the glazed or acid-etched glaze surface of the vase is decorated and covered in bole paste which contains copper, silver or another transitional metal. The pieces are then reduction fired in a muffle kiln with green wood, in the manner of the ancient Greek potters. The bole residue is washed away to reveal the magic of the fire. Hand carved. Wooden Cr oss with fine, silky pa tina. Carved of a single piece of fine grained wood. Just 1/4" thick. This c ross is done in the folk art style. And believed to be of Spanish Colonial origin, California Mission or Mexican. Most likel y. Note the rayed form- four rays come out from the center of the cross. With relie f carving. Which incl udes three wonder ful hearts in the design- one at top. One at center, and one inverted at the central stem. Crosshat ch ing in small diamo nd shapes comp let e the de sign. It is unsigned. Back side shows pencil markings related to cr eating the carving. As well as'trial' carved areas ... morewhere the maker worked out a bit of the de sign.
