I recently received negative feedback for something beyond my control. Up on the auction block today is a nice 3 tier fiberglass lampshade. There are NO tears on the fiberglass. But one small section is starting to peel(minor repair) Also, there is some rust on each of the rings that the fiberglass wraps around. Lastly, there is one small section on the middle ring that the plastic string has broken away. The fiberglass is still attached the rest of the way. This can be seen in the pics. This is a really nice True Vintage Hob Nail Milk Glass Wall Sconce Electric Lamp. The lamp measures approx. 12” tall. And the brass base measures approx. 7 ½“ tall by 3 5/8“ wide. It is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks in the milk glass components. The brass has a few very minor surface scuffs here and there consistent with that of a 50 to 60 year old brass fixture. The light socket is somewhat loose or wobbly. But still functions properly and holds a bulb firmly intact. The brass components have developed a beautiful natural aged antique patina through the decades. Vintage Harmony House Flowerpot Lamp like Panton Flower Pot
For auction: Pair of Harmony House Flowerpot Pendant Ceiling lamps. Harmony House was a home decor brand for Sears. Roebuck that existed for decades up until the early 70's. Often the company offered their own version of popular decor items-in this case, a lamp copied from the very successful Panton Flower Pot lamp of the late 60's. That said, this is still a nicely manufactured item(USA) made entirely of steel with an orange enamel exterior. These lamps are meant to be hard wired, and included are the original brackets and hardware. Please note that the white hanging cord is also original and over time the wire casing has stiffened. Condition is noted in the photos-some chipping on the edge of one of the smaller hemispheres, on the wire hangers that hold those hemispheres, and a barely perceptible dent the size of a dime on one smaller ... morehemisphere. MID CENTURY MODERN"SPUTNIK" CEILING LIGHT with TURQUOISE GLASS GLOBES Up for bid is a fabulous Mid-Century Modern hanging. Swag ceiling light. This very"space race" piece has a very satellite appearance to it. The very 1950's/1960-ish swag light has a main golden globe center piece with five arms. The gold globe has a circumference of 16 inches. From the arms of the center"Sputnik" hang 5 chains. At the ends of the chains are the decorative, ornate covered sockets into which the large turquoise blue glass globes are inserted. The glass globes have a circumference of 19 inches and have a vertical, melon, ribbed design. The chains vary in length. The measure 9.5, 13, 17, 22 and 25 inches in length without the glass globe. Add another 9.5 inches if you measure the length of the globe top glass edge to the bottom ... moreof the finial. This light fixture has a very long, swag chain of approximately 187 inches.or about 15'7inches. There is a finial at the base of each of the glass globes. The top part of the finial that sits next to the glass has the gold covering gone.it has flaked off and has a rust color. I think that could be touched up with some gold paint. There is some light paint loss on the gold center globe. not bad and very liveable. Also. Near where one arm of the center, gold"Sputnik" globe there is a spot of discoloration about the size of a quarter. It has light surface rust and could easily be covered up with gold paint. See the photo, too on this one. There is some wear and tear and gold loss on the finial themselves and on the long gold chain.see photos. The plug is an older plug.you may or may not want to change it. In my opinion, the overall appearance of this hanging fixture is very nice. There is some slight chipping on the edges of glass globe where it is insert into the ornate sockets. The fifth globe has a larger chip. Please see photos for this. Heavy, thick glass shade and column that has been paired with a vintage solid brass bottom piece and a solid cast ceiling cap, and then rewired with brand new period correct cloth covered wire and new porcelain sockets. All brand new hardware and fixture hub& chain too! Crystals are stunning. The finial is a HUGE brand new, faceted 26% lead crystal ball(measures about 1 3/4" diameter on the ball) The hanging octagon chains are brand new too, and the long pencil drops are antique. This custom chandelier is an excellent example of Art Deco style and is spectacular to look at! It's large. Measures almost 17" wide and the total drop including crystals is approximately ... more24 1/2" It can be shortened by about 2" if requested. It has 5 light sockets accepting up to 60 watts each. So it really lights up a space! Suitable for a large room. The flaws: Brass parts contain some tarnish- not noticeable though. The shade itself has a couple of straw marks from manufacture. A small chip on the inside rim(not seen) and a teeny, teeny, tiny area of bumpiness at an edge. I have photoed all of this for you to see. You can see some epoxy on the inside of the bottom brass piece, if you stand above the light and scrutinize it. You will notice it when installing it, but then it cannot be seen at all. That being said.it is in like new working condition. Refurbished with with top quality parts, sure to last another 90 years. The overall effect of this chandelier is just stunning.
