This is an antique clear glass kerosene lamp font. There are no chips or cracks in either one. fFiller cap appears to be a replacement. The lamp font has a loose replacement collar which can easily be attached with plaster of paris. it is for use with a#2 size lamp burner.If your dont have an antique burner availabe please check my#2 new brass plated burners listed on my site. The font is 4" tall and 3-1/4" across the base. It will work well to restore hanging lamps or for wall mounted brackets. I have a variety of kerosene lamp restoration parts listed. Vintage Art Deco GLASS LAMP PARTS BEADED HOBNAIL Spacer Base
For your consideration is a lot of 4 PIECES OF GLASS LAMP PARTS. 1- The first piece(pics 2.3,4) is a hobnail beaded lamp base measuring 4 1/2" wide and 1 1/2" tall. It has 4 rows of beaded glass and weighs appox. 10 oz. It has a 1/2" cut out on the bottom row of beaded glass for the electrical cord. This piece has a little discoloration near the hole but otherwise no nicks or chips that I can see. 2- The next piece(pics 5.6,7) is a 2 5/8" wide X 2" tall and 1/4" thick glass spacer? It has one piece of one of the beads broken and a couple of chips on the top hole. Still a very good. Usable piece. 3- The next piece(pic 8.9) is a spacer measuring 1/2" tall X 2 5/8" wide. It has 2 indentions near the hole and has a couple of chips missing from the glass near the hole. There is also a little discoloration ... morenear the hole but looks like it could be cleaned off. 4- The last piece(pics 10.11,12) is a 1 7/8" across on one end and 7/8" across on the other end, 1/4" thick and is 2 3/16" tall. This is for a nice lamp finial that may be Aladdin but not for sure. I could not find out any information on it. It has a brass or brass coated bottom and clear glass round top with raised flowers of some sort. It is in nice used condition with no cracks. There is a makers flaw in that there is roughness on the top edge where there is some chipping on the mold seam but it is only on the mold seam. see close-up picture) I kept meaning to take it to town with me to the glass shop to have it ground and smoothed down. Like it should have been done at the factory but keep forgetting to take it with me so selling it as is, otherwise in great shape. It measures approx. 3 ½” tall x 2 ¼” across the round. Kerosene Glass Lamp Font - Lot of Two - Similar - Attractive
This is a pair of antique clear glass kerosene lamp fonts. There are not a true pair. But very similar in shape and size. There are no chips or cracks in either one. Both of the filler caps appear to be replacements. One of the fonts has an inner threaded collar in place. The other has a loose replacement collar which can easily be attached with plaster of paris. Both of them are for use with#2 size lamp burners. If you do not have old burners available, pleasee my listing for new#2 brass plated burners. The fonts are 41/2" tall and 3-3/4" across the base. The original wadding remains which is essential for safe burning. We were told the lamp is from the early 1900's. It stands 7 inches tall. The base across the bottom is 3 inches. We havent done any cleaning to the lamp. BRASS WHALE OIL or CAMPHENE LAMP w ORIGINAL BURNER. C. 1840-70 This is a small brass lamp for either whale oil. Or perhaps camphene, and circa 1840 to maybe 1870s, or so, and it looks like it is probably American in origin. Lamp is 6" high with a 2 1/2" base, and it is complete with the original screw in burner. The font is urn shaped, and it sits on three tall brass rods attached to the small domed brass base. The lamp has a great old color and patina and it has not been polished in years. It is just slightly loose, as the rods are probably peened over inside both the closed base and font, so they can't be tightened up at all without taking the lamp apart. I have not seen another lamp quite like this one, so I had a little difficulty dating it precisely.
