Delicate Chinese White and Blue Porcelain Plate. Painted by Hand. With Kangxi Mark Lovely antique Chinese plate made of white porcelain with cobalt blue hand-painted decoration. This is an antique piece in quite good condition that boasts a high elegance and a very attractive and balanced decoration. The plate shows a small restoration at the edge. But otherwise the porcelain is in good condition. The blue decoration looks bright and shiny: it is composed by a series of hand-painted designs full of taste and attention to detail. The decoration is divided in various zones: the circular fringe, the center and four equally sized sections that cover most of the plate. The central circle is painted with four similar figures of animals. Each one into its corresponding dark blue oval. The motive is framed by a fringe composed of dots that form radial ... morelines. Surrounding this central motive and covering a big part of the surface we can see four nice scenes of floral inspiration. They are all different but similar in style, depicting big flowers on a leafy background with oriental-inspired buildings. On the other hand. The edge is decorated with a blue wide stripe embellished with a diamond pattern and the same dot lines that surround the central motive. The whole decoration is beautiful and wonderfully performed, and boasts a feeling of movement and balance full of aesthetical interest. At the back of the plate we can see the Kangxi mark(1622-1722) written in blue under the porcelain glaze that protects and embellish the piece. Kangxi was the third emperor of Qing Dynasty and the second in ruling over China as a whole. His reign lasted for sixty one years and was the longest one in the history of the country, and also one of the most important ones as it was a time of splendor for culture and arts. With Kangxi Mark This sober and elegant Chinese porcelain vase is a classic oriental artisanal piece because of its shape and delicate cobalt blue decoration. Its shape is rounded and sober and the delicate hand-painted motives that adorn the white surface are really remarkable. Practically the whole piece is covered by this decoration in a detailed exercise carefully performed by an artist of porcelain painting. The vase is in great condition and shows no flaws or dents. Standing as beautiful as when it was originally made. The decoration. As stated before, covers the whole surface and is painted with extreme care. The convex part is painted with an impressive imperial dragon with five fingers in each claw, symbol of good fortune. The beast has a long and wavy snake body ... morethat twists and surrounds almost the whole vase. Its face shows a fiery expression with furious eyes and open jaws. The body is carefully painted, boasting an incredible perfection in every detail. The mythological animal is surrounded by big abstract flowers and curved volutes. Just over the vase’s belly. At the neck’s base we can see a fringe with bats, animals that are also a symbol of good luck in Chinese art. This vase’s neck is also decorated with the image of an open-winged bird, surrounded by flowers and volutes just like the ones that decorate the background on which the dragon rests. ANTIQUE CHINESE CHRISTIE'S KANGXI PERIOD PORCELAIN BLUE & WHITE IMPERIAL CHARGER
A KANGXI PERIOD BLUE& WHITE EMPEROR SCENE CHARGER. A blue and white underglazed charger depicting a scene with the Emperor. A scholar, and an attendant standing at a doorway beckoning a figure to retreat into a forest of lingbi and pines. The charger is bordered by a patterned reserve with 8 flowers. The reverse is circled with 6 branches of bamboo. The reserve also bears a Christie's Label from a previous sale in London. The charger is very large at 35 cm. The porcelain is thinly potted and the surface shows age consistent with the Kangxi Period. There are minor firing flaws and iron spots present. There are no cracks. Overall, the plate is in very good condition. Authenticity is guaranteed!

AN IMPERIAL KANGXI PERIOD BLUE& WHITE PLATE, A beautiful blue and white floral plate. Decorating with delicate sprays of important flowers interspersed amongst lingbi stones. The decoration is very vibrant, being decorated across the entire surface, with a stunning period blue. The reverse of the plate is marked with an extremely rare Censer mark within a double-circle, indicating that this was likely an imperial made piece. The reverse also contains a museum reference number detailing the entrance of the plate into the museum. This plate was the 12th item collected by the museum on May 21st 1975. Please see the information below for the full provenance. The plate is expertly made of thin white porcelain and is in great condition with minor firing flaws and a single tiny rim frit. The plate measures 25 cm across. Provenance: The charger ... morewas collected in 1931 by Christian De Waal of The Hague and was gifted years later by his widow to George W. Headley III. A wealthy American aristocrat who studied at l'Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Chinese porcelain Transitional Period \ Kangxi Brush washer blue white dragon
Hello This is a beautiful piece of porcelain from around 1650- 1700. It is a brush washer for a scholars desk. It is painted in underglaze blue. With some copper tracery over the glaze. There are some slight incisions in the porcelain to mark the design(see photo 3) It is unmarked,not unusual for this time period. The overglaze has a slight greenish tinge. There is a teeny tiny chip on the side(see photo 10) but other than that it is in great condition. The image is of a dragon in the clouds- his tail and head are on 2 different sides of the bowl. It is not quite round- it measures 6" long x 5 3/4" long and almost 2" high.

This example dates to the Kangxi Reign c1700. The soft paste porcelain finely painted in pleasing tones and washes of sapphire blue with a Chinese scholar/ elder gesturing to an infant sweeping the floor within a interior setting, the border with fruit(pomegranates? painted panels interspersed with a profusion of trellis diaper as shown. The reverse of the plate is painted with landscapes and figures in boats, the plate is marked with a retrospective Ming(1368-1644) reign mark within double blue concentric circles as shown with a well levigated foot ring which one would associate with a piece from this period. I am not an expert and very much trying to learn, however this plate had been very finely painted in blue underglaze, with a butterfly flowers and bamboo in a fenced garden, then other colours applied, which could have years later! The reverse undecorated. And unmarked. Apart from the number 2397 in the inside rim. possibly the sign of Chinese export ware.there are a few chips around the rim and foot, but nothing serious, and Isabel from the front. Up fore sale is part of a great oriental pottery collection. The set of 6 cup and saucers are all hand decorated. The colors are great there is a turquoise green.
