Hoosier "Baby Boone" Type Kitchen Cabinet Spice Tins, Extremely Rare, Hurry Now!
Up for bids is this Hard-to-Find"Baby Boone" Type Kitchen Cabinet 5-Piece Spice Tin Set including Nutmegs. Allspice, Cloves, Ginger and Cinnamon. You rarely ever see these anywhere and if you ever find any they usually aren't for sale! These spice tins were probably manufactured circa 1910- 1915 prior to the use of glass spice jars and are only 3" tall and 1 3/4" diameter. There is one picture that shows a regular sized tin behind them so you can see the difference plus the one picture where I am holding two of the tins in the palm of my hand. Only the 5 Baby Boone Spice Tins are for sale. They would make a great addition to any collection for the primitive collector. This set of tins are clean and all lids are in very good condition, and have been taken pretty good care of considering their age, use, with some scratches, ... moresome with dings/dents, normal wear and tear. Up for bids is this Hard-to-Find Boone Kitchen Cabinet Type 6-Piece Tin Set including Coffee. Tea, Ginger, Cinnamon, Baking Powder and Cream of Tartar. These coffee, tea and spice tins were probably manufactured circa 1910- 1915 prior to the use of glass spice jars and canisters. These tins would make a great addition to any collection for the primitive collector. This set of tins is clean, in very good overall condition and have been taken pretty good care of considering their age, use, with some scratches, some with minor dings/dents, normal wear and tear. The Coffee Canister is 6 3/8" Tall(plus knob) X 4 1/4" Diameter, the Tea Canister is 4 1/2" Tall(plus knob) X 3 1/4" Diameter and the Spice Tins are 5" Tall X 2 1/2" Diameter and all the Lids are in very good condition. Two shelves, one wire cook book holder, three pieces of wire for"the second to the bottom photo shows 2 similar wire brackets. they hold the dispenser for bean etc unit that mounted across from the flour sifter and allow the dispenser to slide in and out for filling. This description is from the gentleman I bought this from. Couldn't let it get thrown away. I didn't take these shelves off because I am not a professional and didn't want to damage them. Old Antique OAK Hoosier Kitchen Cupboard Cabinet Copper Counter Slag Glass Doors
Vintage Hoosier Style Kitchen Cupboard Cabinet w/Copper& Slag Glass Doors This is a gorgeous old kitchen'Hoosier style' cupboard. It has the base. The hutch and a beautiful copper topped counter that does indeed pull out on the base. The top hutch has three doors on the top part with leaded Slag Glass in green and white milk-glass. These appear to have been added to the doors some time ago when this piece appears to have been refinished. The lower part of the upper hutch have two larger wooden doors. The outside of the right door appears to have sustained surface water damage to it some time ago. The bottom base part has one large latching door on the left side that reveals a metal lined storage bin with one wire rack making a shelf in it. The right side has three drawers where the twop two right side drawers are in wood and the ... morebottom right drawer is lined in tin/metal. The counter is simply beautiful. The counter was resurfaced in a solid sheet of copper sometime ago when the entire piece was lightly refinished. The copper counter has a nice protective coat of varnish or poly on it as does the entire piece. The sheen is in a nice soft gloss. Not a shreakingly heavy gloss that makes one put on sunglasses just to look at it. This piece is on metal casters with wood wheels and is easy to move if needed. The drawer pulls appear to be original to the piece. However some of the upper hardware appears to have either been moved during the restoration or have been replaced. All the hardware appears to be correct for the piece, I just can not swear it is all orginal to the piece. The family reports that they just remember this piece being as it has always been so the restoration work done on this piece was done at least more than 40-50 years ago. If I were to keep this for my very own. I would be proud to display it in my own kitchen and show it as my own. Take that for what it is worth. I will gladly entertain reasonable offers. McDougall 48" Wide hoosier-type cabinet - circa 1920
Offered here today is this very nice restorable. Mixed-wood McDougall cabinet. This is a 48" wide cabinet. It has been painted green which was not an or iginal color for McDougall. Unique about this cabinet is it's roll DOWN tambour. Cabinet is co mplete with the or iginal flour bin/sifter which lowers on spring loaded arms. All hardware appea rs original. The porcelain worktop is in great shape and will clean up nicely. The left-hand drawer in the underside of the worktop has a patch in the front. This needs to be repaired properly. The large storage area in the bottom has a pull out tray. Bread drawer is original but is missing the sliding top. I used to restore these cabinet s and this was one that I purchased to restore. Pale green ribbed hoosier jar with aluminum lid labeled spice. This jar stands 5" tall with a 1 3/4" opening and a 2 1/4" base. It has no makers mark but the is a#10 on the bottom. The jar alone weighs 8 ounces. There is a rust stain in the inside bottom of the jar and the lip is rough(see picture) There is a straw mark on the bottom. It is not a crack. The lid is dented(see picture) There are no cracks, no repairs.

Hoosier/Sellers Cabinet Coffee Canister 8" tall. 4" diameter Ribbed jar with"Coffee" in raised print. Screw on lid(cannot tell if this is an original or not) Lid has one tiny'ding' on the edge. This jar has LOTS of large bubbles and imperfections. There are a few spots in the glass that look like cracks or shattered lines. But on inspection, I feel they are imperfections. The glass inside and out in these spots is perfectly smooth, and I cannot SEE any cracks, even with a magnifying glass. They almost look like bubble explosions, as this jar has very large bubbles. There is a rough spot on top edge with a tiny chip along the edge. As you can see in my photo, there is a large bubble at this spot, right up to the edge. Nice vintage condition! VINTAGE SET OF 2 GLASS HOOSIER CABINET CANISTERS
Welcome. Today we are offering this great set of Hoosier Cabinet Glass Canisters.They have their original lids and are in a square ribbed design.There is a medium size Tea canister which has the name embossed with 5 inch tall x 3 inch wide. The second canister is same design but smaller 4.5 inch x 2 inch wide and has no name embossed but an area where you can add a label for sugar. Spices, etc. These both have their original Aluminum lid which have a few small dents but this only adds character to these great vintage pieces. There are air bubbles in the glass with no cracks seen only a few rough edges along the inside top edges of the the smaller canister. The tea canister has 2 very tiny superficial chips that i could only find by rubbing my hand along top of the edge.this does not affect their function.The lids fit well and hide these minor ... moreimperfections which you could expect in pieces of this age. Listed is a Napanee Dutch Kitchenet by Coppes Brothers of Nappanee I ndiana. Circa 1920's. I don't know the exact age. This was purchased at an estate sale years ago and has been sitting in my basement sinc e. We had plans for it but those f ell through. All original hinges. Handles and pa int. Porcelain counter top. Top opening for flour sifter bin. Working drawers and rolling pantry door. Metal flour sifter bin. All pieces of the bin and sifter are intact and clean. Hoosier cabinet stained glass doors sugar jar flour bin
This auction is for a really nice old Hoosier that was damaged in moving. The top is in good condition with some stains and wood warping but minor. The bottom is very damaged. The back is gone. The inside frame that holds the drawers is broken. Outside frame is good. Includes glass sugar jar and hardware, tip out flour bin, stained glass doors and glass knobs. Sliding doors work, a mouse chewed on one corner of the door where they meet. Wish some one would fix it up but I can't afford to pay some one to fix it. PS I paid $900 for this cabinet and used it in my kitchen. $250 is a steal. I've ben hoping to get it fixed but I need the money like everyone else these days.

The oak front needs to be reattached. It has the original handle and oak front. It needs an opening to be about 15 1/2" wide. 20 1/2" deep, and 9 1/4" tall. Those are the measurements of the drawer. A Baker's Cabinet has loosely been refered to as a Hoosier cabinet due to the large number sold by"The Hoosier Manufacturing Company" Originally a typical baker's cabinet would consist of a table with drawers and bins for flour or meal. The upper shelf would include shelves for dishes or utensils. In the Midwest Ohio region. By the turn of the century, a few small furniture companies began to mass produce these free standing kitchen ... morecabinets. These company's accomodated the independent baker to store all the items needed right at their fingertips. Built in flour bins with sifters attached. Sugar containers, and spice jars were helpful. Large bottom cabinets provided storage for utensils and pans. A work table top attached to the cabinet provided space to roll out the dough and prepare the breads and pastries. Various materials. Including wood, zinc, and alluminum, have been used for the workstation tops, the most popular and healthiest was porcelain. Through the use of a bracket to lift the upper cabinet above the lower, the work table could extend out for a larger working space. Roll doors were used as sanitary means and ant proof casters placed at the 4 feet kept the pests from crawling up into the cabinet. Boone Cabinets were designed by 369 women. 1900s Oak Hoosier Kitchen Cabinet with Coffee Grinder
Specifications: This is a late 1800's to early 1900's oak hoosier kitchen unit from the lower east side's Hester Street region of New York City. Manufacturer is unknown. But the style and hardware would seem to indicate that is about a hundred years old, popular with immigrant families of the era. Has a pie safe. Flour sifter, and wire storage racks. Particulars: I would assume that this item was painted at one time. But has been dipped circa the 1970's and has revealed a lovely oak surface. However, it is not complete and is a work in progress for those who want to salvage it, and is priced accordingly. A nice project for those who want a bargain piece for restoration. The pluses: The oak is very nice overall and has the patima that 100 years of protection under a coat of paint can bestow. The flower sifter and coffee grinder ... moreare still usable. Should you want to go old school on a nice summer morning in the kitchen, despite the fact that flour seldom needs sifting these days. But if you love the era, you'll probably do it anyway while the kittens are being fed and the birds are waking up. The hardware is primitive, but gets the job done. The minuses: The dipping has loosened the door joints. And the doors should probably be squared up and reglued. I'm presuming that the doors origionally held glass, but most have hexwire instead. There is a drawer missing. Looks like an insert repair was made under the countertop at one time. The counter isn't enamel like the later 1910ish versions, just oak, and it's been cracked and will have to be reglued. The top to the coffee grinder looks to be an add-on, but an attractive one. Overall rating: 6x10 due to needed repairs. Restrictions: Bidding is restricted to residents of the continental United States. I have up for auction this Vintage Hoosier Door Chart. A Daily Reminder Chart. It has all 5 brass pointers, and still in very good shape for it's age. Minus the stains and tack holes that is. Vintage Hoosier Cabinet Slide Out Flour Bin & bracket
Slide Out Flour Bin This is a slide/ pull out flour bin for a" Hoosier" style cabinet. Going by the bracket I would guess this was originaly for a metal Youngstown cabinet. Most of these cabinets are refered to as"Hoosier. Sellers" With out any markings you would have to be a real expert to tell wich one the parts came out of. The best way is to know the measurements of what your looking for. This will fit many diff. cabinets as long as they have room for this size bin. This one has two channels on each side that would let this slide out on the bracket The flour bin measures; 6-1/2" tall including hieght of bracket. Actual bin is 10-1/8" wide, 10-1/8" front to back, mounting bracket is 11" wide x 12" deep. This is in useable condition. This has surface rust. Inside of bin is about same cond. as ... moreoutside. As with most of these bins this will need some cleaning/ restoring. With a wire brush a little elbow grease and a can of spray paint this will look great in your cabinet. Missing the sifter. Antique Original "Hoosier" Kitchen Cabinet Mounting for Top Bracketts Parts (T)
This listing is for a pair of original Antique Kitchen Cabinet bracketts to mount the top to the base. The groove provides a place for the table top to slide in and out. 11 1/2" long. 3 7/8" wide. These were salvaged from an antique cabinet. They are very dirty and rusty. You will need to soak in a chemical to clean them or to wire brush them to make the polished. Early Hoosier Style Bakers DRY SINK Cabinet with Glass Doors & Potato Bin
This is one of the finest early Hoosier style Bakers Kitchen Cabinets that I have seen. The manufacture is unknown however this piece has plenty of character. The side boards on the top are 14" wide and the potato bin has whopping 17" wide boards making up the sides. Please note the saw marks on the original back of the cabinet and it is SQUARE NAILED constructed. It appears to be constructed of Oak and Chestnut. This cabinet also features SLIDING GLASS DOORS with two shelves in which the bottom shelf offers 12" of height and the top shelf offers 9" height and both have plate rails and are 9" deep. Very nice metal lined DRY SINK with a lift lid compartment behind the sink, a hidden compartment to the back right of the sink, another lift lid compartment to the right of the sink, 13 SPICE DRAWERS under the glass doors, ... morevery clean pull out NOODLE BOARD with 2 SILVERWARE DRAWERS, a very large POTATO BIN, and a POT& PAN shelf behind the lower sliding BASE DOORS. Also, the drawer bottoms are hand chamfered and the hardware does appear to be original. Please note the SPOON CARVINGS on the doors, drawers and front of the dry sink. The cabinet is on casters and is a 2 pc. unit and tha cabinet is very heavy and solid. This cabinet measures 69"H x 48 1/2"W x 29"D. There is no free shipping. This is a really nice Hoosier Style kitchen cabinet. It's made of wood and enamel. It has a nice clear mirror in the top. What's really great about this one is there is a center handle that when you pull it out. It extends the enamel counter for more counter space. WHO DOESN'T NEED MORE COUNTER SPACE? Green McDougall Hoosier Side Cabinet
Found this cabinet in the basement of our house we bought 25 years ago. It seems to be a McDougall Side cabinet meant to compliment the company's Hoosier cabinets. The paint seems to be an original green color. The lower back panel is missing. I'm not and expert but this looks in fairly good shape.
