So if you are knowledgeable perhaps you can look through these photos and help us determine ... morewhen. And specifically what style this tapestry is. I have read a lot online, and still find it difficult to assess how old and from where this originates. I can tell you that we purchased it from an Estate Sale in Chandler, Arizona and the family was rich with items dating back to the late 1800s and many photos from that period in Virginia. From what little I know. It appears to be a French Tapestry, possibly Flemish style? Please feel free to comment on what you think. Other specifics I can relay are that the actual tapestry measures 12" by 19" with an extra inch added for the gold painted wooden frame on each side. The back of the frame has a paper covering which is slightly coming off. Consequently I thought that I would take a few photos of what's under the paper in the hopes it might help figure out more about this beautiful piece of art. It is obviously vintage by the look and feel of the wood. Paper, and discoloration over time of the materials used, which only adds to the rich quality of the aesthetic. in my opinion. This nice small perfume bottle measures approximately 2 1/2" high by 1 5/8" at the widest spot on the bottle. The label is in very bad shape. Regarding the lettering. I was only able to identify it because I could still see the apple and the word Eve on the label. It is my understanding that this fragrance, Fille d' Eve was launched in 1952. On the bottom of the bottle are the embossed words"Lalique French Bottle" The bottle is in great shape with no cracks or chips. The stopper is frozen in place. I add that I was able to find a similar plate and it was attributed to the painter Jacques Jarry but I wonder if the initials on the reverse, are those of E. This is a beautiful. Heavy, sterling silver piece measuring 9 ½ inches in diameter and weighing 17.8 ounces(505 grams) The hexagonal French silver mark on the reverse side shows the left-facing head of Mercury and the number 1 on the lower left. Indicating silver made in France for export. The diamond-shaped maker’s mark contains a‘PR’ over an oil lamp over‘Cie’ The mark used by the Odiot company from 1894 to 1906. The underside also reads‘Mon. Odiot/Prevost& Cie/8124. As you can see from the photographs. The piece is very tarnished and spotted. It had been sitting untouched in a storage loft for many. Many years and I have done nothing to clean or polish it. Aside from superficial scratching. It looks to be in wonderful condition. It's solid 22 Kt+ gold(tested) and has the cock's head hallmark for Parisian gold used only between 1809-1819. It's probably from a Palais Royal box.
