These are quite rare. 55.5 cm center to center seat tube. Sound condition. No rust, but the paint and decals have seen better days. The stem is stuck, will need some patient soaking and coaxing, maybe a little heat. Enameled badge: Miss Helyett" from the Audran operette. The later bikes didn't have the nice brass enameled badges. Here is a vintage Alpinestars frame. It is a 21.5 frame from center of BB to top of seat tube. Frame is in nice shape and with some aluminum polish. I am sure it will come up stunning. Never built this frame myself or rode it. Also included with the frame is the Manitou threaded fork which is dead, Ritchey Logic Headset, Alpinestars quill stem, they are just profile design riser bars, a nameless anodized purple post, Alpinestars seat collar, and shimano derailluers. Cannondale Jekyll 500 frame, 17" -medium
Nice Jekyll 17" frame. Included is the headset adapters that if you want to put a regular fork and headset on instead of a lefty or head shok. You are ready to go. Frame has some scuffs and scrapes and some cable rub. I looked it over with a flashlight and didnt see any flaws with the frame as far as cracks. The rear shock feels pretty good but there is a little leak I guess because there is a little oil on the shock. Also included is a deore front derailluer, seat clamp, and post. 2005 Cannondale Scalpel frame, Fox, alum/ carbon Medium, Handmade in USA, light
Cannondale Scalpel. The winningest full-suspension bike in World Cup history! This is a 2005 Cannondale Scalpel frame and carbon seatpost. The nice one(came with full XTR) and it was handmade in the USA. It originally came with full XTR and Mavic Crossmax wheels(the wheels are actually for sale in another auction) Frame is aluminum and carbon fiber. This frame also comes with the stock carbon fiber seat post. The rear shock is a Fox Float RP3 with ProPedal. It's smooth. Precise, and holds air great. Right off the bat. I need to mention that there are 3 tiny dents in the down tube in front of the bottom bracket, from the frame being clamped too hard in a roof rack. I have shown it to several bike shops, and two highly respected custom frame builders, and all agree that it is absolutely nothing to worry about. It happened years ago, and ... morehas always been a non-issue. Check out the images.smooth gentle dents that didn't even so much as scratch the paint. Other than that, it's very light wear. The images give you an idea what good shape this frame is in. Even the down tube and bottom bracket shell are almost completely free of rock or chain-slap chips. GIANT XTC TEAM FRAME, 21", 3.74 LBS!! 26" WHEEL, INSET HEADSET, DISC OR V-BRAKE
This is one Giant XTC Team issue hardtail frame. I'm not sure of the year. But it has disc brake mounts, and also the frame will accept cantilever studs(which I do NOT have) in case you wanted to run V-brakes or cantilevers. Wheel size is 26" The bottom bracket is the traditional threaded type. Frame type is Giant Aluxx SL aluminum. The bike ended up being just a little bit too small for me. Which is a huge bummer, because this is one light, stiff, snappy, and highly responsive frame. Weight with the headset(and the zip tie holding it into the frame in the pictures) is only 3.74 lbs on the scale at the local bike shop! Included with the frame is a FSA cartridge bearing inset headset, and TWO spare derailleur hangers. The little billboard with all the sponsors on the top tube is not a sticker. But is actually part of the factory paint ... morejob, and has clear coat over it. The name"GIANT" on the down tube is actually raised lettering on the frame. The frame is in premium shape, as you can see by the photos, there are no dents and hardly any nicks in the paint. There are a couple little spots on the side of the head tube where the cables rubbed the paint off, but other than that, it's in pretty nice shape! You could easily touch those spots up with some touch-up paint, or some electrical tape. Check out the bottom of the down tube, and the bottom of the chainstays and bottom bracket shell. The paint is in great shape; nothing has been touched up. This frame has NOT been abused. I took some measurements on the bike before I disassembled it. As this seems to be a fairly rare frame, and there aren't too many specs I could find on it. I measured things as well as I could with a tape measure, so they might not be perfect, but they are close. Standover height was measured with a Fox RLC 100 fork(which made it handle fantastically! a 26 x 2.1 tire in the back, and a 26. x 2.2 tire in the front. I am selling a 1985 Haro Sport frame(serial# starting 85030) Overall good condition considering age. Would make a good rider. No cracks or rewelds, only one small dent shown in pic on bottom of down tube along with an area of hammer marks on the head tube. The cable guides are a little tweeked but totally functional. The rear drop outs are in ok to good shape, you can see the washer marks but nothing major, no bends or tweeking of the rear drops. There is no squishing of the brake mount and it looks very good in the seat mast area. Feel free to ask any questions, I will answer them as fast as possible. Thank you.
