Vintage Black Americana Primitive Cloth Rag Doll, Folk Art Black Rag Doll *WOW*
You are bidding on a very cute and in great condition Black American Primitive Cloth Rag Doll. Doll measures about 14 inches tall. She is wearing a very simple gray and white striped cloth frock with a pair of cream colored pants. Most on the doll looks like it was machine sewn with the exception of the neckline. Clearly. Around the neck was hand sewn. I also think the features on the simple face were hand-sewn. There is a small red mouth and 2 cream colored eyes- these are all made up of a half dozen or so threads. The black hair is made up of what looks to be some kind of rope that the edges have been frayed. There are 9 total and 7 of the 9 have small red thread ribbons tied on. The only flaws I see are a light reddish colored stain on the dress on the back of one arm near the hand. It's very light and not very large.maybe the size ... moreof a quarter. It may or may not wash out- I didn't try for fear of ruining the old cloth. There is also what looks to be a word stamped in the material on the front of the frock. I cannot make out what it says. It is also a light red color and much of it has faded off. Very nice old rag doll! There are no tags or marks that I can find that would give any indication as to age or maker. There’s lots and lots of variety, and nifty stuff too- so I hope you enjoy! These 2 old terra cotta corbels are stand alone lovely just as they are- prop them up with your pretties and they will shine! Actually- they'd prop the pretties. I should say, as they are stand sturdy pieces of terra cotta clay, matching, each with a three round ball decoration on the front. Each one weighs a smidge under 5 1/4 lbs, and they measure 2 5/8" wide, 6 1/4" deepest and 5 3/8" tall. They are in excellent solid and sturdy condition- no structural issues or cracks, but with lots of rustic wear to the clay- there's small chips, nicks, pits, rubs- some original ... moreto the rustic making, some not- like on the round balls of the front. This antique table stand caught my eye. It is very uni que. I could not find what category to put it under. It is carved. Rough cut in some areas. Looks like a rooster/chicken bird of some sor t carved legs. Two of the screws look like the original. One newer one replaced. I do not know the age. Looks as though it had a design in the center of table. Cannot quite make out what it was. The tabl e legs are slightly wob bly. Not much. I did not tighten. did not want to damage it. The table stands 26" high. 15" diameter table top. Looks almost like Pa Dutch design flowers.tul ips on top of t able. I am not an expert w hen it comes to furniture. But I feel that this piece is worth something. Just have a gut feeling. I could be wrong. If you know more about the piece, than it is yours. Stain on wood is dark. The colors of the rooster-two ... moretoned. The table stand is in fairly good cond ition. I really like it. But I have no place for it. Delivery choi ces are listed. Up on the auction block is a pine wood wall mounted hanging simple mission style finely crafted primitive medicine cabinet 15" x 21" x 5 1/4" off the wall with cubbyhole shelf under cabinet and top of cabinet can be a shelf also showing some stains as seen in pics. Mirrored door is 12" x 9" professionally framed corners securely attached with two 1 1/2" properly working brass hinges plus 1" clean no damage glass handle included. Cabinet and shelf are all made out of 3/4" stock material with a piece of 1/4" plywood for backer board mortised in side panels so cabinet sits flush to the wall Ready to install/hang with two hangers securely attached on back with small chip in one corner of plywood. Wood is all solid no damage finished in dark walnut stain showing gentle used condition with some minor ... morebumps& bruises very light scratches along with a couple scratches/marks on mirror. ANTIQUE HARDSOCG COAL MINER PICK OTTUMWA IA ALLEGHENY PA PRIMITIVE MINING TOOL
Offered is this primitive miners rock pick manufactured in the 1800's by The Martin Hardsocg Co. Limited. This company made tools for coal miners and was originally organized at Ottumwa. IA. and later(c.1880) opening up a factory in Allegheny, PA. This old pick-axe measures 12 7/8 inches from point to point and weighs 3 pounds, 8 ounces. The iron head has been well used but is structurally sound with no cracks or breaks. The"HARDSOCG" name is impressed stamped into one side of it. The wood handle has splits and is broken on its end. A hole has been drilled through the broken end of the handle, so that it could be displayed on a wall.

Superb Northwest Indian Folk Art Primitive Carved Painted Desk Object
ALL MY ITEMS ARE GUARANTEED ORIGINAL ANTIQUES FROM THE DATE LISTED IN THE TITLE OR IN THE DESCRIPTION. This amazing piece of folk art came to Eureka. California in 1936 as a gift from a Northwest Indian man who stayed with the family through the war years. The piece, as told to me by the family, was a gift for their generosity. I don't know if he was the artist or if instead it was made by one of his family or tribal members. Nothing more was passed down as information except that he was from a tribe in the Vancouver Island area. The piece it seems was meant to sit on a desk and perhaps held an inkwell and pens. The techniques and elements of the design remind me of totem art but there is definitely some strange departures from traditional motif's. The central figure has devil like qualities with a fish in his mouth, a trident and ... morea tail. The piece is in very fine condition and was stored away for many years. The original varnish that covers the paint is intact and you can see from my closeups is soiled and curdled. The piece measures 11 1/2 x 9 x 7 1/2 inches in height. YOU ARE BIDDING ON AN AUTHENTIC Hopi Kachina. VERY RARE ARTIFACT This Hopi Polychrome cottonwood. Flat style Kachina Hahai- was given to every infant as their first present. It was also given to the Female Eagle when it is time to be killed dring the Niman Ceremony of Mid-Summer. THIS KACHINA IS ORIGINAL AND HAS NOT BEEN TOUCHED UP. IT HAS A COUPLE NICKS WHICH CAN BE EXPECTED FOR SUCH AN OLD ARTIFACT. The Kachina is painted and dyed with original feathers on top of a beautiful greenish color. The patina on the white natural color has a yellowish color from aging. Early Antique-Primitive Coverlet-Center Seam -3 day auction
Thank you for stopping by! I have up for auction a very nice center seam coverlet. I don't have alot of knowledge on coverlets so I am hoping for you collectors there are enough photos for you. If you need additional photos or have any questions I will definately try to help out. The measurements on this coverlet are approx. 91" long x 66 1/2" wide. It is of heavy weight. It has a top edge(hem) turned over 2 1/4" and the bottom is turned over 1/4" It shows beautifully and it does have some seam separation with some missing stitches and loose ones. Edges are not finished-see pic 3. There is one small brown stain the size of a quarter that I see. Also there are 4 areas that are at issue but I believe 2 definately could be easily repaired and the others could also be if you have that great seamtress ability. Unfortunately ... moreI was not blessed with it.It has been in storage and does not have any smells but it might need to be cleaned.Please note that my space was limited and the 1st picture is only showing 1/2 of the coverlett.
