The measurement underneath from the lid's rim at bottom which fits inside the crock measures from outside edge to opposite outside edge approx. 8.75" across. This antique stoneware lid has a lovely number"3" inscribed on center underneath lid on bottom which is in a hand-inscribed stylized'curly' font(see close-up pic included) The color is'mottled' meaning that there are other colors including black on its surface with a'striped' affect(see pics) The lid has its finial knob on top(see pics) which is undamaged. The lid is in very good period condition with no repairs and no cracks, it has some chips-there are no chips on finial knob, on the inside raised rim on top of lid there are only a few tiny minute flea bites or abrasions there(see pics) there are few chips on the surface of the sides of the inside bottom(underside) rim which do not go very deep(see pics) and last on the top of the outermost rim's edge there are 4 chips as shown in pics-please view this and all pics as to condition and color patterning. Nice luster, looks different in every kind of light. Glaze is nicely variegated- study photos to get the feel and look of this relatively heavy piece(for its size) Does not appear to be missing a lid- the way the opening was made, I do not believe this ever had a lid, at least not a ceramic one that would have been incorporated into the clay design when the piece was hand thrown. Looks like this crock could originate from the Catawba Valley Pottery, but just my opinion. Glaze& form reminds me a little bit of Pewabic Pottery pieces, but not iridescent. Not much wear given its age- glaze has rubbed off in a few small spots around the rim(see photo) but no serious chips or cracks. Bottom is unmarked. All sales are final- no returns. This is a beautiful lidded crock. It would work as a cookie jar or a canister or whatever you wanted to put in it. It is in excellent condition. It looks like it has never been used. It is 8.75 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter. It has a beautiful design of flowers all around the top part of the jar. It was made by Casey Pottery in Marshall. Texas USA. There are no chips, cracks or flea bites. I love the cobalt blue flowers and trim around the jar. It is a very nice piece.

This crock is simple in design, with two horizontal lines running along its circumference, and a natural, speckled finish. This crock stands 7 inches tall, is 8 inches across the mouth, and has a 23-inch circumference. It weighs 4 pounds, 6 ounces, and has the Zanesville Stoneware mark on its bottom. Offered is a very early North Carolina pottery crock from the Catawba Valley area of North Carolina. It is in very good condition aside from a hairline crack on the inside glazed area which does not extend through the actual pottery. It cannot be seen from the outside of the crock. There is a smaller. Thinner hairline crack i n the exteri or glaze that partially shows on the inside. There are age appropriate rough places. Inconsisten cies. And pockmarks in the glaz e. The gla ze is a khaki tan on the outside. The inside is glaze d in a deep brown. The top rim area is unglazed. The crock is ver y thick. The top wall measures almost 1/2" It measures 6 1/2" tall. Antique ES&B Stoneware Hayner Lock Box 290 Whiskey Jug / Crock
This old Stoneware Hayner Whiskey Jug has been sitting in my father’s basement for at least the last 55+ years and was covered in dust and as you can see by the pictures it has not been cleaned. Other than the dirt the jug is in great condition with no cracks. Chips or repairs. It measures about 11 inches tall and is 6 5/8 inches in diameter at the base. The front reads HAYNER LOCKBOX 290 DAYTON OHIO and it has ES&B in raised letters on the bottom. 1920 brought in the beginning of Prohibition and the end of the Hayner Distilling Company and their Mail Order Whiskey business. The crock for sale here is in excellent condition. The outside and inside are shinny with few. If any, scratches. The outside has a few small marks w here metal has rubbed off onto the crock. Leavin g a dark line. Which I believe can be cleaned off using the right metho d. The basket is in great shape. With no dents or anything like that. It is only the fin ish of the basket that has a few fl aws. The flaws being the finish in places is marred. As can be seen in the forth picture(center, one third down) But with the side of the basket, as seen in the first picture, being in better sha pe. That would be the side to display. Gorgeous Stangl pottery Yellow Tulip bean crock or cookie jar. Bottom is marked Stangl Trenton NJ- pattern name is not printed on bottom. I am not sure if this indicates that it is an older piece. But I believe that it is. The rim of the lid has a small amount of paint missing and on close inspection, I noticed a flea bite/glaze repair on the lid(see photos) hardly noticeable and it does not take away from the beauty of this piece. Western Stoneware Tan & Navy Bean Pot Crock- Monmouth
This is a big heavy sturdy bean pot or crock from Western Stoneware Company. It is a tan natural unglazed pottery on outside and it has a rough feel to it. It is porous because it is unglazed so it will show signs of staining. This one doesn't have much staining but you can see in the photo if the bottom it is hard to get off. Interior is glazed and a dark navy or cobalt and looks good. Lid underneath rim has a small chip out of it as shown in picture. Chip barely shows when lid is on pot.Bottom of pot base ring is bumpy and has a couple of tiny chips( i think) but they feel smoothed down. The words are a bit hard to read, especially in my picture of it(sorry about that) but it's obvious that it is a Monmouth piece. It's in great shape, with no cracking, chipping, glaze wear or crazing. It's almost 5 1/2" tall, 4" deep, and the mouth is 4 3/4" across from the outer edge.

Red Wing Crock- this crock is a replica of a 25 gallon crock and was made in a limited quantity of 700 for the Fontanelle. Iowa Sesquicentennial in 2005. It is a candy crock and measures 4 1/2" high and 4" around the rim. There are no chips or cracks, it is in mint condition- you are getting it directly from the original box! ANTIQUE REVIGATOR HOME WATER TREATMENT CROCK ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Description: The Radium Ore Revigator was a pseudoscientific medical device consisting of a ceramic water crock lined with radioactive materials. It was patented in 1912 by R. W. Thomas. And manufactured by the Radium Ore Revigator Co. Which sold thousands of the devices in the 1920s and'30s. The Revigator was intended to be filled with water overnight. Which would be irradiated by the uranium and radium in the liner. And then consumed the next day. This was marketed as a healthy practice which could prevent illnesses including arthritis. Flatulence, and senility. The Revigator contained carnotite K2(UO2)2(VO4)2·3H2O. Water stored overnight in a vintage Revigator was analyzed by ICP/MS and radiation detectors. Although the water contained ... morehigher levels of radon. The health risk from radiation was low. But the water also contained arsenic. Lead, vanadium, and uranium. The original soft rubber‘feet’ are missing. It has the original spout has been removed and packed separately for shipping. I cannot verify how well the spout works as I have not used it for water storage. You may need to replace the rubber gaskets around the spout. These are available at any local hardware store. Interior: The carnotite lining is badly corroded and/or mostly removed. Some of it is powdered and/or flaky and resting in the bottom. I’ve photographed the inside as best I can to give you an idea. In 2 of the photos of the inside you can see a small hole with light pouring through. this is the hole where the spo ut was removed for shipping and where you wil l re-attach it. There is a round peg shaped feature about 1/2 x 1/2 inch sticking up from the bottom of the inside of the unit(might have stabilized the original carnotite li
