RARE White's Of Utica NY Stoneware Crock/Jar ~ MALTED BEEF ~ WITH LID ~ L@@K!
Here you are looking at a very rare antique estate find. It is a great Malted Beef jar that from research I have concluded was made by White's of Utica NY. It is shaped like a sheaf of wheat with a great blue cows head on both sides. It is labelled"Malted Beef" on both sides as well. What sets this apart is the lid. It is NEVER included but I have it! It is original to the piece. The condition is very good except for a hairline that is running up the side. It is hardly noticeable and is around 3 inches long. The height of the jar is 6 3/4 inches with the lid on it. You will most likely never see this with the lid ever again so bid now! Please look at the pictures for more details. This piece is 9 1/2" tall. 5 1/2" in diameter at the base and 4 7/8" in diameter at the top(from insise rim to inside rim) There are a few chips along the rim and the appear to be Georgia Clay. Presented for auction is a great little. 1 LB, Advertising Butter Crock with a trade mark logo. It reads in dark blue lettering: From Country To You" MAPLE LEAF FARM PRODUCTS COMPANY. CHICAGO. Inside the leaf logo it reads: MAPLE LEAF BRAND BUTTER; and under the logo it reads: Trade Mark Reg. The crock is approx. 4 5/8" diameter and 2 3/4" high. This little butter crock is in exceptional condition with no chips. Cracks, crazing or repairs. It has a tiny factory glaze pop where the glaze meets the unglazed lip. This butter crock is unsigned as to the maker, but it appears to be the Western Stoneware Company by an incised mark on the bottom. The mark is: C-1 LB" which is one of the standard designations that the Western Stoneware Company used. I would estimate this crock to be from the 1920's or 1930's. Never responded to my emails, and did not respond to ebays reminder to pay. This will be the last time it will be listed, and I lowered the set in price so it will sell. It is an early brown saltglaze sewer tile stoneware storage jar crock that I believe may be a piece of Texas stoneware pottery. You will probably be able to determine if it is a piece of Texas stoneware when you view the pictures. Tan clay color is showing on the unglazed bottom and you can see on the inside that it is a piece of hand turned hand thrown stoneware. Top sides slant outward so it could be covered with a tied on piece ... moreof cloth, and it was probably used for pickle storage. Great colors with some lighter colors in the glaze on one side and nice bumpy saltglaze finish. There are a couple of shallow chips on the edges of the rim and it has some visible manufacturing flaws that are typical on early utilitarian stoneware. The top is slightly warped being a little bit taller on one side and lower on the other side. There are no other chips except for the ones on the top, and no cracks or repairs. It is a very clean piece with no film or residue. Measures 7 1/4 inches tall by 4 3/4 inches wide at the top. What we have for auction is a antique salt glazed crock. This crock is a rare pattern open rose. Light blue in color rough texture excellent condition no chips or cracks. Very few flaws but there is firing flaws. It stands approximately 6" high and 7 1/2" across it measures approximately 24" around the middle. No markings I can find and it has no lid.

This bid is for a ceramic finished. Salt glazed crock, 2 gallon, Western Stoneware Co. made by the Monmouth Pottery Company which started working in Monmouth, Illinois, in 1892. The pottery made a variety of utilitarian wares. It became part of Western Stoneware Company in 1906. The maple leaf mark was used until 1930. If Co. appears as part of the mark. The piece was made before 1906. This crock is in good condition, without cracks or chips no repairs. The measurements of this crock are as follows: 8" inside diameter. 8 3/4" deep inside. This bean pot is embossed McCoy 342 USA Ovenproof on the bottom. It is in good condition. Lightly used. There is a rough spot, see the 8th picture. I wouldn't call it a chip because there isn't a piece missing, more like a spot that has been rubbed against. It holds 10 cups when full. It measures 7" high and 10" across from handle to handle. For sale is an Antique Pickle or Kraut Jug 4/5 Gallon with a Wide Mouth. This is a piece of North Carolina Stoneware circa 1900 made for domestic use. The jug is 8" tall and 5.75" in diameter at the base. It is 2.75" at the opening. The jug is in good antique condition with no real chips and only manufacturing flaws and related ageing defects. The jug still holds water. There are markings on the base but they are indistinguishable either from wear or age. Please examine the photos carefully. Illinois. This Blue Ribbon Brand crock has an abstract design of blue flowers and black lines. It is 6 3/8 inches in diameter at the rim and 3 1/8 inches tall. This crock is in very good condition. Especially for its age! There are no cracks, scratches, crazing, stains or major chips. The glaze is glossy, with no clouding or scuffing. There is one smaller chip on the bottom, along the outer edge of the base. There is also a white glaze mark on the bottom and a glazing defect on the side opposite the design. It is probably German or Dutch but I can’t say for sure. It can hold ½ a gallon so it is not too big or small, just right. A vintage stoneware crock that advertises Buchan's Carbolic Disinfecting Soap. There is an image of a boy and girl bathing a dog and the wording reads"The Best Dog Soap in the World. The crock has two dog ear handles. A opening in the front has a cork/wooden spout in it. The crock measures approx. 12.5"h x 7.5"dia. Vintage 2 Quart Bean Pot Crock Ransbottom? Marked U.S.A. Blue Crown
This is possibly a vintage Ransbottom one handle bean pot. There are cracks or significant chips in this piece. Although if you look at pic#6 you can see a large chip out of the lid's underside. A small portion of this chip is seen from the topside. The lid also seems to have a hairline crack as if it's been glued together at one time. In picture#1 you can see a speck of white. But it's glazed over as if that spot never recieved the dark stain when made, I don't believe it's a chip. The pot is tagged with a blue crown and 2 qt. symbol. There is a small dot of dark green under the glaze(see pic#8) Overall the pot is in very good vintage condition. Measuring at about 6 1/2" tall and 4 3/4" across the rim. Mississippi State Dairy Science Department Cheese/Butter Crock
You are looking at a Mississippi State University Dairy Science Department butter/cheese crock with a bale latch. It measures 4 1/4 inches high and are 4 1/4 inches across.There is one small chip on the very bottom of the crock and a couple of imperfections in the lid.they are not chips but divets done in manufacturing.
