It has a label that reads'MANUFACTURED FOR NAVAL CLOTHING DEPOT' and a line for a name. Service# Contract# and Size. I am showing pictures of them. It also has a Western Costume Company label. This dress was worn in MANY WWII movies! The Uniform dress is done in a white cotton with a high V'd neckline. Collar and small pointed lapels. It buttons down the front to the waist with 4 buttons; 2 buttons on the waistband and 2 buttons below the waist. The buttons are the original ones- I believe they are bakelite. But I am not sure. The long sleeves have folded cuffs with double buttonholes but no extra buttons or cufflinks. This Uniform Dress ... moreis in the same condition it was in when it came off of the set. It is in very good condition considering it is around 70 years old! Please keep in mind the age of this dress! There is very light discoloration across the shoulders and the collar due to being hung under the lights. The uniform measures approximately a 32"34" bust; 24" waist; 19 1/2" from shoulder seam to wrist; 14 1/2"14 3/4" across the back shoulders and 42" from back neckline to hem. A very collectable. 4 ANTIQUE MEXICAN SILVER OAXACA Older Filigree Designed Round BUTTONS Mexico
This auction is for a group of 4 older Mexican silver buttons. They were made like the Oaxaca style of filigree designed jewelry. The silver loop shanks are soldered on and in very good condition. The buttons are all slightly different. Since they were all hand made. Each button measures approximately 1 1/8" in diameter(28 mm) All of the buttons are stamped Mexico Silver. Although the stamping is doubled and not complete on a couple of the buttons(see photos) They are all in very good antique condition with some slight tarnishing. I have not tried to clean or polish them. They came from an estate in Tucson. Arizona. Please view my other auctions for more collectibles and antiques. This field jacket/shirt is really in like-new condition. Showing little if any sign of use. It does not say marines, but came to me with a group of marine clothing. It measures 21" from armpit to armpit, 19" from armpit to end of sleeve, 15 1/2" from armpit to bottom of shirt and 29" from top to bottom. The size says medium regular. This is a nice group of two old Chinese carved jade buttons. Jade ranges in color from white brown to pale green. Natural inclusions and veins are visible through the light. The buttons have incised details on one side while the back side is smooth. The large one is a butterfly. The small is two boys at play. Condition: Nice old polish. There are hairlines and nicks.
