Information from another ebay seller states that these were given as an Honorable Discharge Button during WWII or during the WWII era(I'm not sure) The eagle span is about 11/16" These buttons are a bit different from each other. The sexiest shirts for 2013 are white with button-down dollars and French cuffs for interesting cuff links. These dramatic vintage cuff links will be the perfect accent for those shirts and others. They have large(over 1" across) faux mother of pearl insets in multipronged goldtone frames. It's difficult to see from the photos. But the surfaces of the pearlized insets are smooth and shiny; they have iridescent swirls that resemble mother of pearl. These cuff links come from 1957 and are quite rare. They were made by Sarah Coventry. Who made earrings with the same name and design, which are seen more often. This pair of cuff ... morelinks appears to have never been worn; in fact. They may never have been off of the card, which identifies them by name as Beauty Buttons and by item number 5922. The card also says"Jewels by Sarah Coventry. The cuff links come in the original plastic box. Which has aged. The cuff links themselves are not signed, which is common for Sarah Coventry items before 1960, but they are on the original card, which identifies them. This is a beautiful pair of spurs. Made by Jess Hodges. These spurs are Silver mounted"Lady Leg" spurs. The shank is shaped like a lady's leg. These are RARE. Jess Hodges was born in 1869 or 1870. He lived in Fort McKavett, Texas. He did not stamp his spurs. He died in 1953. These spurs have a 7/16" band, 2" lady leg shanks with 6 point 1" rowels. The heel opening is 3" and the buttons are silver 5/8" hearts. Attached is a pair of great old leather straps hand tooled with the basket weave pattern, and wide metatarsils. These 9 pieces were never set, never used, are all in excellent, excellent condition. They are AMAZING in person, so much detail, truly cannot appreciate unless you see them up close. Miniature works of fine antique art. Normally, from what I have found, these are used in a variety of ways, including jewelry, trinket boxes, and buttons. The largest piece is circular in shape, she appears like she'd be the button sized. They measure 5/8" in diameter and all are in excellent condition with obvious wear as shown in the photos. No dents or cracks. This is a lot of 36 Antique/Vintage Black Buttons. We are not experts and are trying to describe to the best of our ability. Thirty-one(31) buttons are tiny black seed buttons strung on wire and wrapped over a thin black fabric onto a wooden button. There are(10) 1 1/8 inch; 20) 5/8 inch and one(1) 3/8 inch round ball button. They look very old. Most are in very good condition for their age. But a couple have the wired beads coming undone. I left these in the lot for extras to use for restringing and to see the construction of the buttons. They would look best on period costumes, coats, reenactments. We have five black fabric buttons.
