We believe the tune is Kaiser Waltzer Swiss Musical Movement. This clock is from 1976 and has a Regula Brass Mechanical Movement marked 25-76. The bellows work great. This is a beautiful Black Forest hunter cuckoo clock. It is probably an 8 day clock but I am not sure. It has two doors. One with a cuckooo bird and one with a sitting man. When his door opens it plays the Weigenlied Brahms(lulluby and goodnight) The clock keeps very good time but the cuckoos don't engage. When the little man is opened manually he comes out and the song plays then he goes in and door closes. The cucko engages when the string is pulled. The clock is disassembled for storage and shipping. The dial has some shiney spots where the numbers were glued on. One antler shows it's been glued. The back side of the carved hunting frame also shows signs of repair. The beautiful blonde wood was beautifully carved. The works were made in Germany- US Zone which dates it 1945-1949. It appears to be complete and ran for a while on my wall, but I had no way of making it level. It has a beautiful hand carved village design on the front with four everygreen trees and a deer. The only flaw that I can see if there is a small chip of wood missing from the pendelum. It is complete with chains and weights.

This stuningly beautiful. Hand crafted Schneider Hunters clock works and keeps time fantastically! The only imperfection is that I'm sure the antlers ore not original. Someone tried to glue replacement, wich are broken antlers in the large(topper) stags head. Some glue is on the head, and the broken replacement antler stubs are glued on. I bought it from a local shop like that. Other thah that, and a copple white paint sponts on the bach door, This would be a perfect clock. This is a very large German Black Forest Cuckoo Clock. With dancers and music. If the pendelum is included, it is well over 30 inches tall, without the pendelum, from the top of the deer antlers to the bottom of the design, it is 29 1/2 inches. It is 17 1/2 inches wide from the rifle butts, and 14 1/2 inches deep from the back to the deer's nose. Everything is in working condition, the dancers rotate, the music plays and the little cuckoo comes out and does his thing. The music player is by Reuge and plays"Edelweiss" Please note that one of the weights has a piece of wire rather than a hole to hang it on the chain. There is an on-off switch for the cuckoo. Antique Black Forest Style Hand Carved Wall Shelf
I am breaking up my collection of hand carved wall shelves. Moved into smaller place and don't have room. I have collected these over the years at Estate Sales. Ebay purchases, antique auctions, etc. I do not know the origin, but suspect it was carved in Switzerland or Germany around the turn of the century. It is in good condition and has only one small chip on the top of the shelf against the wall, so it is not seen. Dimensions: shelf 12" x 7" and height is 12" Carving of the bird and branches is in great detail. A real work of art that you don't see anymore. To reduce risk of breakage in shipment, I will detach the shelf(three screws) from the body of the shelf.

RARE Antique Black Forest University of Texas Longhorn Cuckoo Clock ESTATE, This listing is for a large. Beautiful, working, vintage German cuckoo clock that belonged to my grandfather, H.J. Lutcher Stark of Texas. He not only graduated from the University of Texas in 1910 but was credited with naming the Longhorns. He served on the Board of Regents for 24 years, serving as chairman for 12 years. The diameter of the clock face is 6" As you can tell from the pictures of this rare clock, a longhorn replaced the original stag at the top of the clock. The clock is made of solid wood and has beautiful carving detail. The pendulum has the rounded branch over the leaf. The clock tick-tocks and the cuckoo comes out on the hour and the half-hour. It has a mechanical brass movement. The clock measures approximately 25" from the top of the ... moreclock(Not the longhorn) to the bottom of the pendulum. The clock is made from cured and aged Linden wood and is designed to look very much like an old wooden chalet home like some you can still find in the mountains of the Black Forest. The front of the case is lavished with lots of colorful flowers that look a lot like Edelweiss. There is a heart shaped, handpainted vine on the lower part in front and another above the windows near the top. There are two wooden ledges on the case; one on either side of the dial. ... moreEach has colorful accents that look like a flower garden and serve as convenient key storage too. There is a wooden balcony near the top as well and it covers the front and sides of the case. There are red supports under the balcony in front and the roof has wooden timbers and simulated boulders on it like they used to use to keep the roof on during inclimate weather. There is a colorful blue bird above the dial. The bird is connected to the movement inside the case and actually moves back and forth as time ticks away; fascinating! The metal dial has a golden center and features a black backdrop on the outer ring. There are raised silvertone arabic numerals to mark the hours and fancy white hands to point out the time. There are four metal chains attached in front and two have faux pinecone shaped weights on the ends. The chains and weights are for decorative purposes only and have no bearing on the clock operation; nice touch, though! The back has a brass metal cover over the movement and slides open to allow access to the key wind mechanical movement. This item up for bid is a BEAUTIFUL EARLY 1950'S GERMAN MADE 1 DAY(30 HR) HUNTER STYLE CUCKOO CLOCK with a stag(deer) on the top with TWO LOVE BIRDS. I think it was made in the Black Forest according to other pictures I have seen but not sure of that. This clock has been gone over by a clock person and is in great working condition and keeps good time. As you can see in the pictures there is some damage to two of the flowers and damage on the top right hand side by the stag. However this would still make a great addition to your collection.The clock cuckoos on the hr and birds kiss on the 1/2 hour. Welcome! Up for Auction is an adorable Vintage Black Forest wall clock. let me say that I am NOT a clock expert. Please use the photos for the best descriptions. It works very nicely. It has a three hundred and twenty gram weight which I feel is too heavy. Like I said I'm not an expert maybe there's a way to adjust it but it did run fast. There is no attachment between the clock movement and the people. The directions say to adjust either the man or the woman outside the door depending on whether the weather is dry or wet.Maybe that is what controls the speed. This clock is in very nice condition. The only flaw I found in it was at the peak of the roof there is a spot where the paint is chipped off. Also the two pieces of the roof were not on the clock. I used a hot glue gun to attach them so they can be easily removed and repositioned. ... moreI think there is supposed to be another piece of wood on the bottom of the compartment that the movement is in. The center is cut out and shaped like a heart and the surface of the back is intricately carved in high relief. It is carved from pine and it has a beautiful walnut colored patina. The legs are also intricately carved fluted legs. There is an old hand written label remnant on the underside of the seat the gives a name. Date, and town in Alsace, France. From the floor to the top of the back, it measures 35" high, the seat is 17" high from floor to seat. The whole items is hand carved in a rustic style to make it fit into a hunting chalet. It is carved from oak which is unusual for Brienz carvings so it makes this plant stand very rare. The whole item is carved to simulate a forest setting. Giving the legs twig and branch like decor and the central stand is made to look like a tree trunk. The planter itself is also outlined in twig like carvings in an Art Nouveau shape.
