This China Cabinet is Item#2593 from Baker's Historic Charleston Collection. Baker's catalog describes it as"Adapted from a late nineteenth century cabinet located in the Charleston Museum. This bowfront mahogany china cabinet features glazed paneled upper doors and veneered solid paneled lower doors with applied moldings. Dentil moldings decorate the frieze on the cornice with a gouge-work panel on the base. This item was purchased in 1993 from Glabman's Interiors. An authorized Baker retailer, located in West Los Angeles. It is lighted and in excellent condition with the original key. The bottom of the door at the base does not fit tightly in the metal closure as shown. The dimensions of the cabinet in total. This table features a gorgeous parquet top with gold and white legs and apron in a Hollywood Regency style. The table dates back to the 1960's and belongs to a friend of mine whose mother bought it new in the 60's. The table measures 25" square x 21.75" high and the Baker nameplate is attached under the table top. This end table is in excellent overall condition with a few dings on the legs(see pics#6-9 for close-ups) and the top is in excellent condition as well. It was covered with glass to protect the top for most of it's life however expect a few light scratches and dings as the finish is original. I have a gorgeous Vintage Baker Furniture Coffee Table that I picked up from a hi-end estate sale. This table is solid burled maple( I believe) and has an inlaid pattern going around the perimeter of the table top as pictured. There may be some faint scratches from use over the years and there is a couple of wear marks to the veneer on the lip of the table. REMEMBER this is a vintage table that has been gently used. You will find nicks and wear marks on pre-owned furniture no matter how careful the previous owner was. The table has brass end caps on the legs and has carved woodwork all over the table. A gorgeous 3 tiered table by Baker Furniture circa 1950s. The table has ebonized 3 shelves with 4 beautiful sculpted legs that have a horn shaped foot legs are accented with gold rings and knobs. The table can be used for many different purposes a simple entry table display a bar or sofa table. The table is in good vintage condition has age appropriate wear. This table features a beautiful inlaid parquet pattern. Please note that the pictures show the table duller in color than it actually is due to some glare. The table is from the late 70s as there is writing on the bottom that says a previous owners name and the year 1979. The model number on this is 6615 and unfortunately we were unable to obtain any data on the name of that line. The table measures approximately 34" square and is 16" tall. Beautiful Baker Furniture Burl Wood Veneer Top Round Occasional Table
This is a beautiful burl wood veneer Queen Anne style small round table. The size of the table is 16 inches across by 20.5 inches tall. The table was well cared for and is in very nice condition. There is a tiny bit of wear to a few spots in the finish on the top but so small not sure it shows in the pictures. Age I am not sure about. Vintage 1950's Baker Furniture Aged Brass Etagere Mid Century Hollywood Regency
This is a gorgeous high quality American made Etagere believed to be manufactured by Baker Furniture. It is unsigned but was with other Baker Furniture also with aged brass finish. It is solid brass with ornate finials(top and bottom) and bare beveled/polished edge removable glass shelves. The glass shelves are very thick and very heavy. Condition is excellent all around. With very mild wear and one small chip on the underside of a glass shelf(shown as the bottom shelf but shelf could be moved) there is also a tiny 1/2mm bubble inside one panel toward the back edge but it does not photograph well. The etagere is 7 feet tall, 34" wide and 13.5" deep. It is held together with internal truss rods and my plan is to disassemble it so shipping will be possible and safe. Vintage William and Mary Style Chest from The Collectors Edition by BAKER FURNITURE c1970 The makers original paper tag still affixed to the inside of one drawer reads: Simple restrained lines and rich French Walnut burls accented with brass Baroque drawer pulls mark this five drawer chest as a pleasing example of the William and Mary period. Reproduced from an English original circa 1695. Its drawers and top are rendered in Walnut burls with fine banding and inlays. I can't put it any better than that. This absolutely elegant and fine piece is in excellent condition structurally. But there are minor nicks to the finish on the drawer fronts and significant loss of finish to the top. A very handsome Baker Furniture. George II Styled, English Walnut Two-Piece Secretary. Circa late 1960s to 1970s This is a very well made and substantial piece of furniture with dovetail drawers and pull out support bars for the drop down desk. The interior writing surface has a pristine leather top. There are three adjustable shelves on the upper section and the inside is fitted with four drawers and a cubby. The lower section has two large and two small drawers. The upper section has veined mirror facings. There are three removable finials at the top. English Walnut and Walnut veneers are primary with oak as a secondary wood. The upper section has the lock removed and is available. The keys are missing for this piece. The drawer pulls are brass. The Baker Furniture label can be seen on the interior of a drawer photograph. There are no chips ... moreor dents to this piece.
