Here is a stunning and vintage Art Deco Gerdago pixie lady lamp with alabaster dome shade and streamlined metal columns from San Francisco Estate. Circa 1930's. She is exquisite! This wonderful deco lady is dressed in a red dancing outfit. She has a celluloid face, and she is dancing in a gazebo with three metal columns, alabaster base, and alabaster dome shaped shade. The deco lady is made of some kind of metal with a bright red painted finish- a magnet will not stick to her. The overall measurement of the lamp is 14-1/2" tall and 7" wide. There are no signatures or manufacture marks that we could find, but it is quality. The condition is amazingly very good- shows wear but no chips, breaks, or repairs. This is a vintage bed headboard reading lamp with a pink glass herringbone shade and metal ends. It is in a metal frame with hooks that fit over the top of a headboard so the lamp is over your head. It measures 11" long and the glass shade is 2" square. The glass is in very good condition with no chips or cracks and the lamp works. The glass and frame are all original but the cord has been replaced with a new one for safety. The lamp dates to the 1930's- 40's era.

The shade is in opaque white opaline glass. It comes with its original geometric ceramic mount. With unusual star-shaped styling. The shade fits snugly into the ceramic base and is secured with three screws. The base is pierced in order for it to be screwed flush to the ceiling. There is also a groove to one side of the mount. So it could be wired for use as a lamp. I have left the original bayonet bulb socket in in the photo. But I will remove this before sending, unless I hear otherwise. Apparently hot- or lamp-worked glass with every hallmark of Bimini/ Lauscha(although I am no expert on this matter) The vase is cased in clear which is quite thick at the foot but vanishingly thin at the fluted rim. It shows every mark of being handmade- standing ever so slightly off-true. Its shape is very typically Art Deco in a baluster form.

CARION and SCHNEIDER : RARE FRENCH 1925 ART DECO LAMP ... wrought iron
CARION- SCHNEIDER A high quality wrought iron art deco lamp by François CARION the famous Brussels based belgian blacksmith(1884- The forged iron base in an exceptional shape is signed F.Carion and holds a large Schneider signed shade in orange mottled glass paste. An authentic lamp that can be dated around 1925. It is in superb condition. 34.6 cm high(13-5/8" The Schneider shade has a diameter of 18.9cm(7-7/16" and a height of 15,9cm. On one of the pictures I show it next to a regular size schneider shade to give you an idea of the proportions. Of coarse the small shade is no part of the auction. The lamp is rewired with new rayon covered twisted cord and it holds its old european E14 socket. For the US I will wire the lamp with a US candelabra base socket and US 2-prong plug. The base is numbered 14290. Often sellers or collectors ... morethink these numbers on the iron of Carion refer to models in a catalogue. But it´s not the case. I have had several times identical Carion pieces with different numbers and once I had two different items with the same number. I have original invoices showing that they refer to order numbers. Sometimes we also find the word'belgium' on his iron. These pieces were made for export and I've seen this mark mainly on items I found in the USA. Carion either used belgian made shades in cheap thin pressed glass or the more luxerous glass paste shades he ordered in France at the glass manufactory of Charles Schneider. At the end of the ad I've added a slideshow with other Carion pieces I've had and ones that are in my private collection. François Carion The revival of wrought iron by the beginning of the 20th century was not in the last place caused by the inventions of new techniques develloped by blacksmiths like Edgard Brandt and others. You do not have to use the lamp but I am selling it all as one unit. I have use and lit the bulb only a handful of times. I cherished it for it's beauty. The bulb itself has a regular normal size screw in base and really can be used in any standard lamp of your choice.
