Beautiful antique achitectural piece of carved wood. Nice to hang above a mirror or door. Made of solid wood. Carved"grapes? in the center of Icanthus leaves. Measures 10 1/2" wide. 3" tall and 1 1/4" thick. This piece has an old hanging wire on the back if you wish to hang it on a wall. Could hang with grapes pointing up or hanging down. Nicely carved. Thanks for looking. This is an antique window frame measuring 29 inches wide at its base and about 46 inches tall. I was told that it was taken from an old barn. Built about a hundred years ago. No glass on this, just the frame, but it is in fairly solid condition. The outside dimensions are 29" x 15" x 2" while the window portion measures 24" x 11" The pattern is diamond shaped with vines swirling through it. The painted brown outside portion is crackled while the inside is bare wood. The window frame has one side measuring 1 1/2" high and the other 2 7/8" The wood was sanded on one side and there is no decayed or rotting wood. The etching is all intact with no chips or cracks. U. There is still small amount of cement in the back of one and the cut support brackets, seen in both. Both corbels are in magnificent shape. BEAUTIFUL SET OF ASIAN CHINESE WOOD LATTICE SCREEN CORBELS ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE
These are Chinese handmade(mortise and tenon) lattice screen corbels. The corbels have signs of use/wear. But are in really good condition with a medium reddish brown mahogany finish. NOTE- One side of each corbel is weathered due to sun exposure. And the other is not as weathered due to less/no sun exposure. The corbels measure 24 1/2" long X 14 1/2" wide X 3 1/4" thick. Antique Cupala Barn Topper Architectural Salvage Industrial Decor Repurpose
Up for auction is a head turner. It is an antique metal Cupala. It has such a cool look to it, it has a spike on the top(and one on the side) which may have served as a lighting rod point, to to keep birds off, and a great gazebo type design with bent metal ripples around the top. It has a perfect patina. It measures about 23 inches tall, so it is not a beast like some Cupalas, the inside looks like it has a damper in it that opens and closes. STAINED GLASS WINDOW FROM CHURCH ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE FROM CHURCH Totally complete and intact stained glass window from a church. Dimensions: 39' horizontal; 36' top peak to bottom; and wood frame 2' thick. Stained glass is all original. 100% and in fantastic shape. Wood frame was bolstered with a metal bracket on the reverse. Wood was scraped but not stripped, I'll leave it to the buyer to strip/stain the frame anyway they want. There are some very minor repairs to the lead pieces that hold it together(I believe you call those repairs"braising" This was done recently and I took an'up close' photo to show it. I attended an estate sale about 8 years ago in Little Rock. Arkansas. It was the estate of a lady who had been a very successful home decorator in the 1960's and early 70's. We bought the contents of her outside storage building and these were in that storage area. I have held onto them all these years. Trying to figure out what in the world they were. Someone told me yesterday that she believes they are the molds that you would use to press into the plaster or clay. Then when this is dry. this would then create the mold that you would pour the plaster into. I hope that makes sense and I hope that is truly what this is. Anyway. this person said she believes they are vintage. If not antique. But I will leave that for the bidder to determine. The largest one measures about 8" x 6.5" They are made of some sort of galvanized ... moremetal/tin. There are 4 of each design. They are fairly heavy. weighing about 2.5 pounds(all together) Condition is very good. no breaks or holes in the metal. But they do have some remnants of dried plaster(or some kind of dried substance) I have not tried to clean. I am just selling as is. Antique DRAWER PULLS & ESCUTCHEONS - Architectural Salvage - NICE BIG LOT!
Whenever we see old antique knobs or hardware or drawer pulls we always try to rescue them! This is a miscellaneous lot of what we call Architectural Salvage. an assortment of drawer pulls and escutcheons. The big ovals in front measure 5-1/2 inches across and their two screw holes on the back measure 4-3/8 inches on center. Next there are 3 pretty"rosette" escutcheon pieces that measure 2-1/4 inches across. They have a little hole for attaching a drawer pull. There are 6 drawer pulls and 8 separate little round escutcheons and there is one odd dangle type pull that is pretty crusty and needs cleaned. It has an interesting design on it. Antique Gilt CARVED WOOD Furniture Post ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE French China Gold
Old Gold This is a beautiful lot of very old carved wood posts with rich gilding. These are just gorgeous- could be French or Italian. Possibly Chinese- with dogwood-type blossoms and crosshatching. I don't see any sign of gesso; these appear to be all hand-carved. This set was clearly once part of something larger. Perhaps a chest or cabinet. All five posts have a backside where joints were made. Four are the same size at 21 3/8" long, the fifth is 15 5/8" long. All are about 1 1/2" in diameter. The quality of the carving is wonderful, and they are in good(though not perfect) condition, with a few nicks and losses here and there. This column has been hand-carved out of a single piece of stone resembling an ancient column found in Greek or Roman Temples. The work dates back to the late 1990's. Vtg 20th C Cast Figural Architectural Corbel Mask From Historic Home-Salvage
Presented for your consideration: A Vintage Cast Figural Architectural Corbel The woman that I purchased this piece from got it from an old home in our cities historic district. This piece dates to the mid 20th century. And is made of an early cast foam material(which was first produced in the early 1940's and later became known as styrofoam/polystyrene. This material is much more pourous than modern styro) as well as some wood based composite materials. It is light weight for its size, and measures 32" long, 17" wide, and 10" deep. You can tell that this piece has some age to it by examining the backside, as well as noting the age cracks and weathering under the gold paint. Pair of Vintage exterior fanned pediment architectural salvage
Here are a couple of Vintage fanned pediments that could be used for exterior decor above doors or for any creative idea. They each measure roughly 70" long by 20" tall by 3" thick. They are in decent shape except for a couple of cracks(picture 7) These are easily repaired and then with a couple coats of fresh paint they are gone. The chips are on the back of one of them(pictures 5&6) and should not affect them as your casings. Mouldings and siding will hide them.
