The top has an arched panel of glass with recessed traingular panels at the upper corners. There are 3 panels at the bottom with Gothic tracery. The hinges are intact as is the door handle. It had no mortice lock or knob originally. But can be added. The front and back are the same. It is from Ruffin Nichols Memorial African Methodist Church as seen on the TV show"Abandoned" They measure 40.25 inches wide by 83.25 inches tall and is 1 and 3/8 inches thick. These gates were used to protect the cellar windows on a Victorian home in Philadelphia. They have curlicues at the top and bottom. They bow out in the center and are accented by a row of 6 iron flowers. None of them are missing or broken. On the back. At each end, there is a"C" shape with a curl at top and bottom. The window gates are in very good condition overall. They have mostly yellow chippy paint on the front. Antique Wood Column Architectural salvage , Floral Detail, 1 of 2~ 5ft tall
Hi for sale I have two Antique architectural salvaged wood carved porch Columns or pilllars. I believe the wood is pine. They are painted white and have a chippy patina. The columns were split in 1/2. They make great wall hangings. With a flat back they can rest or be hung on a wall. For a wall hanging. In the past I have hung pitcher hooks and wire to attach to a wall. The upper column top could be used as a small shelf. They have a nice floral design at the top. Local pick up is always welcome. Antique Vintage Victorian Wood Architectural Corbels Lot of 7 Matching salvage
This auction is for a lot of seven(7) matching antique vintage victorian wooden architectural corbels. They were original pieces removed from our 1896 Victorian home as part of a remodeling project. Each one measures approximately 7.5" deep x 3.5" wide x 16.5" tall. They were painted a long time ago but the paint could be stripped or painted over. A couple of them are still attached to small portions of the underside of the small roof area where they were mounted above the bay window(see photos) 2 of the 7 were broken during removal. But the breaks are clean and you'd never be able to tell the difference between them and the other 5 when re-installed. They could easily just be wood-glued and the crack would disappear. I tried to show these breaks in the photos, with examples of each one apart and then held together. It dates from the early 1900's around 1910. It is a heavy large cast iron wall sconce with a sol id copper fitter for a lamp shade. Unfortunately it has not survived very well over the last 100 years and is in serious need of refurbishing. It does not come with a socket however one could easily be added. There are also 2 thum b screws missing which were meant to hold the shade. There is a hole in the back of the sconce where it meets the wall for wires to run through. What you see is what you get. Vintage 1960's Electric Light Garage Patio Lamp (3) Globes Architectural Salvage
This vintage electric light is a cool piece of architectural salvage that the homeowner said was from the 1960's. The fixture is metal and is painted brown; it has mounting holes and would be hard-wired to operate from a switch. The attached globe is thick. Clear glass with a nice design. This light also comes with two additional glass globes that likely came from other lights, but they seem to fit this one as well. Available here is an antique wall panel made of an exotic cut of mahogany or possibly rosewood. This is SOLID wood. Not veneer! This kind of thing is just not available anymore. This listing is for one panel. Although we have five of these available and would welcome making a deal for all. We also have nine accent panels that are approximately 12" x 66" if a buyer is interested in them all. These would be perfect wall panels for a library. Study or bar. The size is about 28" by 66" from molding to molding. That does not include the support pieces which are outside of the molding. I don't believe the framing wood to be mahogany/rosewood. However the wood within the molding is quite exotic. The panel can stand up as pictured. Or be laid on its side to cover more area on a wall. This is antique lighting at it's absolute best. Up for auction we have an antique wall sconce carefully removed from a government building. T his is an architectural salvage piece and this lamp has the original finial as well as a huge 11" antique glass lamp shade. It dates from the early 1900's around 1910. It is made of solid copper and brass and is very heavy weighing 14 pounds! The copper is 10- 12 g auge(which is extremely thic k for copper) a nd other parts are made of cast and tuned brass. These would have been custom made and been very expensive. It has the original General Electric porcelain sockets. Th is sconce w as removed from a building ... morethat was used as an Air Force base up until t he second world war and then was converted into a psychiatric hosp ital. You will not come across a sconce like this again for a very long time. The patina of this huge antique sconce is something that is priceless. The brass has blackened and the copper has went light green. This kind of patina and oxidation can only be found with 100 years of age and weather. The condition of the light fixture is very good it has been tested working and rewired. Believe it o r not. If you desired, you would be able to polish th is lamp to a shinny red and gold color. It has all 5 thumb screw present it the fitter to hold the massive shade on tight. This lamp can be displayed either way up or d own and w ould be perfect as an overhead door light fixture. It has an ornate Victorian pattern. The grate is in"as-found" condition. It has chippy white paint on it. We cleaned it off and removed the dust bunnies. We sprayed the moving parts with WD-40 so that the lever works properly. And the fins open and close easily. The original brass knob is on the lever. Dings, nicks, gouges, splits or cracks showing several coats of paint measuring 6" wide x 7 1/2" tall x 6" thick including 2" x 3" flange/bracket on back to attache feet to cast iron tub all identical. There is a mark of some numbers& letters on backside of all of them but cannot make out due to the layers of paint. Antique Mahogany Newel Post and 12' Railing - SOLID WOOD - Architectural Salvage
Available here is an antique newel post and railing. These are made of solid mahogany. No veneer here. You can't get anything like this anymore! The newel post stands almost 5' high. It is approximately 57" from floor to top of finial. It is in three pieces, a square base with a rounded stand, the rounded post and the top finial. The largest part of the square base is approximately 17.75"x17.75" There are threaded rods on the inside that connect the base and post together, the finial sits on top. There are specks of white paint around the newel post. I will let the buyer decide how to remove it. This newel post is meant to be at the bottom of a staircase. The railing is 12' long and approximately 5.5" wide. It is also made of solid mahogany. The bottom of the railing mounts flush onto the newel post. Antique Wood Carved Column table/stand plant Shabby , Architectural salvage
Hi for sale I have a rare Antique solid wood carved Column. I believe the wood is either oak or mahogany. It is painted white and has a chippy patina. This piece could be used as an accent piece. Table, or plant stand. Only a few others online for sale. This piece measures: 49 1/8" tall x top diameter: 11 1/4" x bottom diameter: 11 1/8" square. The piece was handmade. This column is heavy and large. I put it on the bathroom scale and it had a weight of around 50 to 60 pounds. The column has a knotch at one of the top middle sections( see photo# 6) I believe this was put there so it would fit at a staircase.
