While it looks like a card catalog unit, it’s actually made to hold 2” slides. There is a maple divider strip running the length of each drawer. See pics. With original unique hardware. Very minor repairs such as the front bottom right corner was glued back on. Otherwise looks pretty well untouched to me, I'm estimating an age of late 1800's to early 1900's do the the small square nails and patina, paint may have been added a bit later than its original contruction but it still looks to have some aging so I don't believe it was added recently. It appears that the blue was painted over a layer of white fairly heavily, has the consistency of milk paint. On its own it has a bit of a backward lean, but against a wall it sits flush. Two 20 door Antique Art Deco Pharmacy Apothecary Medical Cabinets for a total of 40 doors. These particular units where are a matched pair from a 1920's built era pharmacy in eastern Ohio so the story goes. They are actually designed and built as Schwarts Sectional Pharmacy System that were patient back in 1910. The design and the craftsmanship of these units are incredible. There are 20 doors for each cabinet that pull forward to gain access to the inside. Once inside the door you have an infinite number of combinations of compartment sizes by moving dividers in various positions. As I said these are a matched pair meaning as the pharmists stood in front of both cabinets the back wall of the doors from cabinet 1-20 would be to left where as the back wall of the doors from cabinet 21-40 would be to the right this allowed the pharmist ... moreto stand in one place to view and retrive all the medications. The cabinets appear to be made of Cherry or stained Cherry. Am not an expert on the different types of wood. Offered here is this unusual set of fifteen cast brass drawer pulls. Could have been used on an apothecary cabinet. Seed cabinet, hardware store cabinet or file cabinet. The lip of each pull has a fancy Victorian monogram on it with the letters; M. S, O, CO. Each pull measures about 4 5/16" wide by 2" high. The slot on the back for the lable measure about 1" x 4" Original surface has not been cleaned or polished in many years. Should clean up well. There some minor bends on some of the pulls. Antique 19th century 16 drawer apothecary cabinet. This piece has a deep. Rich patina to the wood and original wooden pulls. There are some imperfections, ex. one drawer has a chip(see photos) Overall it is wonderful and would make a great kitchen island and work space. It has a butcher block top that may not be original to the piece but is a very nice marriage of the two pieces. The drawers are solid wood except for the drawer bottoms, they are made of a pressed board. The back of the piece has a piece of molded tin that has been attached- also probably no original to the piece. The overall measurement of the cabinet is 60" long, 43 3/4" tall and 22 5/8" deep; the butcher block top is 60" x 30 1/8" This piece is listed as a local pick up. You are buying a rare. Nearly complete early 1900s pharmacy cabinet. This beautiful cabinet is from Wheeler's Pharmacy in Lynchburg, VA. Wheeler's Pharmacy opened for business in 1911 and there is every reason to believe that this cabinet was an important part of that original pharmacy. The wood cabinet features metal tabs above each drawer; it was through these tabs that the various labels were pulled and applied to prescription bottles. There are 60 drawers for the various pharmacutical elements used in the drugstore- 15 of the drawers contain full rolls of labels; the other 45 have at least a portion of a roll of labels. The wooden part of the cabinet is in very good shape; the pictures show that there is a chip in the top of the cabinet. We also believe that the top wooden drawer front is a replacement although the workmanship ... moreis very good. No other issues with the actual cabinet other than the top chip. Each draw was for different herb that is named on the destinctive drawer pulls. Found in early drugstores. This item is dated by the KNAPP joints used in the contruction of the drawers. Metal handles held in place with metal screws have the names of each herb pressed into the metal in latin. This would make a great addition to any antique drugstore, movie prop, kitchen herb bench or smalls storage drawers in a conversion apartment. This is a very old item which has flaws and character but do not survive and as a result very rarely come on to the market. Due to the size and nature of this piece it will be a pick up only. Measurements This piece in total of both sets of drawers measures 92" long(each ... moreunit being 46" long) by 12" deep by 44" tall. The top longer drawers measure 20" long by 10" deep by 3" tall. The other 40 drawers measure 10" long by 10" deep by 4" tall. The top section which is not constructed would measure 92" long by 52" tall by 8" deep. This consists of 27 individual piece of wood but I do not know if any pieces are missing. Please note that this piece is being given gratis with the purchase of the 44 drawer unit. This is an AUTHENTIC DRUG STORE MEDICINE CABiNET. That comes from a defunct Drug Store in Lorain(near Cleveland) Ohio. Oak. With a dark stain. 2-Doors. With original BRASS latches. Bottom door does stick. 2 Drawers on very bottom. Inside the main cabinet. There are multi shelves, adjustable with original wooden wedges that fit into the angled grooves on both sides of the cabinet. Cabinest was made this way so the druggist could easily adjust the shelves for the many, vaired, heights of bottles and jars that he kept in the cabinet. There is a noticeable odor of MEDIcINE when you open the door. It is not objectionable. But it is there. NOT musty, but medicine-y. I think it smells sort of like an old LINIMENT. From the old pharmacy of Leo C. Dygert. 5 Canal Street, Fort Plain NY. Measures 23 inches tall by 27 inches wide by 7.5 inches deep. The cabinet and drawers are solid. Holds 85 labels. Has 70+ differnt paper gummed labels with hundreds of labels each. There are 18 different poison labels, alot of them have the antidote printed on the label. The majority of the rolls are free but there are some stuck together which can be soaked in warm water(the labels dont bleed) and then unwound and dried, rewound. Two drawers have been painted and had label markers and pulls removed. Some of the actual labels dont match.

One of the most unique antiques I have ever seen certainly a showstopper. Mahogany wood not veneer-age around 1875-1900. Hudge piece measures 74" tall that does not include the crest add another 15" at tallest point to the 74" I was told that the previous owner had paid 5.000 25 yrs ago at an antique shop in Va. I can believe that as this is such a unique piece. The width measures 44" while the depth measures 22" The two coffin style doors are an impressive 7" thick themselves. Original brass hardware, key, along with I believe they are brass knobs, no missing knobs. Raised panels on front and sides. Back is flat mahogany wood. Drop style handels similar to the eastlake era. Great patina. Dovetail drawers slide together cubby's and peg work. The right side door holds 32 cubbies measuring 6" deep x7" ... moretall x 4-3/4" wide. The left hand door holds a total of 52 cubby's, and one large area 18" x 10-1/2" x 6" deep. There are 23 drawers, a pull out writing tablet(which has a crack accross it) but does not affect it's strength or useability and five large compartments.The drawers along with the placement of the drawers are numbered in the wood example 1-2-17-19 and so on. The crest has a ship's anchor for detail. If you live close and want to view before bidding please email me. This sale is for an Eleven Drawer Tiger Maple Apothecary Cabinet. It has eleven All Hand Dovetailed tiger maple drawers with Hand Chamfered bottoms. The ten interior drawers have All Hand Turned tiger maple knobs. There are three really early antique brass knobs on the exterior that I have been saving for quite some time for just such a great piece. They are a little beat up but they really show there actual age and add to the uniqueness of this fantastic cupboard. This cabinet is all mortis and tenon construction with square wooden walnut pegs holding it together. It has a two-raised-panel tiger maple door. It is hand beaded and has recessed antique brass hinges as well. It has four Hand Turned tiger maple feet on the base of the cabinet. All the slides and guides for the drawers are square nailed in. Up for sale is a medical cabinet made by the Max Wocher& Son Co. in Cincinnati. Ohio It is a rare find indeed. It stands about 70" tall and 35" wide. It has 2 drawers and 2 glass doors. It does come apart into 2 pieces. At some point someone thought it was a good idea to paint it brown and white with a brush: It is a solid piece of medical history and hard to find! Antique Apothecary Cabinet - 32 drawers with porcelain pulls
This is a great old Apothecary cabinet with the original porcelain. Hand painted pulls- the pulls alone sell for between $15-$20 each. There are 32 drawers all with a porcelain pull. The cabinet is 102" x 18" x 36" H. It has a replaced top- very nice- as you can see in the pic and has had some restoration- it is in great condition. This is a very heavy cabinet and I am selling as local pickup unless other arrangements are made-if you have a shipper I will work with you. But you will have to coordinate everything on your end. This particular one has a metal property tag from New England Baptist Hospital. The cabinet is in good condition but the back veneer is missing and the back boards are warped. Rare Antique McCourt Label Cabinet Chest Apothecary Pharmacy Drug Store Doctor
Vintage Cor Cor Pressed Steel Toy Steam Engine and Tender Description: Presented for your consideration is this antique McCourt Label Cabinet. This cabinet would have been displayed inside old pharmacy. Drugstore, or general store for the operator to label prescriptions and other medicinal bottles with their perspective label. This cabinet was manufactured by McCourt Label Cabinet Co. Bradford Pa. It measures 23 1/2 inches wide x 14 inches tall x 7 inches deep. The cabinet and drawers are solid. This cabinet comes with its own original different paper gummed labels with hundreds of labels each. There are some really neat labels such as"POISION" CHLOROFORM" and many other unusual items. The majority of the rolls are there but a few drawers do not have labels. It is in amazing condition for its age. The wood is all very sturdy ... moreand solid. The original finish exhibits a fine luster. It is missing one of the glass drawer pulls. I will try to pick one up this week but if I do not have time they can be found at any local hardware store. The wood does exhibit a few minor scratches but overall it is in excellent condition. A beautiful piece of medical history this cabinet would fit seamlessly into any collection. Antique Primitive 12 Drawer Apothecary Chest Cabinet Drugstore LOOK
Up for auction is an antique 12 drawer apothecary cabinet with original hardware. I am not the original owner and I believe it has been restained sometime in its past. Age is unknown but it is guaranteed to be an original. Some scratches from its age. Measures 13" wide. 17 1/4" tall, 15 3/4" Has really unique half round drawers. Drawer pulls have the coolest details to them. I see people charge ten dollars apiece just for the hardware. Antique VTG Apothecary medicine Cabinet mirror Door 1800's 19th c General Store
This is a super old door that could have went off of an old medicine cabinet or really any kind of cabinet for that matter. It has crazy old mirrored glass. The back looks to be lead paint, and the wood itself is 1 inch think exactly which shows the age itself. It has the original porcelain knob still on it and lock mechanism on side for a skeleton key. Also, has original brass hinges. It does have some wear to it but could definitely still be used to make a killer cabinet. I have not attempted to clean this at all. It came straight out of an old barn in Maryland. This is a fairly heavy piece due to thickness of wood. Measures about 18 x 28 1/4 x 1. Ask any other questions you make have. Cabinet measures 32" high x 23" x 22" deep. It is the cabinet to the right in the photo. The cabinet to the left with the larger drawers is not included. You are bidding on a huge VERY RARE Antique 54 Drawer Primitive C.1880 Apothecary Pharmacy Drug Cabinet with original dated 1889 Porcelain knobs. This really is an amazing one of a kind piece and you will probably never see another one. The entire piece is dovetailed including all the drawers. I believe the right end board of the cabinet is an early replacement. This was in very bad shape when we found it but after hours of cleaning it really has come alive. It's a huge conversation piece. There are 6 thin wide drawers on the top row and the rest are taller drawers. Here are some of the drug names on the porcelain knobs. Acacia. Antique VTG Wood Spice Cabinet-Apothecary/Storage Cabinet-Original Finish
For sale is an antique vintage cabinet which I think was used for spices or as a desk set. It has 4 drawers which each have a small porcelain pull and two compartments. On the base there is a flip door for storing larger items.There is a very old hanger for attaching to the wall but could also be set on a cabinet. The size is larger at 19" tall by 8" deep and 11" wide. There are some chips(see pictures) but these only add to the look. Some of the wood looks oak and some pine or a lighter wood. Antique VTG Wooden Apothecary Printers slanted Cabinet 1800s Labels 19th c Old
Great antique cabinet with 11 drawers. 8 are printing drawers with tons of slots for printing block. 3 are storage drawers with cast iron pulls. Owners must have switched out the shelves long ago and put in the larger ones to hold extra storage. The top is cracked as seen in photo 8 but it is still very solid. Either top left leg or bottom right legs is just barely a hair too short/ long. That is why you see the piece of hardware under the leg in front(this would be a super easy fix but I am too lazy) Two knobs are porcelain. The rest look to be wooden. There are lots of labels on this cabinet. The first label reads Forest County Public school. I don't know much about the history but am assuming it was used in a school at one time. This medical cabinet has a glass front with a beautiful. Centered"Sterilizer" graphic. It's got nice art deco styling with the off center glass panel and darkened, recessed lines that wrap around the side from the front. The cabinet measures 8.5" D x 12.5" W x 12 3/4" T. The inside of the cabinet measures 6 3/4" D x 11" W x 11" T with glass shelves at 4" and 7 5/8" heights. This is an ANTIQUE VICTORIAN WOODEN PORTABLE TRAVEL APOTHECARY MEDICAL PHARMACY BOX CABINET. This was a fabulous find! The cabinet has 2 fold out doors that swing open. A drawer& a flip top. The doors have storage areas for test tubes& vials as well as compartments in the back of the cabinet for holding medicine bottles etc. There are paper instructions still attached to the doors& cabinet– Disease of the Kidney’ detailed instructions that say‘test for bile…test sugar…specific gravity’ etc. There is a split along the back but wood is not loose, cabinet is very sturdy overall. I think there may have been a middle shelf on the doors at one point. The hinges appear to be newer but the latch and box are all original otherwise. It measures 14" x l0" x 8. Up for auction is an antique 15 drawer apothecary cabinet with original hardware. Pick up only in NW Pennsylvania. What a great. Super heavy, quality cabinet in wonderful condition. I am not the original owner and I believe it has been restrained sometime in its past. Age is unknown but it is guaranteed to be an original. Some scratches and a few chips in the wood.
