Vintage Industrial Glass Front Apothecary Cabinet Medicine Makeup Display Case
We do not know the history of this item. Unfortunately, but we know a great piece when we see one. This glass front cabinet has a nice turning handle for latching the front door. There is a railing surrounding an area on top where it looks like a counter-top or other connecting cabinet sat. There are two spots on the frame above the cabinet where a connecting piece was removed. There is also an area on the frame above the cabinet where a company badge or some other piece was removed from the front. The cabinet is solid and it measures 22" W x 18" D x 34.25" T. The interior of the cabinet measures 15.75" W x 14.5" D and there are two shelf areas both 7" tall. This is a VERY OLD Wooden Apothecary styled Cabinet that appears to be handmade. I have repainted it and distressed the whole body. The little drawers are painted inside with 2 coats of fresh paint. The top back offers a small Eastlake Pediment. There are 4 drawers and one(top right) does not open and cant be used. I was unable to save it. Each side of the drawers has a shelf space to display your pretty things. The front of each drawer have a wood pull knob and 2 carved out lines running across for added design. The back has 2"D" hooks for easy hanging. Rare and unusuall 61 drawer 1840's English Apothecary Cabinet, Pharmaceutical
Hello up for your consideration is a rare and unusuall 1840's English apothecary cabinet. There are 61 drawers with large glass knobs and reverse mirror gold labels a few of the knobs appear to have been replaced. The cabinet measures an incredible 108 inches long 32 inches tall and 10.5 inches deep. There is a label in one of the drawers it is a little worn but what I can read is PERSCRIPTION AND FAMILY RECIPES PREPARED WITH GENUINE DRUGS. APE& SONS DISPENSING AND FAMILY CHEMISTS. Small Chinese 16-Drawer Spice Medicine Apothecary Cabinet w/ Chinese Lettering
Up for auction is a small 16-drawer wood Chinese spice. Medicine, or apothecary cabinet with Chinese lettering on each drawer. There are brass ring pulls on each drawer with one drawer missing its ring. One of the small brass tacks is also missing from the base but this should be easy to replace with a furniture or thumb tack. All four brass corner brackets are present. The sides are dovetailed and the cabinet is in good condition with just a very small split in the back of the cabinet near the base as shown in the close-up photo. The cabinet measures 14" wide x 10" high x 6-5/8" deep and each drawer measures approx. 2-5/8" wide x 1-5/8" high x 5-5/8" deep. Primitive Antique Apothecary Desk Top Cabinet From the home of an antique collector. This is a nice table top Cabinet. Nice original wood patina, I think the wood may be walnut but am not sure. There is a front paneled door that has a lock, but I do not have the key. Inside there are six compartments on the top and a small drawer on the bottom. The drawer has dove tailed corners in the front and a nice brass drawer pull. The back and bottom of the drawer may have been replaced, not sure. The sides of the cabinet have a lighter finish with a darker stain toward the back, I'm not sure why, maybe the cabinet was inside some sort of structure. Vintage Wood With Glass Top Apothecary Medicine Medical Dental Cabinet Chest
Early to mid century medical/apothecary cabinet made of wood. Has a black glass top 3/8" thick. There is a 2-piece add on countertop shelving made of pressed wood and painted green to compliment this rare piece. All drawers will lock when the center 7 1/2 drawer is pressed shut flush with the rest but the locking key is missing. There is some paint flaking on the right side vertical edges that may be easily touched up- not abnormal with age. Dimensions: Overall dimensions are 40" wide x 44" tall top glass top(44 1/4" to back plate/stop) x 13" deep. there are 25 drawers total. 18 are 2" high, 2 are 4" high, 2 are 6" high, 2 are 10" high and the center locking drawer is 7 1/2" high. This came from an estate of a dentist. The top glass has a matte black paint finish on the underside and has a ... morechip on the front right corner and a 3-4" sliver from the rearward corner the same. The 2 piece pressed wood shelf top add-on; one side measures 27 1/2" tall x 19" wide x 8 1/4" deep and the other is 13 1/2" tall x 20 1/2 wide x 8 1/4" deep and has a wood dowel for instrument hanging. Condition: This piece was well made and is structurally sound and heavy. I'd estimate the weight to be 65 lbs. All drawers have crystal like knobs that match and are correct for that era. Some of the smaller upper drawers have channeled compartments for instrument separation. A couple of the larger drawers have some mildew that could be cleaned- we chose not to do more than dust it off with a damp cloth. There is little to no odor. Others appear to have minor water staining. On one of the frontal rail slats is a serial number and on another is a paper manufacturers inspection label but it is not very legible. I believe it was recessed into a wall originally. It measures 60 1/2 wide at the front. 59 3/4 wide at the back. It is 65 high and 18 3/8 deep. The inside drawer measurements are 12 1/2 wide. 16 3/8 deep and 4 3/4 high. Has curly maple along the top front. This piece opens for additional storage as shown in photo. Drawer fronts are maple. Cabinet is structurally sound, there is paint chipping and patina throughout, and some rust as depicted in the pictures. Age and manufacturer unknown, estimated 1920's to 1930's. Ranging from items of monetary value such as a few unopened Squibb Ether canisters and unused Premo 1cc insulin glass syringes with boxes, to oddities such as dental ligature wire from the 1940's and packages of colloidal oatmeal. Dimensions: The total dimensions are 38" length x 17 1/2" width x 47 1/4" height. These measurements include the 1/2 inch flair and wheel underpinnings on the cabriole legs. And the mirror. Welcome to another never_enufstuf listing! I have available an antique. C1800s, hand-made Apothecary cabinet owned by a Pharmaceutical Chemist living in the United Kingdom during the 1800s- early 1900s. Drawers have reverse-painted glass labels in black and gold leaf. Labels are in Latin of the various herbs used to make medicines. Drawer pulls are threaded glass- some appear to be original. Some replaced over the years. Inside of the drawer labeled CROCUS is the Chemists paper label: S.J. WESTON. LATE BULLEN, PHARMACEUTICAL, CHEMIST, 24, CHURCH ROAD, WEST BRIGHTON. Chemist S.J. Weston is listed as an attendee or Scrutineer at the sixtieth annual meeting of the Pharmaceutical Journal held on May 22nd. 1901 in London. Drawer fronts are Mahogany. Drawers and cabinet have large dove-tail or interlocking and wedge-pin/glue construction. Back ... moreof cabinet is planked. Finish board on top is screwed in place. Cabinet is in remarkable condition. Wood drawers and cabinet are solid. One crack or repair across top on left as well as a screw sticking up near the crack. Two of the drawer fronts have some damage and a few of the glass labels are cracked or broken. Several of the glass knobs are chipped and or cracked and four are missing. Of the missing knobs there are remnants of glass threading in two of the threaded holes. Otherwise. Many marks, nicks, scuffs, some paint splatter and scratches- some deep. Antique Spice Apothecary Cabinet Cupboard RARE Tramp Art AAFA
This is a RARE spice or apothecary cabinet because it has handmade decorative'trim' pieces on the front- which is why I called it'tramp art' It has four larger(than a regular spice cabinet) drawers with the ORIGINAL porcelain knobs. Two of the drawers have a wooden separation down the center. It measures 8 inches in width. 6.75 inches in depth and 18 inches in height(to the top of the back) The color is a dark maple color. I think it is a maple wood, in fact the inside of the drawers made me wonder if it was a type of tiger maple, but I didn't see evidence of that on the outside. There is"age" to this piece and that is why the wood has darkened over the years(my guess as to the age is late 1800s) The drawers are nailed together with tiny nails. This piece certainly has a'sense of presence' There is one ... morepiece of the decorative carved'trim' missing on the bottom; however. This does not detract from this piece in any way. ANTIQUE APOTHECARY STEP BACK STORE CABINET FROM OLD DRUG STORE
This is a gorgeous mahogany cabinet from the old Davis Drug Store in Gallatin. Missouri. It measures 103" wide x 96" H. The top display is 12" deep with 3 adjustable wooden shelves, and wood-framed original glass sliding doors with brass hardware, which measure 49"w x 45" high each. The bottom half of the case measures 18" deep and has 2 sets of gliding wooden doors with brass hardware, with 1 adjustable shelf. This piece is in beautiful condition and I am assuming that it has been stored upstairs in the old store for a half a century. I actually have 2 cabinets that are almost identical, the other being a little shorter in length, about 100 1/2" and unfinished on one side as it was connected to other cabinets. They were used in the old drug store in the late 1800's early 1900's. This store, founded ... morein 1855 and built in 1878, was used as a drug store, soda fountain, and general store in its early days and these pieces are in wonderful condition. Here we have a truly Magnificent Antique Mahogany Cabinet of Unusual Shape and Design! I think it is either an APOTHECARY CABINET or perhaps an early MEDICAL SURGEON'S CHEST? I really don't know? When I acquired this Piece it was full of Microscopic Microscope Related Accessories and Preparation Liquids. Bottles and Slide Making Equipment etc etc. There is only one very very minor piece of damage to the top left front corner of the Lower Drawer which is hardly noticeable. As can be seen it has some very fine additions which I feel makes this piece even more desirable such as the Key Finial and Drawer Handle having nice Insets of different Woods! Its Brass Lock and Key are intact as is the Brass Folding Brass Handle! It is our pleasure to offer this Fabulous Vintage JOHNSON& JOHNSON tin 6 drawer apothecary cabinet that was either used in a Doctor's office or a Drug Store many years ago. It was used for Rubad Corn and Bunion Plasters. It is in very good condition for its age. We did not attempt to clean it as we like to leave that up to the discretion of the new owners. There is a slight whitish haze on some areas of the blue that you will see in our pictures that seems to rub off but again we will leave that up to your discretion. Antique General Store 55 Drawer Apothecary Seed Hardware Cabinet Counter
For sale is this antique apothecary seed counter from an old general store store. The counter is in good used condition with lots of patina. As you can see from the pictures. The drawered unit easily lifts out of the glass showcase. The counter measures 95 1/2" long x 24 1/2" wide x 40" tall. There are 55 drawers that are graduated in size from the top down. All of the drawers are in good condition and open with ease with the exception of one drawer which is missing the front panel. The only other issue is a slight crack in the glass which is pictured. You may consider replacing the piece of glass but that is nothing major. This item is local pickup only. I will ship the cabinet but all shipping arrangements must be set up by the buyer. Antique 8 Drawer Apothecary Wooden Wall Cabinet Letter File, Recipe, Spice Box
For sale is this antique apothecary wall cabinet. It measures 31 1/2" tall x 16 1/2" wide. It is 13" deep to the front of the towel bar and 9" deep to the front of the drawers. There are six smaller drawers on the top and they each measure 6 1/2" x 4" There are two larger drawers in the middle that measure 14" x 4" The bottom door folds down and there is a towel bar on the bottom of the cabinet. The cabinet was originally built into the wall of the bathroom of an old house. It can be built back into a wall or would also look just fine exposed from the wall. For sale is this antique apothecary cabinet from an old hardware store. The cabinet is in good used condition with lots of patina. It is made entirely of wood and measures 28 1/2" long x 10" wide to the knobs x 10" tall. It has eight drawers some have dividers and some do not they are also removable. All original knobs. The back looks like it was replaced as it is a little different wood and color not a big deal you never see it when you display it. I think they put it on when they removed it these were usually built into a wall without a back. The bottom has some old white paint smeared super cool piece with a great look.
