Antique English 19th Century Soft Paste Porcelain Jug or Pitcher with Gilt Trim English antique soft paste porcelain jug from the mid 1800’s. The ornate soft paste jug is a beautiful lavender-blue and white and features two allegorical scenes on the side panels in relief. One scene depicts a woman holding a Caduceus. The staff carried by Hermes in Greek mythology, and a child sitting on her lap as two young children pull her carriage. The second scene depicts a woman in a carriage being pulled by two dogs as a putto with baskets of flowers hovers above her. A simple border that terminates in a shell form, surrounds both of the scenes. The front of the jug depicts a tree. There pitcher is accented with brilliant gilt trim and decoration throughout and the front of the pitcher has a decorative gilt monogram on the front. The jug is unsigned ... moreand unmarked. There is a bit of faint gilt loss, particularly on the rim, lip of the spout and on the acanthus leaf handle. There is a tight ¼” hairline on the interior where the handle meets the body and another 1” tight hairline on the bottom rim. The hairline does not go into the interior or prevent water storage. It was called Royal Porcelain. Based on the back stamp on the base. The Pitcher possibly would have been made between 1892 and 1924. Based on the nature of its usage, it was mostly on the earlier side. This pitcher is huge. At least as pitchers go. The approximate circumference of the body is 25 inches. Its tallest point is 11 inches at the spout. It weighs in at over 4 pounds. It is embellished with grey blue and white detailing. My guess is of a charming Dutch village and sailing vessels. Certainly it has slightly faded with time and use. But there are no surface type chips on the base. There is normal wear to the base. I have not cleaned the pitcher and it is dirty inside, but I have left that for

Description: This auction is for an antique Art Nouveau Lenox hard porcelain flowered sterling overlay pitcher with lid. The Lenox mark on the bottom was first used in 1906. the mark of the silver maker is on the bottom as well. The pitcher is marked sterling on the side under the handle near the bottom. The pitcher measures approximately 7 1/2 inches tall to the top of the lid. The base 4 inches wide, the width from handle to side 5 inches. The pitcher is in good condition for it's age; no repairs. But there are two hairlines, one at the bottom of the handle's right side& another to the left bottom side of the handle. The hairlines are both smooth to the touch. There is one small rough area that looks like some sterling or glue, when you look at the photo#8 you may notice, or not, near the top middle of the flowers. It is not ... morea chip& there is one other area on the handle that appears to be a loss of sterling rather than a chip. There is one small black dot under the handle that appears to have been caused in the making. Just covering all the bases, this is a rare find& a beautiful piece. This is an antique. Ceramic/porcelain? pitcher with an early renaissance style raised muriel on the side. It has a blood-red color and it looks like a woman and child. It's kind of hard to make out. I don't know the exact age but it has heavy crazing all over it. It is in excellent used condition with no chips or cracks, little dirty. I was afraid to wash it. This beauty is priced to sell. A real find! For your consideration is this beautiful antique Nippon Royal Kinran Pitcher. The shape of this pitcher is quite unusual, I cannot find another listed anywhere close to this design. The pitcher has an all over magenta/ white floral design. I believe the flowers are roses, but I am not sure. The entire pitcher is covered in gold beading moriage surronding the flowers. The gold on the bottom edge(on the rim under the gold beading) of the pitcher is faded due to how old this piece is. At the sale where I acquired this piece, I was told the piece belonged to their grandparents, and is quite old. I do not have an exact age for this piece. The mark on the bottom is very light, however; the Royal Kinran name and Nippon, and Mark is still readable. The piece is free of chips or cracks. ESTATE FIND: This is from an estate that purchased it in England in the 1970's. It is part of a pitcher and bowl set and the bowl and other pieces were broken in transit back to the U.S. The set is in good used condition.the pitcher has no chips or cracks but the holder has no chips but it does have a line crack about 2 or 3 inches. This lovely porcelain pitcher has a detailed hand painted scene of flowering trees. Hills, and cottages beside a cool stream, with little dusky patches in the sky. The painting of small details is carefully done, rather than the slashes of paint sometimes seen in oriental scenes; and some of the blossoms on the trees are dotted with white moriage(raised dots of paint) There is also gold on the rim and handle. The words“Hand Painted Made in Japan” are on the bottom with the torri back stamp(Gate of Honor) But it is very faint so I’ve included a photo of a clearer one from a saucer. The pitcher is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and measures 4 ½” in diameter x 2 ¾” high, not including the spout. There is a matching cup and saucer in a separate listing. The bowl measures 15" across and 4 3/4" tall. The pitcher measures 11" tall. Both pieces have hand painted flowers as shown. Both have varying degrees of crazing in the glaze. The pitcher is stained orange on the inside(like water leaves iron stain) If you lift it up and look underneath. There is a small flat flake on the inside of the rim.this is completely insignificant but I want to be accurate. The bowl has crazing and wear as should be expected with such an old piece. Maddock's Lamberton Royal Porcelain Beautiful Water Pitcher that I beleive once had a water basin. I believe it is from around 1890's from some of the research I have been doing. Base is a mintish green. Flowers are a muted brown and pink This beauty does show it's age a bit.gold gilt not all there around the top and on handle. Just a couple of crazing areas inside vessel. There is a crack at the top that is on the inside that has not made it's way to the outside of pitcher. Also a photo of a darker drip at bottom of handle.looks like maybe when made? not sure. But all this adds to it's character. No Chips. I would not use this to put liquids in.this would be a lovely addition to anyone who loves antique water pitches and loves Shabby decor. Antique & Rare Porcelain Cherub Relief Pitcher with Brass Base
This is a unique and rare Antique White Porcelain Cherub Relief Pitcher with Brass Base. It stands 7.5" tall and spans 6.5" from handle to spout. the attached brass base is 4.5" round with 5 round ball feet. the handle is 5" x 2" and is painted with gold grape leaves. There is also gold painted trim. There is a cherub on the front and back with grapes snd leaves also in the design. There is some discoloration in the glaze sich as pink at the bottom and some beige near the cherub. These are from the manufacturing of the item. Shipping includes insurance.

Beautiful Antique German hand painted tankard pitcher. This piece is in excellent used condition. No chips, cracks or wear, the colors are stunningly bright and vibrant, the only exception is slight gold loss on the handle, but it does not take away from the beauty of this piece.
