This is a very old EARLY CROWN PEDIMENT or WINDOW or DOOR TOP you be the judge! It measures 3 4 1/8" X 4 7/8" tall. I believe it is made of pine. It weighs a little over 3 lbs. It is in good condition for it's age(as can be seen in the photos) The wood is a little split on the left en d because it is so old.

Up for bid is this stunning quartersawn oak mantel shelf or mantel top from. I believe an overmantel. The piece is approximately 5 2-3/4" in length or width x 10" deep x 5" high. Hollowed o ut or opened in the back makes for some nice hidden storage. Beautiful quartersawn oak grain patterns set this gem off like no other and will grace any room it's used in. Pair it up with a few columns of the same wood and grain patterns and make it back into a mantel. Leave it as is. Other than cleaning it up, add a few hidden hangers and you'll have a very nice shelf as well as a hidden compartment piece to add to any room. It has great Eastlake Spoon Carvings. Ornate brackets, corbels and moldings. The label in the back says Made by Kammerer on Germantown Ave. Philadelphia. PA June 1893. It measures 46.25 inches wide and 17.25 inches tall and is 3.5 inches thick. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. You are bidding on a Vintage Antique East Lake Victorian Wood Wooden Pediment. The piece measures 32 3/4" long and 9 3/4" tall at the tallest point. The top piece is about 2 1/2" thick and the rest of the piece is about 3/4" thick. It has an eye hook on the back for hanging that was there when I got it. It is in overall very good condition. There is some burl on the front although it looks like it might be missing on the left side as you look at it. It is really hard to tell with the dark staining. It shows age appropriate wear but I do not see any cracks. Chips or breaks. There is some crazing on the middle piece and some minor crazing on the right side. The right side looks like the burl is raised on a place about 1" across and 2" tall. This would look great hanging on your wall, above the door or on top of ... morea wonderful victorian mirror. Vintage Antique Baroque Angel Pediment Shelf wood sculpture statue church 1800's
This pediment was purchased by my friend's grandparents at an antique store called"Neumann" in Germany in either 1935 or 1936. It was purchased when they were taking his brother to entrance exams at boarding school. They purchased many items from this store. It is an original baroque angel pediment. While we don't know its exact age. We do know that it was considered an antique in 1936. A couple years later, a Germanic National Museum in Nurnberg consultant wanted to buy it from him while looking for items at the old German church he was renovating. It measures 6 3/4" tall and the shelf is 6 1/2" across the top. The shelf is green painted wood with"No. 1056" hand written on the back. The sculpted angel face could be either wood or putty, I'm not sure. Someone who knows more about this may be able ... moreto tell from my pictures. The gold painted part has some wear along the edges and the nose may have a slight flaw. If you look very closely there is some color variation. I'm not sure if it is supposed to be that way or not. It could be a chip, but it feels smooth. This package will be very carefully packed in a large box with lots of bubble wrap, mailed by Priority Mail, and will be insured. While I am by no means an expert on antique pediments, I do answer questions quickly, and can consult my friend with questions I may not have information about. Description This is an antique oak panel- probably part of an old sideboard. It has a frame with two carved panels in the middle. Piece measures 21-1/8" wide and 26-1/8" long and depth is 1-5/8" at widest part- It is in good condition with nice oak patina. There is a key hole on the front and the lock on the back. I have a very Beautiful Pediment up for auction. It is made from Oak Wood and has elegant detailed pieces nailed onto it. It is a work of ART from days gone past when quality was put into furniture. This piece can be added to a dresser.Buffet, or simply used as an Architectural Hanging over a door or on your wall over a picture. There are two hangers already on the back for easy installation.
