This brass wall letter measures about 3 5/8" tall and about 2 7/8" wide" wide at the widest point. 1/2" thick. It's a solid brass piece weighing about 8 ozs. There are three threaded holes for mounting in the back(screws not included) or it can stand on its own. It's a nice piece of brass that has weathered some has some dings and scuff marks. Industrial Aluminium Body. Steel Caged Explosion Proof Light, Honex Glass, German Communist Era. Buy With Confidence From The Number 1 UK Seller Of Antique& Reproduction Ship Lights On eBay Image Below Is Representational Description: Here's something I have been after for a while. Some large sized explosion proof lights. These came out of a former GDP factory, probably munitions, and a striking pieces. The pictures(shot in good sunlight) have unfortunately highlighted the surface rust on the cage, it is very superficial when you see it. I will make sure to clean them up a bit more before sending out. These lights have a Honex glass, almost indestructible it's thick, strong and the glass has no chips or marks of note. The catch to release the glass is a bit tricky, and once done you have to undo the screw on the opposite side ... moreto access inside. Some have different writing inside, to coin a phrase"it's all German to me" some say explosion proof or similar some do not, they all are I am sure. Inside the large lamp holder does in fact take a standard size E27 screw in bulb, the connecting points are in excellent order, near new. According to the plate they take up to 100 Watt bulbs, I know if I kept one I would stick a large round long life bulb in there for a really funky look. The outlet lugs vary, some are covered some not, the opposite ones have 2 different types as well. I do my best to match items when people buy quantities but each light is rather unique. Please note these lights are not suitable for wet area's(bathrooms) or heavily exposed outdoor area's. The seals are good. But these lights are not rated for wet area's. I would say these are best suited to covered area's or dry indoor use as this is safest and will best prolong their life. The mounting plates have a single fixing making the light sit away from the wall. You could modify this be removing and creating recesses into the wall for a flush fit quite easily using the right sized drill bit. If you want more

Description Lightly restored alloy industrial wall lights probably dating from around 1950. The cases are cast alloy with a bracket on either side so the lamp can be angled(they could be mounted without the brackets with the additional of holes in the back of the case) the shades are glass. Stripped and polished but not lacquered. They will tarnish but easil y polished with a metal/chrome cleaner. I don't think the bulb fittings are original. Supplied with new 60w decorative tubular bulb which is really in keeping with the style of light. Make great bathroom lights. Antique mill cart- Industrial Cart- late 19th to early 20th century. Used by the mill in our town which was established in the 1870s. Because the railroads always ran beside the mills. These carts were typically used for carrying large bolts of cloth to or from the train. Just as the mills have been repurposed so have the tools they used! Looking for a unique coffee table that is also a conversation piece? One end has two large iron wheels and the other 2 angled iron rests that they would put a bar thru to push or pull the cart This design makes the piece moveable yet very stable. It is all original.
