The mirror is made to swivel when in place, and fits into the yoke securely, with the original hardware intact. The yoke has two glove boxes, one on each side. Here is a marvelous antique mahogany twist column chest of drawers or large dresser with gorgeous flame mahogany veneers. Carved wooden knobs with mother of pearl inlay, lovely turned columns and legs, solid wood construction and overall wonderful condition for a mid-late 19th century piece. This chest was recently imported from the UK through Edinburgh, Scotland and was manufactured in either Victorian England or Scotland. This is a large piece which stands 58 inches tall and measures 40 inches wide by 23 inches deep. Front to back. This piece was designed to break down for safe transport and will travel in four pieces- the two twist columns, the footed base which stands 13 inches tall and measures 40 inches wide and 23 inches front to back. Beautiful Victorian Dresser- all wood. This was purchased at Hawkin's Antiques many years ago while they were still in Fort Lauderdale. Anyone familiar with this man's store is aware he carried very fine quality antiques. He still does- but now he is located in West Palm Beach. Piece must go as we have too many pieces now. Mirror has minor loss to silvering- there is a repair to one of the wood drawers that is not visible from exterior. Has keyholes for skeleton key but we do not have a key to lock it. Nice relief details on the dresser and the mirror. Dresser can be with or without mirror on it as it unscrews. This piece is on wheels and is very light and easy to move when drawers and mirror are removed which is a nice feature. Knobs are replacement and are very nice designer knobs that look like interlacing knot work. over 3 feet ... morewide and 20" from front to back- height is dependent upon use of mirror- dresser is about 3 ft tall mirror adds another 2.5 to 3 feet. Each drawer was constructed with hand cut dovetails, a sign of age and craftsmanship. Tall bracket feet finish the piece off nicely at the bottom. The wood has developed crackling over the drawer fronts and top surface. This gives the chest a distressed look and provides character and charm to an already lovely dresser! This mirror is made out of walnut and was constructed sometime in the 1860's. This shaving mirror follows the Victorian style. With intricately carved floral motifs in the sides that are holding up the mirror. There is a small pull out drawer at the bottom of the mirror for easy storage of toiletry items. This excellent mirror would make a great addition to any antique collection! Shows slight wear. Overall in VERY GOOD condition for its age. Measures 22 1/8" tall by 13 3/4" wide. Up for your consideration today is an antique Eastlake ladies dresser. I bought this with the intention of restoring it. As it is painted black by the former owner. I just have to many projects at this point so I am offering it up at a fraction of what this beauty would be worth in its original state. VICTORIAN EASTLAKE CHERRY? 1889 ANTIQUE CHEST/DRESSER~ALL ORIGINAL
I bought this from an old timer here in Hatfield and it was his mother's. That makes me the second owner. It dates to 1888-99 based on the scallop. And pin joinery shown in the drawers. It is all original. All drawers work well. One of the drawers has a square of yellow paint on the inside front. Also. There is one solid brass drawer pull that does not match all the others. I found. A semi match in a salvage shop in Aurora. Oregon. I currently have this piece in my living room and it looks gorgeous. Way to nice. To have tucked away in a bedroom. 41.5"inches across. 20.75"inches deep. 29.5"inches tall. Drawers are 35.75 by 15"inches with 5.5"inch depth. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN OAK VANITY DRESSER(1) Fantastic antique. Oversized Victorian period oak vanity dresser. This piece was probably manufactured by Karges and it will date into the 1870s-1880s period. The best part about this piece is that it is has not been refinished or altered since it was manufactured. The photo speaks for itself. This piece is massize measuring approximately 94" tall and 53.5" wide. Good luck finding another of this quality and size. Aside from a few minor flaws to the top and dulling of the finish, I can't fault this piece. Considering the age, I would give this a 8 or 9 out of 10. Antique Victorian Dresser & Mirror w/ Hidden Drawer Walnut & Oak 1800s
Offered for sale is this 19th Century Victorian dresser and Mirror combo made from Oak. Walnut and Poplar. To the best of my knowledge it has not been refinished. The number"81" is stamped into the back of the mirror in two different places. I can find no other markings. Hidden drawer has at one time had the bottom replaced with newer thin plywood. It is only visible when pulled out and upside down. Dimensions are Width-39 Depth-20 Height-73* When unlatched. The mirror tilts forward and backward. Drawers all operate smoothly. The drawers of this furniture are joined pin and dovetail. Pin and Cove Dove tail: This is the tale-tell sign of the date of this piece of furniture. The drawers of this piece are joined with a pin and cove dovetail. This joining technique was the very first dovetail for factory manufactured Eastlake furniture. It only lasted 10 years and one can be quite sure that the date of a pin and cove joined Eastlake drawer is between 1890 and 1900.
