A beautiful. Solid walnut, antique, dresser-top mirror. Originally made as a men's shaving mirror. The mirror can spin 360 degrees and is designed to be able to move so you can see yourself while standing or sitting. Dimensions of just the mirror: 21 1/2" H/ 15" W. Two walnut supports with brass turn screw attachments support the mirror frame(no mirror) The supports have screw holes in the bases of them to be screwed down to the top of the chest. Mirror can be angled up or down with the brass adjustment handles. Frame has nice parallel carved reeded lines all around and the dimensions are outside. 35 1/4" x 29 1/8" Inside, 30" x 24 1/2" Weight is about 10 lbs.

Pennsylvania c. 1805-20 Four graduated drawers flanked by chamfered columns over splayed French feet Item# 1301PYP21PZ While the Hepplewhite form employing splayed french feet in case pieces is well developed. Even common, this chest exudes a certain strength that is uncommon in Federal period works of the Hepplewhite style. The solid walnut and solid poplar construction gives it inordinate weight, but the intense lift of the feet, raising the apron sharply in the corners, eliminates the heaviness of the look. The projecting top is crafted of two boards, the last 3/4" along the front actually a continuation of the front of the chest up through ... morethe top, a somewhat unusual and perhaps unique construction method. Surrounding this is a dropped and applied molding over four graduated drawers. These with molded lips of the solid, each framed with hand dovetailed poplar boards with a deeply chamfered poplar bottom sliding into rabbets in the frame and tacked at the back with square nails. The dovetailing method is somewhat original, using very large dovetails at the front, smaller dovetails at the back, the lowest back dovetail squared on it's lower edge to receive the drawer bottom in the rabbet cut. Flanking these drawers are chamfered columns on either side. Both sides of the case are single solid planks of walnut. Incredibly large boards with wonderful grain appearance. Five vertical poplar boards line the back of the case, these entirely undisturbed and nailed in neat rows, the boards on the far left and right sides continuing all the way to the ground. As a result of this construction method, the feet are in simply outstanding stable condition, despite the incredible weight being supported. A very fine antique. Circa 1870's, carved walnut Renaissance/Neo Grec marble top pier mirror. There are incised lines with the original gilt decoration. Very imposing carved crest and finials, and base, with palmettes. The unit measures 9'4" 112" tall by 37" wide by 13-1/2" deep. The mirror measures 71" tall by 23-1/4" wide. Excellent condition: original finish, walnut without chips or crack. The original back support for the stand with mirror frame is missing, and replaced with plain wood boards. The marble is without cracks, chips, or stains. The mirror has no damage, two minor backing spots.

It would have had another small piece below the shelf, but that is missing and all you can see is the lighter shade mark where it would have been. The good thing is that you are able to see the painted insert better without that piece. The wood looks like walnut. ... moreBut I am not an expert at determining these things. It appears to have the original finish. Although it is quite worn and generally a bit distressed, but the shelf is in sound condition. There is also that missing piece that I mentioned previously. The painting has an aged, crackled and mottled appearance. There are two eyelet holes on either side of the side brackets to hang the unit on the wall. Measurements of the shelf are 20" width x 6-1/2" depth and it has a height of 9-5/8" The shelf weighs 2 pounds 1 ounce. I purchased from a Birmingham, AL estate; those folks were career military, were stationed in Italy; they purchased the pieces there from an antique shop; brought them back tot he states when they returned. Mirrored back and glove boxes lift off the marble top dresser. Marble also lifts off and it weighs a ton. 3 of the 4 drawers have their original locks. Renaissance Revival style washstand with a black marble top and a matching mirror made in Austria circa 1870. They are in very good condition. Please check the photos as these pieces do have some minor flaws. The washstand has 2 doors and 2 drawers. It is 42” wide. 20.5” deep, and 30” tall to the marble surface in front. The marble shelf is 4.75” from the top which makes the overall height 34.5”and the shelf is 16” from the leading edge of the marble shelf to the front of the washstand. There is a drilled hole in the center of the marble shelf for mounting the mirror. The Mirror Frame is 30” wide at the top and 37.5” wide at the bottom. The mirror frame is 43.25” tall. A very fine antique. Circa 1890's, carved and burled walnut marble top dresser with attached mirror frame and beveled mirror. Two piece construction. The case has three short drawers over two long drawers, with the original brass pulls. The drawer interiors are maple. Light burl walnut veneers across the drawers. The sides have a recessed panel. A finely mottled brown and white beveled marble slab is on top. The mirror frame is supported with a frame of deep carved classical cornice having acanthus, drapped swag, and serpentine ribbon. The mirror frame support measures 4'9" 57" tall by 3'7" 43" wide by 3" deep, the mirror glass 29" by 27-1/2" The dresser measures 3'8" 44" wide by 2'4" 28" tall by 20" deep. 54333 ANTIQUE 1870s RENAISSANCE CARVED WALNUT OVER MANTEL MIRROR W LADY HEAD
A very nice antique. Circa 1870's, Renaissance Revival over mantel mirror. It is in carved walnut with elaborate crest having a carved lady figurehead and drape with tassels. There are decorative raised panels with rosewood veneers, and incised line designs gilted in. There are two later holes drilled in the upper frame where it would be bolted to the wall. The crest is missing the finial carving on top of the flat top. As presented it measures 6'11" 83" tall By 5'2" 62" wide by 9" deep at lady head. The mirror measures 55-1/2" tall 46-1/2" wide. Very good condition: original unworn finish to walnut and rosewood. Gilt incised lines mostly filled. Minor crack to frame upper right. All rosewood without chipping. The lady has been gilt painted over the original finish. A few scattered backing spots ... moreto the mirror, glass without damage.
