Great piece to display still. Measures about 9.25" across. The plate tells of the history of the church including the fact during Civil War the building was used as a hosptial. The plate was made by World Wide Art Studios Covington.Tn Bought this in an estate sale but it now needs a new home. Any spots shown are the result of bad photographer which is me. 1973 Commemorative 50th Anniversary 1st Christian Church NKC MO Plate Gold Edge
This is a beautiful 50th Anniversary Commemorative plate from First Christian Church of North Kansas City. Missouri. The front has a drawing of the church, as it looked in 1973. The back has the following inscription: The First Christian Church of North Kansas City was organized on May 10. 1923, by Rev. R. B. Havener, with 45 charter members. Services were held in the old Commercial Building, while a basement church was being built at 21st& Gentry Streets, which was dedicated May 4, 1924. The original sanctuary, a brick structure, was completed and dedicated February 19, 1928. In the 1950's, an educational structure added, under Rev. L. G. Snodgrass. On the front of the 10 inch plate. There is a 1 1/4 inch wide rim of decorative 22k gold and a picture of Olive Branch Baptist Church(Southern) On the back it says, Olive Branch Baptist Church(Southern) was organized April 1872 in Benton School, with 14 members. Located one mile north of Beaman, Mo. Pettis County on Arrow Rock Road. Land was bought from Mr. Mrs. Wm. L. Embree at a cost of $20.00. The building was built in 1876, it still stands(1972) It was through the efforts of Providence Church that Olive Branch was organized. 22Kt Gold Made in U.S.A This plate is not perfect. Vintage Bethany Lutheran Church Plate, Kensett, Iowa
This 10 1/4" diameter plate features a illustration of the Bethany Lutheran Church of Kensett. Iowa. The back of the plate includes some church history and provides a list of pastors up to 1962. A logo on the bottom rear of the plate indicates it was made in Covington, Tennessee, by World Wide Art Studios. The plate is free of cracks, chips, and graving.
