Basin measures 8" in diameter with handle sides and 2" tall. Very good condition. In great condition, no chips or cracks, afew light rub marks on the ecru background that I believe would polish out(picture 10) Measures 13.25" tall. Featured here is a BEAUTIFUL ART NOUVEAU ERA FLATBACK JUG/EWER IN BLUSH IVORY PORCELAIN WITH HANDPAINTED AND GILDEDFLOWERS. IT IS HALLMARK/STAMP DATED 1888. The letter"Z" underneath the Worcester hallmark specifically dates it to 1888. This jug stands 7" tall and is in perfect condition. The gold wash handle shows areas of red reflecting from underneath but I am sure it was made in that manner because it is consistent at various areas of the handle that would not be worn from use. I truly believe this is the closest to mint condition that you can find anywhere. This came from an old Pennsylvania farmhouse and was in the china closet forever I was told. This lovely porcelain pitcher has a detailed hand painted scene of flowering trees. Hills, and cottages beside a cool stream, with little dusky patches in the sky. The painting of small details is carefully done, rather than the slashes of paint sometimes seen in oriental scenes; and some of the blossoms on the trees are dotted with white moriage(raised dots of paint) There is also gold on the rim and handle. The words“Hand Painted Made in Japan” are on the bottom with the torri back stamp(Gate of Honor) But it is very faint so I’ve included a photo of a clearer one from a saucer. The pitcher is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and measures 4 ½” in diameter x 2 ¾” high, not including the spout. There is a matching cup and saucer in a separate listing. After military service. He rented a porcelain decorating workshop in the Faubourg Montjovis(Limoges) in 1836, doing export. About 1872 Guerin took over the porcelain workshop of Lebron& Cie. Then in 1877 he bought the porcelain factory that had been established by Jouhanneaud and Dubois in Rue du Petit-Tour(Limoges) And which had been bought in 1867 by the Utzschneider Company of Saurregemines and run by Leopold Dubois. This enlarged company produced a wide range of wares, selling a lot of whiteware and also continuing decoration. Guerin's sons William and Andre joined the company in 1903. In 1911 W. Guerin& Cie merged with the nearby Pouyat factory. Buying 3/4 of Pouyat; the new firm became Guerin& Cie. Possibly both company marks were continued. WWI greatly decreased output. Vintage Ucagco Japan hand painted pitcher w applied flowers. Looks German, exc
Ucagco Watering Can with Applied Flowers 6 1/2 in. h(with handle) x 3 in. w(without handle and spout) x 6 1/2 in. w(with handle and spout) 12 oz. This beautiful pitcher is in excellent condition and is reminiscent of an old Meissen or Dresden piece. The craftsmanship is beautiful. But not quite as precise as those makers can be- see how the holes in the spout weren't completely finished in photo 3. It is in excellent condition! I have examined each flower numerous times and I found a small chip on the front of a purple flower(on the back of the pitcher, picture 7) I also found a similar but smaller chip on the back of a leaf that is located on the spout. I have cleaned this but it could use more precise cleaning, mainly on the inside. The pitcher is a little off white and seems to have a light brownish wash on it. I believe this is Worcester. Marks unclear, but it's very old and the style is similar to other ones I've seen, you be the best judge. The hand painted flowers are gorgeous, but sadly it's been knocked around in its life. The spout was repaired at one time, two chips on the inside rim at the break. Measures 6 3/8" tall. I try to find any defects but I can't guarentee I'll see them all. No returns unless item is not as described. This is an older piece and therefor is no longer perfect as the day it was made. This stunning ewer or pitcher has a sage/dark green background with heavily applied moriage or slip decoration all around ranging in color from pastel green. Yellow, pink and blue to darker shades of burgundy and cobalt. Two sides and wonderfully hand painted with a floral motif. The absence of any mark or backstamp indicates it was made prior to 1890 when the McKinley Tariff Act mandated that all import/exports be marked with country of origin. CONDITION- The ewer is considered to be in better than age appropriate condition! No chips or cracks in porcelain. 19th Cent. China Pitcher w/ Painted Flower & Leaf Design,Just Lovely,Old Repairs
Found in an old east central Illinois estate. This fine 19th century pitcher measures 9 ½” tall by 8 ½” from spout to handle& has a body diameter of about 6 ¼” This has base wear, wear to the high spots of the handle, a tiny chip or two along the rim’s/spout’s edge, there is one spot of crazing inside the pitcher below the handle. There’s appears to be some“flaking” or“scaling off” of some old“shellac” or some other repair material. We put it under a black light& there appear to be old repairs to the lower portions of the pitcher, but well done in my opinion. The design of blue 6 petaled blossoms, dark pink& green leaves, dark pink“buds” is enhanced by its black“border” at the base, rim[inside& out] on the handle of the pitcher. There is even a small part of the floral/leaf design inside on the spout of the ... morepitcher. This lovely decorative footed ewer or pitcher has a pretty hand painted floral design on the front and back. The large floral decoration is highlight in gold outlines. It has a sweet gold trimmed spout with an embossed face and border. Directly below the spout. About midway down, is an interesting embossed Phoenix bird head. The foot is also embossed with gold spattered swirls. The green and gold ornate handle adds an interesting touch. Hi. For sale a small antique redware pitcher or creamer. The pitcher is cream colored with hand painted brown slip glaze Pennsylvania Dutch Tulips. Leaves, dots and lines. There is a chip on the bottom rim painted band(see picture) There is some crazing and some paint is wearing off due to age. I took close up pictures to show the paint fading and crazing. Crazing is mostly on the top of the pitcher or creamer. You need to look close to see the crazing- there is also a few tiny pottery marks or holes from when it was made. This incredibly beautiful pitcher dates from the short period of 1897-1903. While Bauer and Rosenthal were merged into one company. The piece is in absolutely perfect condition. Not a nick, chip or scratch anywhere! The gold trim on the rim and handle show no signs of wear anywhere. The painting is just stunning! the flowers and fruit leap off the surface with vibrant color and detail. I have not seen any other pieces like this anywhere- a must for collectors of Bavarian china! Large Antique Hand Painted Ewer Pitcher Gold Edged Signed P.K. 1900 17" x 8"
This is a beautiful handpainted antique ewer or pitcher. It is large in size and stands 17" high and it is 8" wide. Weighing just under 4lbs. The only markings are a handpainted signiture on the lower"cupid" side which reads"P.K. 1900. I am unsure if that is a date, but going by appearance this vase could very well be that old. The handle and base are painted in gold paint and the edges of the scenes are done in a raised gold border. One side depicts a cupid on a chariot of doves, and the other side depicts a man ad women in fancy old-fashioned costumes. The rest of the vase is painted a sky blue. It is in good antique condition with subtle fading and slight paint loss throughout. Very OLD Vintage Milk Cream Pitcher Hand Painted 13" High
This is a very old milk pitcher. I have had it in my china closet for years, and have had many compliments. I believe this was a hand painted piece done by Victorian ladies, as we would now do ceramics. The porcelain is paper thin, with no chips or cracks, there is an under glaze small dent, which is hardly noticeable, see photos. The pitcher measures 6" high by 5" across bottom. No chips, cracks or wear, the colors are stunningly bright and vibrant, the only exception is slight gold loss on the handle, but it does not take away from the beauty of this piece. Antique Victoria Carlsbad Horn Shaped Stamped Hand Painted Pitcher / Ewer
Here is a Antique Victoria Carlsbad Austria brown stamped odd shaped Pitcher/ Ewer from the late 1800s to early 1900s. There are no chips. Cracks or crazing on it there are two seams on it each one has a small bump where it meets the base. The handle is a three pronged twig or root and is intact, there is a bell shaped opening under the rim and it is decorated with hand painted purple and yellow flowers.
