Fisher, ... moreLyons, NY" along with a large number"3" which was hand applied in cobalt blue. This piece dates somewhere within the last quarter of 19th Century and has a cobalt slip-trailed dragonfly decoration below the signature. The clay used to make this jug was rich in iron which is why it has an earthy, orange coloring. There's very minor glaze wear around the inside of the opening rim along with a few flecks/tiny chips, the interior of the crock looks virtually mint. On the exterior, there's an old, thin, darkened hairline that's between 1/4" and 1/2" from the bottom and travels almost halfway around the crock. It's tight and doesn't appear to go all the way through to the interior walls. Also, there's a very faint line to the right of the dragonfly that you can barely make out in photo number 8. Again, we checked the interior with a bright light and don't see it. We do our best to disclose flaws and provide detailed information. All our items are returnable within two weeks, no reason needed anyway but these hairlines are not structural threats. There's no chips or chunks missing out of the bottom rim and no pits on the sides. As the pictures show, it's a handsome old crock that displays very well. Found just this week, this 3 gallon stoneware crock is a rare piece of Americana from Western New York State that we offer to the highest bidder without reserve! Good luck! Antique Pottery Stoneware Crock Jug Herb Beer with Nice Handle
Description: T his is an old Beer Crock with a handle found in an old barn here in New Hampshire. There are no markings to identify it but the pronounced lip means that it held contents under pressure and the cork could be tied down to resist the pressure. The bottle is about 8 ½” tall and 4” wide. There are a few nibbles here and there but it remains in pretty good shape with nice color as you can tell from my pictures. Please look at all the pictures to help you judge condition for yourself. Keep Coming back to see what the relicseeker has to offer. I travel all around New Hampshire. Vermont, and Northern Massachusetts scouting out places for hidden gems. Up for auction is a Vintage Crock Or Jug. Thinking it was used for kerosene or maybe water. This Crock is ceramic.Porcelain stoneware. Inside is glazed outside has a flat base ceramic coating. I believe this was added to liquid proof the crock. This crock has J-606 or J-GOG embossed into two sides of the crock. Beautiful stoneware jug with original cork. The bottom is a rich dark brown with a creamy top. I love the shape of the handle with it's swirl effect. There are no makers marks that I can see so I have no idea who the craftsman was. It does show pride of craftsmanship. It measures 8 inches tall and 4 inches wide at the widest point. Awesome Antique Stoneware Brown Jug or Crock!
This is a WONDERFUL! VERY OLD stoneware jug or crock! It has some interesting imperfections. It has a beautiful rich brown glaze on the inside and outside. There are some very minor chips in the underside and edge of the lid. Other than that it is perfect! There are no cracks or damage anywhere else. It is about 8 inches from handle to front and roughly about 6 inches tall. I have no idea how far back this goes in my family. It truly looks like it could have sat in one of their pioneer homes of the 1800s. There is no mark on the bottom. I am setting a reserve of $55 on this. Thanks for bidding!

It stands 11 1/2 inches tall and is 6 1/2 inches wide. Much speculation as to its intended use and concluded that it was designed to be used for some type of alcohol beverage storage/ aging, thus the flat sides allowed for rotation. Up for auction is this stoneware jug from The T. Eaton's Co. Toronto.13" tall by 7" wide. This company is no longer in business. I have never seen another of these in many years of collecting. Mint condition.No chips. Cracks or repairs. Refer to pics. The light area on front of lip is not a chip, but where brown glaze is not covered from manufacture. Nice piece for the Eaton's collectors. Is this genuine antique 19thc Stoneware Jug covered with a deep dark layer of Albany Brown Slip Glaze and fitted with a Pour Lip Spout for your liquid refreshment, did anyone say Moonshine? This is an American pottery piece manufactured in the post 1850 time frame for utilitarian use but now elevated into a country collectible with much charm from yesteryear just for you! Stoneware Jug stands 10" tall and measures 7 7/8" across the base diameter formed in a slight gumdrop shape with well formed loop strap handle flowing right into a pointed pour lip spout neck fitted with an old cork that moves in and out freely at will. Slight dishing of neck to catch drips(lest you shall waste any good liquid refreshment to spillage! Scale weight is a rock solid heavy ... morefive pounds! Slight lighter brown kiss mark haze near bottom due to uneven firing in the making. Very thick chocolate brown overglaze with no flaking or fry anywhere coats the exterior with a plain bottom. Unsigned, and no capacity mark, but I would call this a goodly one gallon size. this is a rare antique handmade stoneware pottery crock from mid to late 1800's it is completely made by hand out of thick. Heavy stoneware with extremely thick walls. it has and exquisite salt glaze finish. With beautifully painted cobalt stylized figural detailing. it has a dual handle and a large mouth. It is near museum quality, not one chip on the whole crock, which is EXTREMELY RARE any imperfections on the crock were done in the creation process. Like any discoloration. crocks of this age and quality hardly ever come to market. it measures 12 1/2 inches in diameter x 13 inches tall and has a wonderful patina from age. i believe it is a 5 to 6 gallon crock.very heavy piece. there are a couple very very tiny hairline cracks as shown in the last pic. The front reads HAYNER LOCKBOX 290 DAYTON OHIO and it has ES&B in raised letters on the bottom. 1920 brought in the beginning of Prohibition and the end of the Hayner Distilling Company and their Mail Order Whiskey business. I have two vintage whiskey jugs. Brown on top and beige on bottom. I cannot find any kind of markings on them. I think they may be 5 gallon judging by the measurements of others that look similar on eBay. They measure approximately 15 inches tall by a 10 inch diameter. Large and heavy. I have a 10 lb. scale and each is over on that so I am unsure as to the exact weight. Will update when possible. I cannot find any cracks, there is one chip on the botton of one jug as pictured.

This is an antique primitive beehive crock jug that belonged to my Mom. It appears to be very old but does not have any markings on the bottom. The handle is bent. But appears to be the original handle. There are a few spots where the glaze did not stick to the crock when it was glazed. There is a dark spot near the top of the jug. There are also a few chips around the top and bottom edges. The jug is about 10 1/2" tall and 25" around at the widest point. PayPal only please. This whiskey jug was in my grandparents garage for years. It is a gallon ju g made of heavy stoneware ceramic with a glass like salt glaze on the top and inside. There are no markings. The jug has a carved wooden stopper. The glaze is unusual in that the color is not as brown as other jugs like it. But a blue black color except for right around the bottom edge of the glaze which is brownish. The ju g stands 12 inches tall and the diameter is 6-1/2 inches. Thanks for looking!

Is marked"Brennerberg Vineyards The Jacob Brenner Wine Co Wine Growers Doniphan Kansas" I am relisting this due to it having a flaw/repair that I did not catch the first time. Has had a hole made in the bottom(possibly to make a lamp) Then patched, then the bottom painted to conceal flaw. Paint matches the color of the glaze. You can not tell by looking at the bottom. Using a flashlight to look through the top, the patched hole looks to be 2" x 2" or 3" or 3" Hard to tell by looking through the small top. Good Condition, no chips or cracks. Some minor scratches. Up for bid is an Old. Wide mouth, white, Western Stoneware Co. Canning Jar Crock with original bail and thumb lock lever clamp. The crock measures 6-7/8 inches tall and the base is 5- 5/8 inches in diameter. There are a couple of minor nicks on the underneath side of the lid. Missing glaze and small nicks on the lid where the bail handle latches down, and some crazing. There is also a manufacturers defect(picture 6) The handle still has some of the original blue paint(picture 5) and some rust. The lid is embossed as follows: Western Stoneware Co. Monmouth, Illinois and the bottom is marked with a number 3. Very nice old crock. All items are offered and sold in“AS IS” condition. Up for auction is a nice 5 gallon stoneware star water crock. There are a hair line crack midway down one side and a spider crack on bottom but still very solid. Lid has two small chips but in nice shape other wise. Spout is loose needs to be tightened. Look at pictures any questions ask. Thanks for looking!
