I am not sure of the wood but it is a very deep dark brown. The mirror has been replaced my me as I wanted to use this on my own antique dresser. The frame of the mirror. And stand are in very good estate condition. See images. I bought this from a dealer in the St Petersburg area of Florida. Their expert there told me this was from the late 1880s. I am sure he told me the wood but I have forgotten it now. He did mention the provenance was from the New England area. This measures- approx. 18" high x 15" long x 6-1/4" deep. Weight- approx. 4-1/2 lbs. It has round feet and the mirror frame is removable. There is some cracks and small chips and dings from age and use. The finely detailed floral and rope motif can adorn any high end piece of furniture. These are circa 1840. Solid brass. On the back is stamped 1706 on all of them. They measure 1.75 inches in diameter with a circumference of approximately six inches. They are single post drawer pulls. The pulls will be shipped in a padded envelope.

Antique Five Drawer Bow Front Chest of Drawers
This five drawer bow front chest of drawers measures 47 1/2" high. 33 1/2" wide, and 17" deep. I estimate the date of manufacture somewhere between 1890 and 1910. The pulls and key guards appear to be original but I cannot verify that for certain. The original brass drawer locks are still in place, but unfortunately we have no key. The front legs have an appliqué that is damaged on the right leg, but we have the pieces that fit. You will also notice that someone cared so much for this piece that the veneer on the top of the chest has been repaired. This is a delicate piece of furniture of light construction. The drawers appear to be made of birch and stained and shellacked. Also, there is some minor rippling of the veneer on the top of the chest, but I consider it minor but flaw enough to mention.

Outstanding early American Empire Chest of Drawers that has been in my family for generations. Quite possibly the work of cabinetmaker Thomas Day. Who worked in North Carolina in the early 1800s. I've been told that this piece dates to the 1820s and is in exceptional condition, despite two small spots of missing veneer and one damaged drawer knob. I'm told that everything on it is hand made and stunning. Restored, it would be much more valuable.

Be sure to add me to your! This late 1800's SOLID WALNUT AND MARBLE TOP COMMODE has WALNUT BURL TRIM and ORIGINAL BRASS HARDWARE. It has one long drawer and two small ones. Beautiful walnut veneer adorns the middle of the door and three drawers. All drawers have deep dovetailing. In the late 1800's the commode provided the wash-up and refresh area. Behind the door area is room for the water pitcher. The matching basin or bowl. Soap dish, vase and other items were displayed on the marble top. The distinctive brass hardware is original. The heavy marble top lifts off and could be centered better than it is in this picture. The marble has several small filled holes near the back, where a splash-back piece would have been attached to the top. This commode is small and compact and provides good storage. Beautiful Handpainted Circa 1895 Cottage Tall Dresser Is Unique
Here is a beautiful and unusual handpainted cottage tall chest on castors. This is circa 1895. I love the black background with pink flowers like lilacs and roses on each drawer. The top mount, side posts and bottom crest. It has green trim borders along with gold borders as trim too. There are two smaller drawers over four deeper ones. It measures 62" high to the top of the two knobs. 43 1/4" wide and 22" deep. It is partially wrapped in shrink wrap since it was stored that way. I pulled it down for pictures but it keeps it protected and easier to move while in storage. It does have scratches and nicks from being over 100 years old as shown in the pictures. One leg was broken in the past but was professionally repaired and is hard to see. It was that way when I bought it years ago, I have moved twice since then and never had ... morea problem but do want to mention it. Antique Pine Dressing Table with Framed 3 Sided Mirror
This is a beautiful pine dressing table. It has carved detail around the border of the mirror and on the doors of the table. The mirror comes off if desired. The sides of the mirror are movable. Each side of the dressing table has a cabinet with a shelf and in the middle there is a drawer. Everything is original. It has a few scratches and stains as you can see but nothing major at all. Some of the pieces of wood are separating a very little bit as old pieces will do but again nothing major at all. It's absolutely beautiful and I've enjoyed it for many years. Set of 2 Eastlake 1880 Antique Ash Marble Top Bedroom Chests or Dressers. This charming pair of chests or dressers with marble tops was carved of solid ash hardwood about 1880. During the late Victorian or Eastlake period. The warm finish is in excellent condition. Engraved rosey brass hardware is original. Marble tops have been polished and sealed to resist stains. Drawers have round"pin and cove" dovetail joints, characteristic of the era. Delicate incised"spoon" carving is picturesque on this American made antique furniture. The dresser has a swivel mirror with original curved bevel glass plus candle stands. Size is 43" wide. 21" deep and 79" tall. A very fine antique. Circa 1870's, carved walnut Renaissance/Neo Grec marble top pier mirror. There are incised lines with the original gilt decoration. Very imposing carved crest and finials, and base, with palmettes. The unit measures 9'4" 112" tall by 37" wide by 13-1/2" deep. The mirror measures 71" tall by 23-1/4" wide. Excellent condition: original finish, walnut without chips or crack. The original back support for the stand with mirror frame is missing, and replaced with plain wood boards. The marble is without cracks, chips, or stains. The mirror has no damage, two minor backing spots.

This looks as if it would have fit well in a castle- but seriously is a very large and unusual piece. Circa around 1840, pre-civil war, is made of pine with a dark reddish-colored stain. Measures 58.5 inches wide, 25 inches deep and 64.5 inches tall. Has huge drawers for lots of great storage, each drawer is about 10 inches tall. A very handsome antique Federal. Circa 1810, bow front mahogany chest of drawers. The front posts are carved as twist rope and reeded spool, the feet as cylinders. The drawer fronts are uniform flame mahogany veneer. The top is of two solid boards, the posts solid, the sides of veneer. It measures 40" tall by 41" wide by 18" deep at center. Very good plus condition: original finish, a few minor old veneer patches on skirt and some larger on lower sides. Old brasses and knobs are old replacements to originals. Top boards without wear, cracks or spots.

Very Nice Antique Empire Style Dresser with hand carved columns, flame mahogany
Hi. And thanks for looking! This listing is for a real antique empire style dresser. This is a good sized piece, 47 inches high, 42.5 wide, and 23 deep. There is three drawers on the bottom and two up top, all with hand cut dovetails. I think the bottoms of the drawers as well as other parts are all one piece of wood with no seams. The front has beautiful flame mahogany veneer which is in fairly good shape except on the top drawers, which have slight curve. Along each side of the front are greek colums with hand carved details top and bottom. The top of the dresser is two boards that have been painted to look like wood grain. There is a gap in between them, due to age I suppose. All the drawer pulls are clear glass, I don't think they are original, but they are old, and some don't match exactly. A very nice antique. Circa 1830's, Empire Period solid mahogany chest of drawers, with the drawer fronts in flame mahogany veneers. The columns are veneer wrapped around, with carved capitols. Case is on four ball feet. The drawers and secondary wood is pine. The top is of three mahogany boards. The sides have recessed panels. Chest measures 53" tall by 50" wide by 24" deep. Very good plus condition: original unworn finish, flame veneers very fine. The lock to the top center drawer is missing, four other drawer locks present. The Chippendale style brass escutcheons are old replacements for the Empire style originals. Minor chip to edge molding around the top boards. Back boards with shrinkage cracks masking taped over.

This is an incredible walnut 11 drawer gentlemen's chest or highboy circa 1880. I think the chest is European but I can't decide. The chest is quite tall at 63" 43 1/2" wide, and 20 3/4" deep. All hardware is original and outstanding. The finish has a wonderful aged patina. The chest needs 7 drawer stops and a small piece of trim attached. Large Empire Style Antique Chest of Drawers Cut Glass Knobs c1870 Solid Cherry
This beautiful Empire style chest of drawers came to me from the estate of a collector. We believe it to be constructed of solid cherry and is dates to the 1870s. It features one deep drawer on the top and three standard drawers below. The front of this piece is carved with turned pieces on either side. The cut glass knobs are original and in very nice shape(no major cracks or other issues) We will remove these knobs and wrap them separately prior to shipping. Excellent condition with only some very minor condition issues(light surface scratches and a minor split to one of the drawer fronts) All drawers are dovetail construction– the bottom drawer is a bit sticky– we will take care of that prior to shipping. It is not overly ornate. But it does have fretwork brackets, supports and decorative bar that frame a floral painted tin insert. It would have had another small piece below the shelf, but that is missing and all you can see is the lighter shade mark where it would have been. The good thing is that you are able to see the painted insert better without that piece. The wood looks like walnut. ... moreBut I am not an expert at determining these things. It appears to have the original finish. Although it is quite worn and generally a bit distressed, but the shelf is in sound condition. There is also that missing piece that I mentioned previously. The painting has an aged, crackled and mottled appearance. There are two eyelet holes on either side of the side brackets to hang the unit on the wall. Measurements of the shelf are 20" width x 6-1/2" depth and it has a height of 9-5/8" The shelf weighs 2 pounds 1 ounce. It is very attractive to display almost anywhere in the house where a shelf is needed. It would also work nicely in an entry hall or kitchen to hold keys and small items. Thanks for looking.
