Antique Vintage American Standard Tub Controls With Spout 1960's
Here is a nice old tub control valve and spout. This was removed from a 1960's-era bathroom. This could be used as a shower control(without the spout) Or as a tub-only control. There is an adjustable sleeve that threads onto the valve body to adjust for wall thickness(see pics 6-7) This style of trim was found on American Standard fixtures in the 1960's. It appears that all trim pieces are chrome-plated zinc. All trim pieces are in very nice shape. With a few nicks and scratches here and there but nothing terrible. The worst is a scratch across the cold knob, but most of the other imperfections will be concealed when all of the pieces are installed. The spout has spots of worn/scuffed plating. And a few small dings on the front(see pics) Both of the valves/stems move freely. Though I would expect to rebuild/replace all of the washers ... moreand packing before use. The inlets are 1/2" copper sweat connections, and the spout nipples are still installed(see pics) The set will be broken down into components for shipment.
