Matching pair of mid-century chairs in premiere condition. This pair of chairs has been with the same family for many decades. And, as you can see, have rarely seen use. They were recovered within the last five years, with careful attention paid to replicating the the original tufted backs, and come from a smoke free, pet free, and mildew free home. The timeless fabric is a combination of reddish/rust, abode, and cream, and is stain, wear, tear, and odor free. The arms have covers, as shown in the photos, which can be removed. There are some minor age related scuffs/marks on the maple legs and arms, but they do not detract and only confirm the chairs’ vintage. I took pictures with flash and without flash. Which is way some photos look darker than others. Construction is solid. Pair of Matching French Upholstered Parlor Chairs These may be 18th or 19th Century Chairs. But I am not sure. I have not examined inside of the spring/ cushion compartment. There are upholstery springs in the seat, as I can see their impression in the bottom cover. They have a great look and are very high line style. The wooden frame is plastered or gesso. And the plaster is chipped almost everywhere as depicted in the photos. These could be restored and made to be extremely decorative and valuable. Up for sale today is a wonderful Pair of Mid Century Chairs. In the great orange and rustic colors. I do not know the maker of these wonderful chairs. I know the lady who I got them from had them boxed and covered up in her very immaculate house since she bought them in 1970's. Its a great story. The chairs are not stained. Torn or discolored. These two carved hard wood chairs have been refurbished. And are in good or better condition. The wear is uniform, not sure what has been done to the wood, but the cushion fabric has been replaced. For sale is a rather unusual pair of wooden chairs. The chairs are made of a dark wood and measure approximately 39" tall by 19 1/2" wide(measured across the back at the widest point) The backs are decorated with the image of Mephistopheles(a devil/demon from the Faust legend) The seats are wooden and decorated with dots in the shape of a pentagram. I am not sure what kind of wood these are made of. They are in great shape but do show signs of wear in places. There are scratches on the legs and discoloration in places. The bottom has cracked on the bottom of one of the chairs but they are sound to sit on(just not terribly comfortable) Please see pictures. Here you have a pair of Windsor Stepback chairs. The construction appears to be pegged. Without nails or screws. The photographs show wear consistent with age and use, but not abuse. Both chairs sturdy enough for use. The rocking chair measures 31.5 inches from the floor to the top of the rail, 26 inches from out side edge of arm to arm, the seat depth is 17 inches, and seat height is 15 inches from the floor. The straight chair is 36 inches high, 26 inches wide, seat depth is 17 inches, and seat height is 18.5 inches from the floor. I can put my hand on my heart and state the chairs are made completely of wood. I have no idea what wood. The chairs are located in the greater Butlerville, Indiana area and must be paid for and picked up within 10 days of auction's end.
