Circa 1760 Colonial American Highboy.
I inherited this American highboy from my mother. It is a married piece. The hardware on the base is not original to the bottom drawer. There is some damage to two of the feet as can be seen by the photos. I was told after sending a wealth of photos to an auction house in the NE that it would fetch 1200-2500 at an auction in it's current state. I am simply selling this because I do not want to fret over antique& to raise money one a business venture creating ADHD friendly iBooks for children. The date is based on what my mom told me. The person who contacted the auction house said the date maybe true but it is hard to pinpoint since it is a married piece. I am selling the three antiques to raise money for a social business venture http:www.adhdgolf.com. We are crafting a series of iBooks for the parents and coaches of pre adolescent ... moreADHD kids who want to learn how to play golf. Also included will be examples how parents can use these golf practice strategies with their ADHD child at home. By selling these antiques. I will be able to complete my equipment needs to film my golf instructor friend for these iBooks and thus keeping the cost affordable at 2.99-4.99! Any one who pays via Buy It Now will also get a thank you on the web site as well as on the thank you page of each of these pre adolescent golf iBooks. Posted with

Antique Chest-on-Chest, Charles II (17' cent.), Oak
This is an original Charles II chest-on-chest of the latter half of the 17th century(1600's) It is in sound operating condition with no alterations. And few repairs, if any. I have used this piece in my home as the frame. Case and dove-tailed drawers function well. The drawers have pillowed fronts with molded panels. And have brass drop pulls and escutcheon plates. The color and finish are very old and have not been molested. The bun feet may have been added later, but can be easily removed as they are each attached with one large hand-made screw. This piece is intact with no broken or missing pieces. However, some minor age deterioration can be seen at the top of a back panel on one of the drawers. The two-board top of the upper cabinet has a slight separation at the joint of the two boards, but does not split from the grain. This is ... morea serviceable, functioning and very attractive piece of furniture. Measurements of the assembled piece are; 49" wide x 25" deep x 44 3/4" high. Each of the drawers has solid walnut faces. The sides and bottom are crafted of poplar. These drawers are hand dovetailed and their bottoms are deeply chamfered and slid into rabbets in the sides. 1775 "Museum Quality" Hepplewhite Gentleman's Chest Federal Furniture Georgian
A showpiece of"museum quality" Hepplewhite Gentleman's Chest.with Cuban Mahogany. circa 1775. This piece is worthy of being showcased in a museum. Based on its rarity, craftsmanship, style, and overall impression, including the highly figured"now extinct" Cuban Mahogany.I restore antiques and customize furniture. When I first laid eyes on this chest, I knew it was an amazing historic treasure, truly love at first sight. I meticulously& lovingly restored it from top to bottom including structural as well as esthetic restoration including veneer restorations. I have seen lots of chests. This one immediately stole my heart with it's wonderful cockbeading, 24 original hand made drawer pulls and tight grain gorgeous figured Cuban mahogany. Cuban mahogany is known as the"Wood of Kings"It earned this title ... morehaving been used to make beautiful furniture, paneling and works of art. for royalty for centuries.Cuban mahogany has been used in association with the White House in Washington, D.C.to panel some walls. This is most likely a Hepplewhite style Gentleman's/dressing chest. It is also possible this is a physician/dentists chest used in their office. It is made from the now extinct. Gorgeous highly figured Cuban mahogany. This is some of the most beautiful wood I have ever laid eyes on. It is so tightly grained with gorgeous figuring, you will never find any wood today that comes close to this precious wood, it is extremely rare and awe inspiring. As you can easily see the cabinetmaker who hand crafted this chest was not only a highly skilled craftsman. He was also an artist. You will notice the wonderful grain patterns he laid out across the chest front at 45 degrees. His selection of woods for the entire chest is amazing. The precise details such as the inlay/crossbanding on the lids of the fitted interior compartments as well as the keyway joinery on the fitted interior rear boxes and precisely fitted lids is stunning. The crossbanding on the lids is mahogany/kingwood, the string

Rare American Federal Mahogany Miniature Chest of Drawers, New York c. 1800-1815
CHEST OF DRAWERS ANTIQUE CHAIRS TABLES BRONZE SCULPTURES FINE PAINTINGS SCHOOL OF ORIGIN SUBJECT LAMPS. LIGHTING FINE AMERICAN FEDERAL MINIATURE MAHOGANY CHEST OF DRAWERS New York or possibly New Jersey. C. 1800-1815 Item# 1402XIP15PS An exceptional specimen. This well preserved work was likely crafted as a salesman's sample to assist in selling larger forms of the same chest. It was crafted with utmost care and attention to detail, allowing potential customers to see exactly what level of craftsmanship they could expect in a full size chest of drawers. The top is a beautiful show of straight grains framed in a double-bead of stringer inlay in the New York manner(see Montgomery, p. 31) this affixed to the case with screws through cross braces both fore and aft of the case, these presumably sliding into the sides with small dovetails. ... moreThe finest selections of curly and straight grain mahogany cover the white pine core, the veneer cut in the typical"ten sheets to the inch" of the period- measurements of the veneers range from 0.092" 0.11" in depth throughout. The interior is simple and clean, each drawer blade backed by white pine core and a pair of flanking runners resting in grooves on either side. Each drawer is perfectly cut with neat and clean dovetailing. The bottom boards very lightly chamfered along the edges and set in the sides above the thin runner, the backs tacked with two to three iron brads. The little brass knobs on each drawer are period but are not original, the light impressions of early brass knobs still evident on the facade, though the replacement was very respectful of the case and utilized the original holes. Each drawer is edged in a bright stringer inlay. The back is a single plank of white pine that has split from shrinkage over the years, the edges nailed with large square forged iron nails in even rows, each untouched. The whole of the form rests over refined and boldly splayed French feet flanking the hollowed-serpentine skirt. This skirt is very distinctive. Mo

Beautiful 18th Century Cherry Hepplewhite Chest of Drawers
Up for auction this week we have a beautiful American Cherry chest of drawers circa 1790 that was most likely made in the lower New England states. The Cherry wood on this chest has a very nice warm color and patina on an old refinished surface that is in excellent condition. There are a couple old repairs to the drawers and to the bottom front leg section area as to be expected of a piece this age. And the hardware has been replaced through the years. As you can see in the photos all the original glue blocks are still intact on the bottom of the piece. Even with the repairs which are done very well. This is a beautiful example of a late 18th century period Cherry Hepplewhite chest with a beautiful color and overall look. The drawers are nicely dovetailed and are in fine working condition. The backboards are all original as far as I can tell ... morewith possibly the exception of the narrow top board. But I think that one is original also. This piece. With the exception of the above mentioned repairs is 100% original. No replaced parts or pieces to the drawers, back, top, or anywhere else. We have listed this fine piece at an exceptionally low starting price. I have seen similar pieces sell in the $1000-$1200. range. This is really great find at an incredible price if you are a collector of fine early American furniture.Measurements: 37 1/2" wide x 19" deep x 37 1/2" tall This piece can be picked up at our location or will have to be shipped freight. Antique Dresser in excellent condition with matching headboards and bed frames
This dresser is in almost pristine condition considering its age. Comes with matching head boards with their bed frame boards. Note that due to the age. The frames may be designed for a bed size that is slightly different than the size that they make modern beds. We were able to put in a king size bed using both headboards and just the outer frame boards and it worked perfectly. We do not know the exact age but we were told by the antique store that it is the late 1800's or early 1900's. A sticker inside shows it is Genuine Mahogany by J.L Metz Furniture Co. The drawers glide in and out smoothly, it's really well made.

Signed--Circa 1725--Pierre Migeon II---Chest of Drawers---Needs Restoration
For Sale is a Very Rare Circa 1725 French Country Provincial Chest of Drawers(Commode) made by the Great Furniture dealer& Maker PIERRE II MIGEON or his workshop. It's in need of restoration. The top& the front feet need help. It also needs some of the brasses replaced. I believe the escutcheons are original along with their large iron locking mechanisms(I don't have the key) Pierre II Migeon(1696-1758) has a very famous cabinetmaker of the wealthy and nobility. He took over his father's. Pierre I, business circa 1739. Pierre Senior had developed a very successful furniture business when his son took succession. In his Furniture Shop on the Rue de Charenton in Paris he sold furniture of his own and his contemporaries such as; Dubois. Boudin, Peridiez. Pierre II would put his stamp on all furniture sold from his shop. His ... moresignature stamp was"MIGEON" but the"N" was in reverse. This stamp was used by Pierre III then his wife until circa 1785 when the business dissolved. This Chest is made of Walnut or Tulip wood(which I believe has never been refinished) and it's secondary wood is oak. It is Signed"MIGEON" with the"N" in reverse) in a few places on the back. It also reads"Made in France" on the bottom probably for export. Even more RARE is it's Original PAPER LABEL that reads"Made in France" Paris" It measures 38" Wide by 31 1/2" Tall by 17 1/2" Deep. It is a wood peg construction and wide dovetailed drawer construction. Each Drawer has it's original large iron keyed locks. I do not have the key. The wood has many worm holes. Keep in mind that this museum piece will need restoration. Also this is a Pick Up Only. Unless you have a Fedex Account that will box it and ship it then I would be willing to deliver it to the Fedex Store. 18TH CENTURY NEW HAMPSHIRE CHIPPENDALE FAN CARVED BANDI FOOT MAPLE DRESSER
EXCEPTIONAL MAPLE 18TH CENTURY CHIPPENDALE NEW HAMPSHIRE FAN CARVED BANDI FOOT DRESSER With our compliments we are delighted to offer you this very rare 18th Century maple New Hampshire Chippendale period fan carved bandi footed chest in a 3 over 2 drawer format with a overhung top and dovetailed joined case. Bandi Fotted Chippendale period chests are very scarce finds. Counting this one we have seen a total of three specimens come out of New England estates during the last year. Each has realized prices much greater than the modest price we are offering this one for.The entire lower case is finished with an original amber to light reddish paint finish. The top appears to have been redone several decades ago. It is a most flattering and professional restoration with attention to detail not obvious to an untrained eye. This very high quality ... moremaple with strong Birds Eye and figure grain present. This chest is adorned by wonderful period American Chippendale brasses as opposed to the English brasses which were almost exclusively found on all these period chests. The furniture makers& joiners indigenous to lower Central New Hampshire/Northern Massachusetts were far away from the major trade ports of New Hampshire and the North Shore of Massachusetts. They were compelled to employ the wooden knobs they made for their case pieces. This chest shows very good evidence of these period brasses being installed shortly after its crafting and logically by the family who commissioned it as Chippendale brasses became vogue and more readily obtainable. The chest is further defined by a molded top and drawer facings and fabulous oxidation of the native New England pine secondary woods. It measures 41" long. 21" wide(deep) and it stands 36" tall. Tiger Maple Child's Case Over Chest of Drawers Miniature No Reserve
Bid with confidence. This item has NO RESERVE PRICE. This is a stunning. New, 18th century Old New England-style two-piece Child's Case Over Chest of Drawers. In old New England. A child's furniture was often produced as a miniaturized version of a typical piece, and thus was prized as a smaller showpiece of workmanship. This piece was built at the Coast of Maine. Using solid Tiger Maple, not veneer. I t was hand-finished using a technique known as"French polish. performed by an expert in antique reproduction finishes. The result is a dramatic highlighting of the"tiger stripes. which appear prismatic and three-dimensional in a remarkably eye-catching way. Its beauty is most clearly seen in person. Due to the light-catching effect of the maple curl, thus the pictures do not do this Child's Case Over Chest of Drawers justice. ... moreAll secondary wood is hand-planed Maine White Pine. The dimensions are 31 inches tall. 18 inches wide, 10 1/4 inches deep. Don't lose this opportunity to obtain what will surely be a focal point in any room, as well as an elegant piece of a bygone era. Please remember to check back for my upcoming auctions. Including a Tiger Maple Queen Anne Lowboy which will start at 99 cents. Please note: Shipping is free. But there will be a 30 dollar fee for customized wooden crating, to protect against rough handling in shipment.

18th Century English oak Queen Ann lowboy or dressing Table. NO RESERVE Welcome to Longs Antiques and thank you for finding us here on eBay. We have been buying and selling Antiques for almost 30 years. And though we've just started on our own here, we ve been selling on eBay for the past ten years in a partnership. We are excited to bring to you fresh estate merchandise as we get it. This VERY nice 18th century English oak Queen Ann dressing table or lowboy came out of a fine estate here in Naples yesterday. It belonged to a VERY prominent business woman and antique enthusiast formally from NYC. It's a charming antique table. It has an older finish. I believe the original hardware. Everything else on the piece seems original except the wood blocks underneath. It was at some point over the last 50 or 100 years reinforced with newer ... morewood blocks and glue. Everything else though is good. Original top. Hardware, legs, draws.a Great old antique that are hard to come by. It does have some staining on the top and what looks like maybe a burn. It stands 28" H X 30" W X 18" Deep. Selling without a reserve. I prefer that it be picked up due to the fragility of the legs. I will pack it to the best of my ability. of which I am very good) but the buyer will need to insure the piece nonetheless. If you want to have it picked up then I will work with you to get the best quote possible and it can remain with us untill that happens. So no worries there. PLEASE READ!
