$11.00 Shipping Condition: Used Location: Westminster, United States This is an exquisite and very old handmade ciborium veil once used in the Sacrament by the Catholic Church to cover the consecrated Hosts. Circa 1700s. ... moreAs I was told by an appraiser for Antiques Roadshow, who was very excited about this item. He said that is European. Very fragile silk is embroidered with silk floss flowers and leaves, a purple heart with a flame coming out of the top, and a purple rose. The embroidery is trimmed with tiny faceted gold and silver metal beads. Some of the embroidery threads are fine, delicate gold. Four small sections of handmade lace flowers are sewn on near the top. There are sections of gorgeous tapestry-like gold ribbon attached to it. The top, embroidered piece was then hand stitched to sections of sturdier linen fabric, and edged with gold openwork metal wire trim. You can see the tiny hem stitches in purple, and then in red, silk thread. The shape is a half circle, measuring approx. 10 inches long by 17 inches wide. The silk fabric shows the age, with some fraying. The green embroidery thread has bled around the leaves, forming an outline to them. Here are three fabulous vintage Catholic Frontal Vestment panels. Total length of all three is nearly 15 feet. The longer one measures 69" long x 21" wide. The other two measure 54" long x 21" wide. They are all three in excellent condition with no stains. Tears, holes or repairs. Bright red and gold colors. Beautiful doves in center of two panels. Vintage Embroidered Christian Vestments
This embroidered stole is exquisitely embroidered in fine detail with gorgeous thread content. There is normal aging to this vestment that just adds to its charm. It is encased in two frames that measure 28" H x 11 1/2" W. The vestment width is 2 3/4" at its narrowest and 4 1/ at its widest. The length is 22" to end of fringe. They are protected by glass. The true colors of the vestment show in the lighter photos. The yellow photos are to show you the frames. Rarely do you see such fine needlework. It is becoming a lost art. This work surely must have been a labor of love. The blues and golds are brilliant and startling. Note the knotting and exactness of the spacing. Thank you for looking at this item up for auction.

Concelebrant vestment is an straight orphrey from neck to hem. 9 items in all. 2 Chasubles. The dove looks like you could reach out and grab it. 3-D effect. It has silver threads and silver discs. Along the top a light blut is used and the entire bird is outlined in red. Really pops. The entire piece is 9 1/2 x 10 inches. Used the best quality material and workmanship. Used in the early 20th century by an EX Chaplin of the US Navy after he served time on the USS Texas. A pair of vintage fabric panels from a Catholic Church. I'm not sure if they were used on the altar or are pieces from a priests vestment. The panels are white see through material and all the trim is silver. There are some small holes as seen in the photos. Being sold as is condition. They measure 50 inches wide and 39 inches tall.

Made of a woven fabric with threads in white, cream and sparkly gold. Appliques are made of a heavy woven fabric in shades of brown, red and orange, with sparkly gold trim highlights. Lined in the same fabric. There is a channel at the top and bottom to pass a rod or cord through for hanging. Condition: There is some very faint discoloration near the top of the decoration if you examine it closely. But otherwise the parament is in good condition. Vintage Byzantine Eastern Orthodox Vestments Lot Communion Liturgy Cuffs Sash
Vintage lot of Eastern Orthodox Vestments. Numerous items. Cuffs, Sashes, other various items. Finely detailed, and extremely ornate. There are over 30 items in this fine lot. These items are from the estate of a local Orthodox Church. A few of these vestments may need cleaned since they have been in storage since the church has closed for a good number of years now. I have not attempted to clean them myself as I did not know the care needed for such fine vestments.
