1860-1960.one hundred years of fashion& accesories Antique Religious Red Silk Brocade Embroidered Priests Vestment Chasuble Poncho This antique religious red silk brocade embroidered Catholic priests vestment chasuble dates from 1900. It is made of a red silk damask weave brocade fabric with a woven floral pattern. Colorful chain stitch embroidery work done in a floral fancy rococo design and gold metallic lamé trim edging, creating a cross on the back. This religious Catholic priests vestment chasuble has a loose fitting poncho style with open sides and is fully lined. The chasuble measures 37 inches long and 26 inches wide. It is in good as-is condition, with a few frayed splits and mended repairs on the silk(see close-up) This is truly a wonderful antique religious textile!
