Take a look at this magnificent piece! It’s a tiger sawn. Quarter sawn table– and I mean ALL over it– including the trunk, the legs, the claw feet, the rolled skirt and the top. It dates from 1900, in refinished condition. It has a split pedestal base with humongous claw feet and legs much, much bigger than normal, on a multi-turned fluted oversized column that splits in the middle, just like a Hastings, although I couldn’t find any manufacturer’s marking on this table. The table top is 54 inches round, with a rolled skirt, which means it isn’t flat but is concave, and really dresses up the table. The selection of veneer used on the top is the secret of this table’s beauty. It’s hard to duplicate this with solid wood, which is why they used lots of veneer back in those days. The veneer on this table top is in really nice condition, and there is only one spot you can see where there was a nick in a corner, which has been all repaired and is now fine. This table is all nice, tight and sturdy and ready for another 100 years of use, after being stripped, sanded, stained in a beautiful dark oak color that brings out the gorgeous grains, and then had multiple hand-rubbed coats of satin sheen lacquer applied for a durable finish that will last for years. It is truly a nice period untouched table. It has a ribbon mahogany top, round corner drop leaves, heavy bold column four legged base, solid cast brass Duncan Phyfe claw foot and built in castors. I normally don’t buy period furniture like this, but I was very impressed by how untouched this piece was. The overall size is 40.5 inches long, 24 inches wide when the leaves are closed, 15 inches wide on each leaf, 52 inches long when the leaves are flipped up. The finish is very nice for being 180 years old. It does show normal nicks, dings and scratches, but I believe it would rub out nicely to make a good presentation.

Antique 1910-20 spiral legged glass ball claw foot table C. 1910-20 ???
This table is very restorable. I put some clamps on the pieces that needed to be drawn together and it will all come back to match up. I've never seen"spiral" legs on an antique before. All surfaces have a lot(many coats) of varnish/stain and will take several coats of remover to get it all off. As a cabinet maker. I tried to determine what species of wood we're looking at here but could not make a determination. The glass balls have a small flat spot on the bottom from being moved around on the floor. All the claw feet are in tact but have stain on them which will all come off. I hesitated listing this on eBay because of the shipping so I did some estimating and figured I would build a small crate that would transport it without damage. I'll either freight it or UPS it. No way to weigh it and I think it goes about 50 ... moreto 60 lbs. crated. The price in the listing is shipping included. I moved the handling time to 3 days because of cratingand carry to UPS store. This table needs some repair work done as you can see in the photos. I don't have much info on the table as I acquired it from an estate sale a few years ago. I was told at that time that it was over a hundred years old but I've no proof of that statement. It measures about 28 1/2" tall x 23 1/2" wide x 23 1/4" long. This is a very beautiful heavily carved oak pedestal table with 1 extension that is 21-1/2 inches wide and table is 70inches long x 49 with the extension in.Without extension table is around 49 x 49 and 31 inches high.I am not sure of its age but it is stamped on the inside of table The horseman antiques atlantic ave Brooklyn Newyork.
