Rare RCA Victor Dog 3” Tall S&P Vintage Antique Collectible Salt& Pepper Shakers Nipper His Master’s Voice with Corks. The unusual and quizzical pose of the little dog. Nipper, listening to the gramophone has fascinated young& old since the turn of the Century. The trademark image comes from a painting by English artist Francis Barraud. A.R.A. and titled His Master's Voice. It was acquired from the artist in 1899 by the newly-formed Gramophone Company. According to contemporary Gramophone Company publicity material, the dog, a fox terrier called Nipper, had originally belonged to Barraud's brother Mark. When Mark Barraud died, Francis inherited Nipper, along with a cylinder phonograph and a number of recordings of Mark's voice. Francis noted the peculiar interest that the dog took in the recorded voice of his late ... moremaster emanating from the trumpet, and conceived the idea of committing the scene to canvas. Adorable Vintage Antique Kitsch 1950’s Bride& Groom Salt& Pepper Shakers– Made in Japan. The shakers are in excellent condition. No chips, cracks or grazing. Original stoppers. The back of the bench is broken(see photos) but the sides and bottom are in great shape, and the shakers can still sit on it. This item is from my aunt’s estate, where she lived with her mother, husband and sister. She was 103 years old when she died. My aunt loved kitsch and had a lot of it. She tied the shakers to the bench with ribbon, which was her trademark when she loved something(left the ties on) looks like she tied it too hard, which caused the break. These were made by the Porcelain Factory Victoria in Austria. The platter has the makersmark that dates this set to have been made between 1918-1939. The cups and salt and pepper are marked"Czecho-Slovakia" Each item features romantic and clasical scenes. They are all women. Each item is enhanced with Lusterware which is a finish that gives them that rainbow quality, just lovely! The tray measures 8.75 inches long by 6.5 inches wide. Antique/vintage european salt or pepper shaker of a little girl wearing a golden suit wearing pants. Hat and pointy shoes holding a floral basket a very rare shaker. I was told it was made somewhere by the Alps mountains in Europe its from the 1940's by a antique dealer not sure but it definetly does have age. Shaker has a plastic plug on back. Its made of a weird material im not sure its plastic or thin wood. Its hand painted. In good condition has some wear, little color fading on red lips on face, little tiny scratches not much, needs cleaning but still in good shape for being this old. If your looking for a rare shaker this is the one for you very collectible.

Very cute little Salt& Pepper shakers- white bears with Red ears and mouths and blue eyes. One has a red scarf. The other has a blue scarf. they both have corks in bottom. Neither are marked. They look like McCoy but I do not know for sure. There aren't any cracks or chips- the paint has rubbed or chipped off in places. I washed lightly but did not try anything stronger than mild dish soap to get the marks from what looks like scotch tape. They could be cleaned up further. They measure 3 1/4" tall.

Many of the Estate Sales I attend are in the most Magnificent Homes which belonged to extremely wealthy. Successful people. It is absolutely amazing to me how many beautiful things they had that were never used. Possibly they were impulse purchases or more likely, gifts that were never or rarely used. These Charming Pair of Salt and Pepper Shakers inspired by Olde English Toby Jugs. With their cork stoppers are another wonderful find. They stand about 2 ½” Tall and approximately 3” across the tops to the outer edge of handles. The Man’s handle is a little wider than the woman’s. There is some sort of ... moremarking at the underside. But it seems impossible to figure out what it says. I have photographed them so perhaps someone might recognize what it says. There is a little piece of what seems to be perhaps a paper napkin behind the cork stopper on the man shaker. I have not attempted to remove it for fear of breaking it. I will leave that to the new owner. They’re in lovely condition with a beautiful glaze. You can just see that they were very well cared for. Salt or pepper, of course no one is sure.LOL. It is missing its rubber stopper or cork. It has a Betty Boop Look. So I will guesstimate around the roaring 20's to 40's but I can not be sure. AH.
