Antique Cobalt Stoneware Side Spout Pitcher SPONGEWARE Blue
A side spout pitcher with beautiful blue floral design on it. There is a small chip inside the spout. At the base of the pitcher there is a tiny pit mark in the glaze that does not go through. It measures 6 3/4" high. The top opening is 4" and the base is 4 5/8" We do not know anything about this. But it looks nice and is unique. c.1870's-1880's Stoneware PITCHER w/COBALT BLUE DECORATION
This 1 gallon stoneware pitcher measures 9" high and has an ovoid body with seperately applied strap handle and has a nice hand decorated cobalt blue band added for accent in the center. Even though this pitcher is unmarked. One knowledgable collector believed it was made at Sherwood Brothers Potters out of New Brighton, Pennsylvania. There is a few hairline cracks on main body(some are surface age crazing that don't go all the way through and some do go to the inside but structurally the pitcher is sound) Other than the hairlines mentioned. This is a very pretty Austrian ewer or pitcher. It has a cobalt blue spout. Handle and foot. It features hand painted wild flowers on the front. The pitcher is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is some slight soiling and enamel loss. The ewer stands 13 1/8 inches tall. It is marked on the bottom with a crown over a flower that has the initials B? under that it reads Made in Austria, there is an incised 6405. as well. We date this pitcher to the early 20th century.

Hi.This is a beautiful set of a small pitcher and basin.Its been in my mother in laws home for many years.She always had it on display in her bathroom with a plant in it.It is white in color with a beautiful cobalt blue scenery painted all around it as shown. Its not one of those huge ones.The pitcher measures 5 inches tall.6& 1/2 inches across with the handle and 4& 1/2 inches from side to side without the handle.The basin or bowl it stands in measures 8 inches across with the handles and 6& 1/2 inches without the handles. It has no damage to it at all.No cracks.Chips or grazing of any kind.Shes had it a very long time,but cant swear to the age or maker.It comes froma clean,smoke free home.Thank you very much for stopping and have a fun,safe summer.

VINTAGE ANTIQUE POTTERY PITCHER COBALT BLUE WITH PINK FLOWERS
This is a really old pottery pitcher. It is cobalt blue with a raised floral design of pink flowers and green leaves. It does have two repairs(the white spots) which you can see in the pictures. One is near the spout and the other is on the side at the top. I have never seen a repair like this and it is done very well. The repair just needs some paint in matching colors. The pitcher does have a lot of crazing. The pitcher is 7-1/4" high and is 7-1/2 from end of spout to end of wide handle. The bottom is marked with a colbalt blue paint mark which I cannot decipher and there is also a raised rectangular spot that has faint writing that I can't make out. I would think there is some value in this pitcher to go to all the trouble to do the repairs that someone has meticulously done.

ANTIQUE SALT GLAZE PITCHER W/ COBALT BLUE ROSES Fountain Elms #18 Utica NY
In this listing we are offering a very old piece of salt glaze pottery from the Fountain Elms Co. Utica Ny. This is very, very early 1900's. The pitcher is textured in a grayish colored glaze embossed with cobalt blue roses showing stems and leaves. There is no damage in the piece but it shows age like rusting from the clay pottery on handle. There is a gouge type flaw that I show in the last photo. This is original to the making of the piece. I am sure it was done in the firing as it shows a split in the glaze and you can tell something either did it in firing or the glaze wasn't applied in this area. NO CRACKS! The inside of the pitcher is very clean with no stains. I am sure this has always. The pitcher is 7 inches high and spout to handle is 6& 1/2 inches. 1891 Nippon 5" Pitcher Cobalt Blue Gold Beading Mark Hand Painted
Up for sale today are vintage pieces of art pottery from different makers. Most are from the late 1800's. This is a 5" Pitcher from Nippon, blue back-stamp, circa 1891-1911. It has a beautiful floral design with heavy gold beading, I'm not sure if this is an overlay or Moriage decoration. Inside you can see the artist hand grooves as they shaped this piece. It does have some gold loss on the design that was on handle. It measures approximately 5" tall in center with a width of 4 1/4" across bottom. There are no cracks,breaks or chips.

Antique 1900-1940 Cobalt Blue Apple Cider/Lemonade Pitcher
Antique apple cider/lemonade pitcher from the 1900s. By Nippon, handpainted. It comes with one(1) cup. It is in a great condition: no chips, scratches or cracks. There is a flaw: a tiny dark brown dot inside the spout, which occured during the firing in the kiln, because of the speck of sand in the clay. That is a common thing in the porcelan/ceramic items from that era. It still occurs today, of course. It is under the glaze and cannot be removed. Also, there is some loss of gold on the handle. Overall, great condition for the item that is this old. It is 6 1/4" tall, and 8" from the tip of the spout to the end of the handle. It is 7" at the belly and 5 1/2" across the opening, not including the spout.

A flowing wave-like pattern repeats around the bottom of the pitcher. A grapevine curves around the top. The surround of the handle and spout are embellished with laurel wreaths. A design of a Greco-Roman helmet and weapons hangs beneath the spout. The handle is nicely finished with a fern frond. The interior of the pitcher has a high glaze. White& Son of Utica, New York(Whites Utica) This fantastic. 1 liter, blue decorated Gray Salt Glazed Stoneware Pitcher measures approx. 6 3/4” tall and 4 3/4” in diameter at the center of its bulbous form. The surface in intricately decorated with a tree bark form surface with a raised image of a rose and associated leaves on each side. The raised images are decorated in a deep dark cobalt blue and there is also some additional cobalt blue striping to the handle and front of the Pitcher. We have found numerous references that identify this Pitcher as having been manufactured by Whites Utica but it is unmarked and we can not be 100% certain. Excellent Vintage Ironstone USA Cobalt Blue Floral Transfer Wash Bowl & Pitcher
This is an excellent matching set including a wash pitcher and bowl with rich cobalt blue around the edge and bottom of the bowl and around the top. Bottom, and sides of the pitcher, and blue floral transferred images on the front and back of the pitcher. Both have ornate beaded floral details molded into the edges. They are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips, but there might be very light, faint crazing in spots and there is one tiny speck of glaze missing from the edge of the bowl(last photo) The pitcher measures 12" H x 9" from handle to spout, and the bowl measures 15 1/2" in diameter x 4 1/4" H. They will be packed very well, double boxed, and insured during shipping.

Antique Rieti New England Pottery Co. Cobalt Blue and Gold Pitcher
Beautiful antique New England Pottery Co. Rieti pitcher in Cobalt Blue(it really is cobalt blue. Just doesn't photograph well) with gold adornment, abt. 5 1/2" tall, abt 6 1/2" from spout to handle. This has the original Rieti mark of the mailed hand holding a dagger in black, this mark was used from 1886 to 1888 before it was changed to the crown mark. This info is found on p. 89 of"Book of Pottery Marks" by William Percival Jervis and also p. 97 of Marks of American Pottery by Edwin Atlee Barber. According to Barber's book, in 1886 they began making a"semi-porcelain ware in colored bodies, which was decorated in an artistic manner. From"The Encyclopedia of Ceramics" p. 413-Early in 1886 they were fortunate enough to secure the services of Thomas H. Copeland, a modeler and decorator, and commenced ... moremaking a semi-porcelain body. Thomas Copeland in a short time produced some excellently modeled shapes, decorated in a most tasty and artistic manner, one of his best efforts being produced in a rich blue freely ornamented with gold. This piece is in remarkably good condition for a 125 year old piece, it was clearly taken good care of. The cobalt is still a rich color with plenty of shine to it, the gold has worn in some areas but still has nice shine, these pieces don't come up often, rarely with this mark, and even rarer in cobalt. There is very little damage to this piece-see following descriptions of pics stating any damage, a strange thing occurs when the piece is photographed, it shows a lot of crazing, but it is not seen with the naked eye(except inside and on the bottom) 1 is the front that shows a surface scratch under the birds on the right, there are a couple of other surface scratches, less noticeable on the left side above the birds. 2 is the back, there are 2 areas of light surface scratches on this side on the right half of the design. 3 shows a close-up of the gold design on the top front, there are weaker and brighter areas of gold but it is still overall
