An antique. Or maybe vintage, milk jug/pitcher with sweet wild roses transferred onto each side. It has a mark on bottom but almost impossible to make out, I can see the word Fran. Has a hexagonal body with a curved rim and sweeping handle made out of a heavy china. In great condition, no chips or cracks. Measures 6.75" tall. I try to find any defects but I can't guarentee I'll see them all. No returns unless item is not as described. This is an older piece and therefor is no longer perfect as the day it was made. Please scroll all the way to the bottom to see all of the Photos This pitcher has a very unusual shape with an ornate handle as well as raised flowing blue Fleur De Lis. The Base is 5" and the top opening is 3" so it gradually flares out on the bottom. It has curved panels. I believe it is a piece of pottery. However I cannot locate the maker. The lettering on the base is very faint. If anyone recognizes this mark, I would love a shout out! This pitcher is in very good shape with some flakes along the base only. Very interesting looking antique pottery pitcher with a beautiful Fleur-de-Lis pattern. Pretty glaze is a deep gray green. Almost black, with white raised design. I think it is probably English or French, possibly majolica but I'm not sure. No maker's mark and I am guessing at the age-possibly late 1880-1920 but could be later. Chip on bottom, where it doesn't show, 2-3 teeny chips that do show, please see photos. Vintage Antique French figural pitcher in shape of monk friar toby Hallmarked
Friar monk shaped figural pitcher antique vintage old This fellow stands about 8.25 inches tall and about 5 inches across. He is closer to 7 inches at the widest point including the handle. the base is 4 inches across and the opening is 2.75 across ad 4 inches from back to mouth edge. there is a hallmark on the base indicating it is French as best I can read it says Caeil et Montreau inside a cup shape and depose he looks like he has some small blemishes. And wear marks-scuffs on the base, but there was also a note taped to the bottom that said"repaired" I am not sure where the repair is, but I think it is the handle which pretty much makes him into a display piece only in my opinion. Hi. For sale an antique majolica rooster marked Saint Clement. The mark is under the glaze and hard to read but still legible. The rooster is in good condition with no chips or cracks. There are a few iron dot marks from age and there is crazing I can only see looking through the loop. I can see a couple pottery bumps on the back near the bottom base(see last picture. It is in great condition for it's age. The rooster is 12 inches in height and 8 inches wide at the widest point. The handle is solid(in researching hollow handles are a sign of fake St Clement pitchers) and there are no holes other than the hole on the rooster mouth where you would pour out the contents and there is no neon green paint. This auction is for a Superb Pitcher or Ewer made by Doulton of Burslem. England in the late 1800s and sold by the Boston Retailer Abram French& Co. It is Beautifully designed and decorated with a Colorful Floral Pattern and an Art Nouveau design and Tan Matte Finish. The colors and decorations are Very Clear and Bright as is the Gold trim in the spout and the handle. Some might consider this a pitcher while others might view it as an Ewer. Either way. It is Lovely and would make the Perfect Gift for a Collector. It is in Very Good condition. Especially for its age. There are no chips or cracks or repairs. There is fine. Even crazing throughout, which is expected from pieces of this era. It only adds to the character and authenticity of the piece. Antique French Blue& White Transferware Pitcher/jug 19C“Rose de Noel” A lovely. Chubby pitcher or jug from the middle of the 19thC with deep blue flowers and leaves called Christmas Roses or Rose de Noel(as stamped on the bottom) on each side, with a single bloom under the lip and over it as well as a small pattern on the top of the handle. The flowers were applied as Transferware which is a glazed/colored paper pattern(first etched on a copper plate) and placed on the piece. And once the color is transferred, then the piece is fired thus permanently attaching the design and color. This rotund little pitcher measures 5 ¼ inches to the lip and is in perfect condition– no chips. No dings, no cracks– something unusual for its age. RARE 19th Century French Clay Pottery Pitcher Confit Pot Antique Primitive
This is a unique 19th century large French pottery pitcher with a handle and minimal pouring spout. Glaze is mustard gold interior and exterior top half and cream/grey bottom half. Appears to be red clay underneath. The design resembles brick work or a stone wall made of crudely painted marks in green glaze. Probably southern France. Came from an estate with many 19th century French pottery pieces(I have sold all the others) Most of these pottery pieces from that region have flaws in glaze and clay which give them character and this one has many, it is quite primitive. There is crazing/tiny cracks to glaze typical for age. There are no cracks in the clay; there is one chip on the upper rim near the handle and glaze missing underneath the chip on the pitcher vessel. Some of the glaze on the upper rim is worn off, which is common. It is a beautiful ... morepiece. Please see photos for anything not mentioned here as part of the item description. Measurements: 6" diameter upper rim and base(interior upper rim is 4.5" diameter) and 8.25" tall. The last 2 photos are of a similar piece filled with irises that was in an opening scene of 1930's England in the movie The Hours. Antique French Majolica Double Face jug or pitcher 1900
This wonderful French majolica double face pitcher is 8 ¾ inches tall to the top of the handle and 7 ¼ inches across including the handle and spout. The pitcher depicts a woman on the top and when turned upside down it depicts a man. It is really a fun piece. The colors are brown pink and cream with turquoise inside. The handle has a bamboo look. The piece is signed on the bottom France and has an impressed mark with two squares and a circle. We have not been able to identify the mark. But some of these were made by Sarreguemines. It dates to the late 19th or early 20th century. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is one spot on the bottom that is an imperfection but it looks original.

Antique Vintage A. Lantenier French Limoge Bamboo Water Pitcher
This is a delightful and extremely rare piece of Limoges. A stunningly beautiful Alan Lanternier water pitcher from Limoges, France. It is wonderfully decorated with Bamboo Fronds. It has beautiful gold gild work around the trim, spout and handle which is in twisted rope design. Spout has strainer insert. Great craftsmanshp. The mark dates this piece from the 1891 to 1914.The pitcher measures 7.75" high and 4" wide without the handle and 6.25" with the handle and spout. It is a nice size. For its age it is excellent condition. Remember it is well over 100 years old. There are no chips. Cracks or scratches on this piece. The gold trim is in great shape with only very minor wear. This was obviously just put on display.

William Morris 3 Antique French Stoneware Sidepour Pitchers/ Transferware–Ceramic Three stoneware sidepour pitchers from the famous French manufacturer St- Uze located in the Rhone-Alps region since 1789. All are decorated with the characteristic small blue flowers transferware of St-Uze. The tallest pitcher which is 5 inches high is also the oldest. Dating from the 1840’s-1860’s, made by the Revol family company with the‘ Terre d’Acier. Saint Uze’ stamp on the bottom. The bottom of the pitcher has an ondulated ribbon of flowers and decorations on the handle– both signs of very early hand decoration and production. It has a chip on the back rim. A small chip under the spout and a couple of cracks, not surprising for its age, but it still displays beautifully. ... moreThe middle size pitcher is 4 5/8 inches high and very likely dates from the 1870- 1880’s or so and has a very slightly rougher finish than the others. The result of mass production to satisfy the increasing demand for tableware. It has a minuscule chip on the inside edge of the rim. The smallest pitcher measures 4 inches high and dates from the early 1900’s or so. It has a very smooth finish and is a bit whiter than the two others. A sign of production improvements. There is a very faint crack in the interior of the rim. The three make up a very pretty collection and look very smart on display in a kitchen. The flower patterns are all different one from the other but the overall shape and‘chubbiness’ of the pitchers are characteristic of the St Uze production which is getting rarer to find and they have become very collectable. P lease read before purchasing Vintage and antique objects have lived and been used and because of that. They sometimes show it. The condition of the object is described as accurately as possible, including its character flaws. But that is really part of the attraction and enjoyment of an old piece. This Gorgeous American EMPIRE or FEDERAL Pitcher and Bowl set is so Unique and Rare. First is the fact that it has a Hall Mark. Stone Porcelain is incised into the bottom mold around a 5 point star and this is only found on the Pitcher's bottom. Next, is the unique shape or lack there of, of the spout, very Rare. Next, the style of the handle and finally the beautiful French Blue Band that decorated the Pitcher and the bowl are never seen on the open market. The shape and style of decoration puts this set in the period of the American Empire or Federal Period with it's heavy French Influence. The fluting on the neck of the Pitcher and the sides of the bowl is reminiscent of the Neo-Classical Columns, a popular motif during this period. 24Kt gold is used for trim and accenting and there is some loss of it on the handle, rim and belly ... moreof the pitcher. The Pitcher measures approximately 12" tall and 9" in diameter at the widest point. The Bowl measures approximately, 15" in diameter and 5" deep. Consequently, due it's age, you can see crazing occurring in both pieces. There is one chip on the rim of the pitcher and a couple of hairline cracks on the side, but other than that, this set is in Remarkably Good Condition. This is an early 20th Century tall absinthe pitcher made by the St Clair pottery company of France. In the shape of a duck. This pre-prohibition pitcher been in my family since I was a child and looked beautiful for many years on my windowsill next to a plant. It measures almost 14" long as shown in the photo with the measuring tape. I wouldn't use it for water because of its age but it's a beautiful decorative piece and a wonderful conversation starter. Replicas were made of this piece as well as later pieces by the same company and they are identifiable by the open bill of the duck and the curved water hole. On the originals such as these the duck is closed and the water hold can be seen to be flat on the top. What you are seeing here is an original. Not a replica or later piece. Lovely. French Shabby Chic, porcelain 9 1/2" including stopper, Huile(oil) bottle container. Measures approximately 3 1/2" wide. Nicely painted with violets that have a raised center dot, blue wreath and green leaves. Gold gilded writing and trim. Good condition with the exception of a chip on the base corner in the back. There are also some dark specks on the sides of the bottle. Unknown maker but there is a gold mark of some type on the bottom. Only ship USA. Sold AS IS.

Antique Neo-Classical Greek Roman Porcelain Pitcher English French
Up for sale is an antique porcelain Neo-Classical pitcher. This has a Greek or Roman design on two sides. Very similiar to many of the wares that you see that came out of England in the 19th century. The marks on the base are the letter H in black and the numbers 42044 in orange. This measures 7 7/8" tall and is 3 1/2" wide at the top and 4 3/4" wide at the base. Made by the Bernardaud& Co. in Limoges France between 1914-1930 according to the underglaze whiteware mark. It is hand painted all the way around with grapes and leaves on a pastel blue orange and green background. The top of the handle and rim is in gold. ANTIQUE FRENCH POTTERY MILK JUG WITH COMBED BASE, CIRCA 1840
Here I am offering out of my antique collection a lovely old french Milk Jug. Circa 1840. I purchased this jug from an antique dealer about 20 years ago and it has given me much pleasure to display it in my cabinet. I know nothing more about it than what the tag says, Milk Jug(combed base) c.1840. I bought it because I loved it and knew it would look wonderful on display. It has, but now I am at the point in my life that it is time to scale down on my possessions. It has a combed bottom, as the tag says which can give someone a clue as to the exact age of this piece. Clearly it was used often, as you can see the char marks on the bottom where in came in contact with fire. I was told by the dealer that it is c.1840, which is what the card says, and she brought it back from the south of France personally on one of her many European trips. Despite ... morethe few"Imperfections" I had mentioned previously, it is a lovely piece and they add to the beauty of the piece rather than take away from it. Although you can't see in the picture, the front has a lovely design painted on it and glazed into it. The size is 5" tall by 5-3/8" wide.
