The actual slats that are supports on each side are pictured separately as seen in two photos. they stand 87" tall x 10.25" wide) The one side is cracked and needs to be glued and reinforced back together if you are planning on using them again. This grand arch once graced a fine estate during the late Victorian era. It favors a large central medallion type crest. Acanthus leaf with leaf and rose carved swags that are divided by bow ties. This huge piece was a focal point of a double parlor room as it separated the opening between the rooms. Very large and very heavy. Some damage is seen with minor losses to applied trim and rose blossoms. There is also fine white paint splatter, loss to a bow and an old age crack down the crest. The thickness on this piece is almost 4" Stunning and fabulous my dear. Belongs in an antebellum mansion like the one it came from. Wear is consistent with age. Well worth the price. It was originally in the Master Bedroom and was the face of a his and hers closet. There is a pediment at the top with crown molding and Eastlake Spoon carvings. There are 2 fluted pilasters at the sides with carvings. 2 doors with beveled mirrors at the top and a flat panel with carvings below. There are 2 drawers at the bottom. It measures 60.5 inches wide. By 91.5 inches tall. Overall. It is in good condition. The divider between the drawers is missing and the mirror needs resilvered. There are chips in the crown return and the drawers need reworking. For sale an antique Victorian large wall pocket newspaper rack fold out with heraldic blazon style decoration. I believe this is walnut wood. The burl of the pocket fold I believe is walnut. Beautifully carved with cote of arms motif. The frame has a 10" flying dragon on each upper side and leaves all over the frame, and one plain leaf in the center in case you'd like to personalize. The burl front pocket has"L" engraved. The rack measures about 27" x 18" The wood sticks out from the wall about 3" before opening the rack. The pocket expands up to 6.5" Condition: The bottom right corner is about 8" chipped and glued as shown in last two pics. The front burl wall pocket under"L" has a white spot as shown in pic 7. Antique black walnut finish panelled room with huge mantel
Antique wood paneled room in excellent condition! This wood paneling was salvaged from the President's office of a leading Massachusetts newspaper publisher. The paneling and crown molding was taken out very carefully and the condition of the wood itself. Including the finish. Is mint. There are no knots in the wood. It appears to be black walnut but is actually a birch wood with a beautiful walnut finish. The quality craftsmanship is so excellent and so well done that our experts thoug ht it was walnut until they started taking the room apart! It is made out of solid walnut with interesting deco detail. The front door opens and closes. We do not have the key but this can be remade by a locksmith. Here we have a lovely built in walnut faced cupboard with six drawers below from a very nice 1860's Greek Revival home. Over all measures 103" high. And 67" wide. With a pair of two panel doors at the top which opens to deep shelving. Each door measures 24-3/4 wide x approximately 51-1/2" high, and 7/8" deep. The photograph shows the front and back of one of the cupboard doors. Below six drawers paired in three different sizes. All drawers are 27-1/2" wide, and 20-1/2" deep, large drawers are 10-1/2" high, medium 9-1/4" high, small 7-3/4" high. Drawers are dovetail large and wide, sides& bottom made from poplar. Description This is a great piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. It is made of walnut and is currently painted. It was originally a fireplace mantel but the columns were missing and the legs were damaged. We removed the legs. Finished the ends and added a heavy duty hanging system to the back. Simply remove the included hanger from the back. Screw it into the wall and hang the shelf on it. The face of the shelf has ribbed moldings. The ends each have an exquisitely carved corbel. The breast has panels and carvings. It measures 78.25 inches wide. 20 inches tall and is 12 inches deep. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. Please scroll down under this description for additional views. Antique late Victorian hanging cabinet. 29" high, 13 1/2" wide, 8" deep. This old cabinet was made to be built in. It has simple yet elegant crown molding on the front and along the right side- also a little skirting along the bottom right side so it would have been mounted so that the left side butted up to the wall or another cabinet. It is solid walnut with three walnut shelves that are adjustable, substantial brass turning knob hardware on the glazed door, iron L brackets on the top and bottom for mounting. It does not and never did have a back and is constructed of 1" thick walnut. There are two cracks on one panel of walnut in the door frame. The finish is probably original- very alligatored and dirty with some white paint drips and some areas of"bloom" ... morewhere moisture reacted with the shellac. This wouldn't be a difficult thing to restore, you might be able to save the original finish with some denatured alcohol on steel wool and a lot of muscle. This would be a nice little cupboard for a bathroom corner- maybe to the left of your vanity mirror. Also a nice size for a kitchen corner. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN c1890 HAND OIL PAINTED CANVAS ROOM DIVIDER SCREEN WALNUT FRAME
We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Old(1880s/1890s) hand painted room divider or dressing screen. This is a three paneled unit with an ornate, Walnut frame. The frame has spindle accents on the top semi-arches that accent and attach the end panels to the center panel. Ornate brass hinges connect the pieces. The painting is breathtaking. The center panel is a very beautiful woman in a garden/courtyard. She has an upstretched arm touching a white bird(dove? She is wearing a wrap skirt with detailed pattern that includes the face of a monkey. There are some flowers on the ground near her feet. The side panels are floral and again, the detail is superb. The colors are varied and somewhat muted/soft. The canvas is backed with its original felt which is framed with a ribbon trim. There are no artists marks or signatures on the front of the ... morescreen. The screen is in good antique condition. It had been stored in an attic for decades. The side panels have been punctured. One has one puncture, the other side panel has two. The punctures has torn. I feel that the backing can be removed and the canvas can be repaired or the damage can be camouflaged. The center(lady) panel is not punctured or torn. There are some light moisture discolorations near her bottom panel which are not too severe or distracting. WE HAVE PRICED THE SCREEN WITH THESE ISSUES IN MIND. Otherwise. The screen would be substantially more. Here we have two walnut. Hand painted beams. Made from three lengths of walnut, each beam measures 16' 9" long, 6-1/2" high, 10" wide. Green scrolling and leaves with gold adorn the beams each end and in the center. The corner edges are chiseled and painted dark green. In the photographs. Wood Walnut (?) Architectural Salvage Element Plaque Emblem Domestic Sewing?
What a Great& Unique Piece! I'm not exactly sure what this was originally on- it may have been a sewing machine but I'm just not sure. It appears to be walnut wood but the best part is the framed interior"domestic" emblem. It has beautiful embellishments and rosettes that are absolutely stunning. Measures approximately 10" x 16" The small molding piece on the lower right is missing and there is some minor lifting of the veneer on the upper left. Some scratches and wear are also evident so please inspect photos closely. Thanks for looking! Items come from a smoke free home although some items may have once lived in a smoking environment. Description This is a beautiful piece that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. It is made of walnut and is currently painted. It was originally the outside from a built in armoire. The 4 legs have fluted pilasters topped with carved corbels. The crowns across the top are loaded with Eastlake Spoon Carvings. Ornate moldings and brackets. The center section has carved corner brackets and turned finials at the top. You could use this for a frame to a backbar. A butlers pantry or linen cabinet. It measures 111.5 inches long by 102 inches tall. It disassembles to load into a van or SUV. Overall. It is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique.
