Large size Victorian Walnut& Burl Walnut Marble top princess dresser with fabulous carved buckle pulls circa 1870's. This fine 19th century dresser has been in the same home since the 1950's and is estate fresh. We believe this dresser to have its original finish, marble and mirror and has its casters intact on the dresser base. The top drawer on each side features a wonderful lidded compartment and the drawers feature period dove-tailed joinery with beautiful carved walnut drawer pulls that resemble buckles. This dresser has a stunning presence with its gorgeous carvings and is very tight and solid and in wonderful antique condition. 53611 ANTIQUE 1840s EMPIRE MAHOGANY MANS PETITE DRESSER W MARBLE TOP & MIRROR
A most unusual antique. Circa 1840's, Empire period flame mahogany veneered and solid mahogany man's petite dresser. Lifting up and back of the top exposes a gray veined white marble surround, the underside of lid with the original very wavy mirror. The case holds four drawers with butterflied flame mahogany veneer fronts, the drawer interiors in oak. The case is on casters. The dresser measures 37-1/2" tall by 28" wide by 16" deep. Very good plus condition: damage is a horizontal crack to board and veneer across the top board of the lid. Both veneered sides have vertical shrinkage cracks. Includes all the locks and the key. The marble slabs are without chips, or stains. The right side marble piece has been broken in two and cemented back. The mirror is fine. The original finish has aged to almost an ebony color.

Gently used Victorian-period furniture. Having burled walnut panel dove-tailed drawers with glass drawer pulls, and three original marble slab tops. Circa 1885-1890's. Two small square drawers at the top. And two large, long drawers below. The piece is on the original four casters(wheels) No mirror- not sure if it ever had one. You can use this as a dresser. Vanity table, or convert it to a bathroom sink/vanity/counter. If you were to do a sink, you'd need to take the drawer bottoms off and somehow keep the drawer fronts on. Also great for storing old linens, clothes, and textiles. CONDITION: Excellent condition ... morewith a few minor scrapes. Scuffs, or scratches on either/both the wood and/or marble- nothing major. As to be expected, it could use a light cleaning and a good polishing before use, if not just to show it some love. Drawers slide as they should. All four casters present, although one keeps popping out of its hole if you lift it too high off the ground. Glass knobs may or may not be the original hardware. No key, but if you try a few sizes of skeleton/cabinet keys, you're sure to find one that will work the locks. Marble tops have no chips or cracks. No musty odors. From a smoke free home/environment. Hand carved three drawer mahogany Bombe style chest with marble top. Very high end craftsmanship. Each drawer has detailed floral carvings. Not stamped applied types. The bottom drawer is constructed of 2" thick from mahogany wood. The small pulls are solid brass. The sides of the chest have matchbook veneer. The marble top is in very good condition, no cracks. The drawer bottoms and sides are mahogany. Quality piece! The chest measures about 36" long x 19" deep x 29 1/4" tall. Overall I would say the chest is in very good condition for age and use. There is one 1/4" bump to the right side and one area on the left side that is lighter. At some point the drawer runners have been replaced. The wood appears to have an oil finish. It has been finished with a lovely marble surface and a large mirror top. The mirror has a beautiful and ornate carved design. Three large drawers sit below the marble surface. The drawers have dovetailed construction. All of the drawers are 33" wide and 14" deep. The top drawers is 6 1/8" tall. The middle is 7" tall and the bottom is 8 1/2" tall. The entire set-up measures 86" in height. It is 41 3/4" at the widest point. And 17 3/4" deep. It weighs approximately 177 pounds. The exposed marble surface measures 40 7/8" by 13 3/4" This is in great. Antique condition overall with some general signs of age and use. There are no visible cracks or repairs. There are ... morea few chips along the dresser edge. It appears as though there was originally a crown as well as a pair of candle holder arms. These pieces are no longer included. The mirror may be a replacement, since it is not beveled, but it is still a lovely match. There is a slight separation in the joint at the top of the mirror arch. I see a few very faint paint splatters on the dresser. There are minor imperfections, such as scratches or spots of wear, which I believe should be expected on a piece of this age. A very fine antique. Circa 1860's, solid walnut dresser with gray veined white marble top. Above is the separate mirror in frame, and yoke having a pair of candle stands and glove boxes. The mirror crest is beautifully carved with roses, the dresser drawers with nice carved grips. Dresser retains the three locks with walnut escutcheons, no key. Secondary wood is maple. Mirror frame will swivel. It has been nicely refinished. Total furniture measures 7'2" 86" tall by 3'5" 41" wide by 18-1/2" deep. Excellent condition: walnut without chips or cracks, beveled marble without chips or cracks, very minor stain drip specks. The mirror glass is undamaged, no backing spots or cloudiness, 2-1/2" scratch. Beautiful Victorian Marble Top Drop Well Dresser. This is a amazing piece of Victorian furniture in wonderful condition. This dresser has a fabulous carved crest. Beautiful raised panels of burl walnut and the original beveled edge marble that does show some discoloration as common in old marble. The mirror looks to be original and shows a little age with some flakes and streaks. The mirror has neat candle holders that have seen the test of time once or twice. They are well attached but have had to be re-glued. T he base has four small drawers over two long drawers. Each drawer has raised edge and hand carved handles. This piece also has casters intact for easier moving within your home.
