Up for auction is a Holy Rood Guild Roman purple priest chasuble and stole with decorative tapestry around the neck. The Holy ... moreRood Guild in Spencer. MA, is known for the beauty, quality and longevity of their vestments. A comparable chasuble and stole set today would sell for close to $500 and most of their designs are over $1000. This particular chasuble and stole are older and are gently used, although it is clean and without stains or other markings. There is a zipper at the neck(see photo) which keeps the chasuble well fitted. Pease note that the stitching holding the tapestry in place is coming undone on the right shoulder and in a few other places(see photos) Thankfully, it has not caused damage to the vestment and could easily be re-sewn. In fact, I believe that the owner could decide to remove the tapestry entirely without causing damage to the vestment, if desired. Some of the hem on the back of the vestment is slightly undone, but again, could easily be fixed. The chasuble is unlined, while the stole is lined. Measurements are approximate: about 80" wide when spread out, about 48" from the neck to the bottom in the front and about 52" from the neck to the bottom in the back. The overall length of the stole, when laid flat out, including tassels, is about 57"

White Priest Chasuble/ Stole/Chalice Veil/Burse Vestment (015)
This Vintage White Chasuble and Stole have some wear showing but are still in usable shape. The Battenburg Rose design in the white material looks very nice with a single band of burgundy velvet which is outlined with gold trim down the front(a very small spot near the band looks as though the burgundy bled some color) There is a slight reddish stain near the bottom left of the chasuble as well. Neither of these are very noticeable. There is a burgundy velvet Y band outlined with gold trim on the back of the chasuble. The applique on the back Y band has a 10 inch heighth and 8 inch width. And gold threads embroidered the I H S on burgundy velvet in the center of the applique, the gold crown on the applique is studded with mullti colored beads and hand embroidered background. The chasuble is 45 inches long in the back and 41 inches in the ... morefront and fully lined in gold satin material(there is some minor discoloration on the lining, not sure what it's from) A 12 inch neck opening is outlined with a double burgundy velvet and gold trim. The chasuble is 57 inches wide. The matching fully lined stole is 98 inches long plus a three inch white fringe at each end. There are four velvet bands on each side of the stole outlined with gold trim, the lower bands are 3 and 3/4 inch wide the one at the top of each side is 3 and 1/2 inches. The Chalice Veil is 23 and 1/2 inches by 24 inches, it has a few water/wine? stains which are not particularly noticeable. The veil is fully lined in the same gold material as the stole and chasuble and outlined with gold and white cording with detailed knots at the corners. The veil has a 4 inch padded gold cross applique with a red glass/plastic bead in the center. The Burse is a 9 inch square with the same 4 inch gold padded cross applique and the red bead, and the gold and white cording around the edges. These items were hand crafted with great care. The age of these items is unknown but the parish was over 100 years old when it closed in 2011, most probably from the late1960's or

Purple Violet Chasuble and Stole Priest Vestment
Up for auction is a stunning violet/purple chasuble and matching stole. I'm not quite sure of the age of this vestment. It is clean and in very good condition. With the exception of some fraying on the shoulders(see pictures) where the lining shows through. This could easily be repaired by a seamstress. The vestment is very light-weight. Measurements are approximate. It measures approximately 38.5 inches from the neck to the bottom in the front, and about 40 or so inches from the neck to the bottom in the back. The chasuble is in the traditional gothic style, so it is meant to be a bit smaller than the typical monastic chasubles that are common today. Overall, while the vestment needs a bit of TLC, it is a very good find.

Antique Green Chasuble and Stole for Catholic Priest, Clergy Vestment for Mass
Beautiful Antique Green Chasuble and Stole for Mass This is an antique green chasuble and stole set for the celebration of the Mass. It is in good condition with very little wear. The material is of a kelly green that is much more Roman than the darker forest green color that is often produced today. The back is embroidered with a cross that is composed of flowers with the iconic IHS in the center. The front is a simple pillar composed in the same theme as the back. There are two strings that are used to secure the vestment around the waist of the priest. The matching stole is in very good condition and its adorned with metallic fringe on the bottom. It has a sewn cloth around the neck to absorb any sweat that may damage the material. The only sign of age and wear is found on the front between the embroidered part of the vestment. The cloth ... moreis slightly distressed and is beginning to fray. This can be seen in the photos 6& 7 provided above. Aside from this. The lining is in excellent condition for its age. Violet Chasuble Priest Vestment w matching Stole
Violet Priest's Chasuble This Chasuble measures 42" down the front. 44" down the back, with a 52" width. There is a Chi Rho symbol embroidered on the front and the back. It is a nice violet color. With a matching stole that measures 44" down each side, for a total length of 88" The width measures 2" at the top widening to 4" at the bottom. There is no symbol or decoration on the stole. The stole has a dedication embroidered on it.

White Priest's Stole Catholic Mass Vestment
This Priest's Stole is off white. More of an ivory color. It is 50" long per side. For a total length of 100" The Stole is narrow at the neck. Widening to a 3 1/2" width at the bottom. It has a gold embroidered cross at the top. And an embroidered cross at the bottom on each side. I had to look hard. But I did find a couple of very small spots on this Stole. All my items come from a smoke free. Pet free home.
